Perfect combo of greasy, saucy, cheesy and delish! I live a block away from this spot and have seen the great reviews but have been trying to steer clear from caloric goodness as of late but after a night out on the town, I was nursing a pretty wicked hangover and used it as the perfect excuse to give it a whirl. YES! YES! Yaaassss! As all classy ladies do, I started with a nice bruschetta, fresh tomatoes.. healthy :) To be honest, I wasn't expecting much and thankfully I live super close or else not sure it would have been as good, the super flavorful tomato blend was extra saucy/juicy and nearly soaked through the bread it was on but was still good, may be a better bet to put the toppings on the side in the future and assemble yourself. The star of the show was the "za" it was so good but messy ( asked for extra sauce so probably my bad on that one) the only reason I didn't do 5 Stars is because nearly every piece stuck on the bottom to the cardboard and so I had to make sure I wasn't eating paper before every piece. My family and I got together to decorate and bake holiday cookies, for my grandmother, as a surprise for when she comes home from the hospital. So last Saturday night I ordered a cheese, mushroom and green pepper thin crust....it was deeeelicious!!! Sorrento's is now my go to pizza place on the north side!!! Had my first pizza from Sorrento's a few days ago, I have to say that it was very delicious! I asked for extra sauce, and for it to be well done and I got exactly what I ordered. They definitely don't skimp on the ingredients, that is half of what makes a good pie. I gave a 4 star review rather than the 5 they should have because when I ordered I paid by card, when the driver delivered my food he asked for payment and said the receipt didn't reflect I had paid. The driver left the items and said he would call me if he gets back and they say otherwise. Kudos to the driver for trusting!!! read more

Tried this place for the first time last night after reading some really good yelp reviews! Overall I was impressed. It wasn't the greatest pizza I ever had, but it was REALLY Good and the price was right on. I ordered a family size thin crust with sausage. It was a good quality sausage , the sauce was acidic (not sweet which is nasty) and cheese was cooked perfectly. It was like $18 something with tax and we had plenty of leftovers. The woman working the counter was pleasant and made some good small talk with me. I've heard the sandwiches and Italian dishes are good , but haven't tried them. Their pizza is great but the dinner we had the other night SUCKED. Ordered chicken parm, which comes with salad bread and spaghetti. Salad was tiny styro cup of salad and ALL THE LETTUCE was BROWN and wilted and tomatos were slimy and puckered. So gross. Opened the container of chicken parmigan and almost barfed. The chicken was pasty white, no breading, no seasoning except some black pepper. Looked like a slab of boiled chicken and it was overcooked so it was dry and gross. It was drowned in sauce which would have been ok but the sauce tasted like sugary tomato. Actually reminded me of Franco American Spaghetti Oh's. Literally tasted the same. No oregano, no garlic, no salt or pepper. No onion. nada. Just tomato and sugar. And it was SHIT. Really shitty. Cheese was'nt melty or gooey. I don't know how many deliveries the guy had before mine, but the pasta was hot, cheese cold. , just a solid mass of poor quality motz. Spaghetti in container had little sauce and a side of parm. Even the bread was stale! WTF? Ill order peetz again but nothing else. With delivery and tip this shitty dinner was almost $20 and not worth $3. No more for us! read more

After 20 visits at Sorrento I think I'm obligated to write a review. This is based on the Pizza. Simple easy review. 1)Thin crust is cooked perfectly, always crispy with a slight char on top. Just like it should be. Never have to ask, it's just done that way. ( they had me hooked right there) 2)Staff- excellent. Always happy to take your order and take your money. Not knit picky if you ask for extra sauce or dressing like other places that want to charge.Lol. 3)Family run place for many years. I like that about it to. ***4) Their pizza deals are amazing. Where now a days can you get 2 @ 12" pizzas for $13?? Both get 1 topping. I know your saying" oh their probably cheap on the ingredients then" but let me tell you, they load them on to the perfect amount. Bonus-----they have great pasta with vodka sauce!! Just ordered from Sorrentos, picked up the food which by the way was close to $70.00. This was the first time ordering from this place. I even went to pickup the food. Now for the food-terrible!!! The pizza was crispy but no taste. The ribs were fatty just a little sauce. I tried to give the ribs to my dog-guess what-no go!!!! The burgers were nothing to brag about. Wow, being a pizza snob i'm truly blessed to live within delivery range of so many solid options. Sorrento's has a very good thin crust, crispy and a hint of butter. Theitr sauce is good, the toppings are good quality, and the cheese is very good. My only beef with these guys is I ordered the supposed "jumbo wings", I will say they were good wings. But the "jumbo" part is false advertisement as these are fairly regular sized wings. -1 star for that. All in all good service, good prices, and they always seem to have a special to fit the budget. My bf and I recently moved to this neighborhood so we decided to find a new pizza place close to home for our pizza nights. So we tried this place since it is only two streets from home. We LOVED it, the thin crust is not too hard nor too soft it's just perfect. They aren't stingy with the ingredients and always have the pizza on time. Once we ordered as soon as they opened and their oven wasn't working right so we waited a hole hour but they were nice enough to give us free appetizers and a pop :). We've been ordering from there ever since. BUT the last time that we orderes which was a few days ago their pizza was just a MESS. The pizza looked a lot smaller than we ordered. It looked like a 16" when we ordered an 18". There was no crust on half of the pizza, and my half of the pizza (jalapeños and olives) was thrown only to the very last row of my slices. It looked so sloppy. Idk what happened that day with the pizza maker, but we've been a regular buying the same pizza every week he even remembers us and so does the cashier. We were very good customers but now I think we'll start trying other places and see what happens because that was a horrible experience. Pizza here was perfect for my taste, not too much sauce and the pizza was not too doughy, I prefer thin crust so this was perfect. This appears to be family owned and I prefer patronizing business's in the neighborhood rather than the commercial ones. I will return and try some of there others dishes. read more
