An alien Napoleon ice cream sandwich - one of the specials

SoulBaked has the best ice cream sandwiches and açaí creations I have ever had. The açaí bowls are made with raw açaí, not cut with other ingredients and comes with unlined toppings! The açaí ice cream sandwiches are one of a kind and there are always new specials available to try. I highly recommend trying out SoulBaked, it's like nothing you've had before, healthy and clean ingredients and amazing customer service!

I found pubes in my acai bowl. Absolutely not vegan. Probably gluten free but still, nasty bro.

Yum! I don't think I've ever had a "pure" açaí bowl before (usually mixed with blueberries,…read morestrawberries, etc.), but I'm a big fan now. This little store is inside the Bakeshop by Coco Playa so the sign is hard to spot. They sell açaí bowls (in a cup) and smoothies + Brazilian cheese bread :) The acai is smooth and creamy, and I liked how it was sweet (honey added) and didn't melt very quickly. Super tasty! They do a good job layering on the toppings and making the cup look pretty. There's an option to do half acai and half coconut sorbet; the sorbet was super sweet and packed a punch of coconut flavor-- so good and refreshing! The blueberries seemed thawed from frozen so some of them were still frosty but they were still sweet. MT really enjoyed the pistachio butter too. They did away with their Tuesday special of unlimited toppings, but now you get unlimited regular toppings everyday with regular+ sizes. Premium options (like protein powder, pistachio butter, almond butter, goji berries, etc) come with an additional cost. Definitely pricey but a special, fun, and tasty treat! We enjoyed Açaí Carioca so much we went 3 times in a week! This location has better parking (a shopping plaza lot), was less busy, friendlier service, and had a few seats outside compared to their other location. If you're craving a refreshing and somewhat healthy treat, check this place out!

They changed their menu, and now they have "unlimited toppings" every day instead of just Tuesdays,…read morebut many of the topping options are a "premium" upcharge (which I don't love) but at least now I can go whenever I feel like instead of timing my visit specifically for Tuesdays. Prices can really stack up though, so I just stick to the basic toppings. I got a half acai/half coconut sorbet cup with all the fruits and coconut shavings. It's SO good, I highly recommend the coconut sorbet to any coconut fan! The texture and flavor of real açaí here is so amazing, completely a different experience from any of the other açaí places. That makes this my favorite açaí spot I've tried so far in San Diego. The Brazilian bread is super addicting as well!

I can tell he tries to remember every face that comes in and he was kind enough to remedy the situation today when I was waiting for it and one of the other workers didn't know it was for me and put it in the fridge. I will continue coming back to support this business! They are consistent with their bowls and smoothies too which is great!

Everbowl -- Loma Portal, San Diego…read more Back in my natural habitat. Ordered the Large PB Everbowl because confidence was high and hunger was higher. Respectfully... the large fought back. Let's start with the good. Flavor? Solid. Peanut butter showed up like a starter, not a bench player. Ingredients were fresh, clean, and legit. Now the audit. The ratios on the large made mixing feel like a CrossFit session. I was excavating toppings only to discover a thick reserve of untouched açaí at the bottom. Structurally ambitious. Practically challenging. Professional recommendation: Order the medium. Better balance. Better blend. Less archaeological digging. The base leaned a little heavy for my personal preference -- not bad, just dense. Some people like that. I prefer flow. Now... the headline. The Staff!! 6/5. I don't hand those out casually. Friendly. Fast. Honest. Elite banter. The kind of service that makes you want to become a regular immediately. Would I go back? For the bowl? Yes. For the staff? Immediately. Rating 3.8 / 5 Açaí Berries Breakdown Taste: 4/5 Ingredients: 4/5 Ratios: 3/5 Service: 6/5 Vibes: 5/5 Current Status: Medium over Large Lesson Learned: Size matters. Mix wisely. -- The Açaí Guy

Waited for about 5 minutes and was greeted by a gentleman who took my order I got a decaf, dirty, iced vanilla chai. It was good but not a lot of chai flavor. Not overly sweet which is good I also ordered the ham and cheese stuffed croissant. I think they just warm it up. And I think it was overdone. The cheese had come out and was burnt, which is OK cause I like burnt cheese. But the end of the croissant was hard and edible. Overall it's a great option if you're local and looking for a cafe that's walkable with lots of seating. But I wouldn't go through the effort of finding parking to visit. To the business owner: I have a handicap placard that was clearly visible in my windshield. But I'm happy that you showed other customers who are as a business owner and why they should not frequent your business. As you can see from my picture the croissant was not edible. Address that instead of worrying about the parking and making false claims online. Thanks

They had plenty of seats but limited parking on the streets and some reserved parking on the sidewalk. The Cafe isnt in the building, its on the north side of the building where the parking is. I got the Ocean bowl for my wife and a couple of others to try and they enjoyed it. The fruits were fresh and all the flavors meshed pretty well. Definitely recommend on a hot day. The seating area also has shade if you need to cool off for a bit.

Vietnamese banh mi lover approved!…read more I'm really glad I got the chance to try this banh mi spot. The pâté was a little light, but overall everything hit the spot. There's nothing overly fancy or standout here, but honestly that's refreshing considering how many mediocre sandwich shops are out there. There was more space than I expected and the dining area felt clean and slightly elevated, not just a typical grab and go spot. Up front, they have all the classic banh mi sandwiches lined up on the menu. They also offer more than just banh mi, which I liked. There are rice plates, beef stew, smoothies, boba, and flavored teas, plus some quick snack options. When I got there, the woman at the front was helping other customers, so I waited a bit and looked over the menu. Once she was free, she took my order. I got the barbecue short rib rice dish, a #1 special banh mi (no cucumbers, extra cilantro), and a green tea with honey. My food came out in about 10 minutes, which is quick for three items, and I took it to go. While I was waiting, I had a really nice conversation with her. She mentioned they recently updated the menu to match their other locations, and she was just super sweet and friendly. After a long day, that kind of interaction really stands out. The green tea with honey was the only miss. It was very lacked any predominant flavors, almost no sweetness, and tasted a bit watered down. The banh mi itself was pretty big. The presentation felt a little rushed and the bread was slightly smashed, but overall it was still solid. It had a good amount of pâté, and the pickled daikon and carrots added a nice balance. I would've liked more cilantro, but that's just preference. The bread wasn't super crunchy, which I didn't mind, and it was filling. The standout was the barbecue short rib rice dish. The meat was flavorful, salty, and savory, and the juices soaked into the rice really well. The fish sauce on the side had a nice punch with a slight kick. It also came with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and pickled veggies, which balanced everything out. It was about $15 after tax, which felt reasonable for short ribs. Overall, the hospitality really stood out. It made the experience feel more personal. It's a bit out of the way for me, but if I'm in Point Loma again, I'd definitely come back for a quick lunch.
