    2017 mustang GT

To start off, I have a 2017 mustang GT 10/10 times I'll recommend anyone from getting a ford or even just getting their current vehicle worked on from this ford dealership. Over the course of 1year, this dealership had my car for 7 months of the year, First 3 months I had to go there due to some misfiring issues I had with my vehicle, turned out to be further issues lying in the engine had to get a vehicle replaced, which was covered through my warranty, (they also charge more than what outside warranties cover, so had to still pay on top of it) I assumed a new engine okay, so I'll be good for pretty good time, as I just daily the vehicle to work and home. 2 1/2 months go by of just being a daily driver, as I headed to the store the vehicle stalled on me, confused I was able to start it back and pull into the parking lot, noticing I am now In limp mode, CEL is back on, vehicle is misfiring heavily, I was able to tow it back to the dealership, and showed them the codes I found, and explained the issue. They found the issue was the VCT sensor was bad (they used from previous engine and didn't tell me) later tried to tell me and charge me $10,000 for repairs, and I had to argue with them stating it's INSIDE THE ENGINE, and it's covered under the ford warranty due to the engine replacement, after some time was abled for them to actually confirm it and continued with the repairs... As of yesterday Roughly 3-4 months later I was able to go back and pick up my vehicle after 3 month back order for cams, along with then notifying me a retainer clip on a hose was broken off and replaced with a zip tie, and wouldn't be covered by them. (I've not touched inside the engine bay, only the dealership) Along the route back home I had an issue with the CEL reappearing and misfires appearing. for the safety of the engine, I had it towed the remainder of the way, along being able to check codes, the same codes appeared, and in back in the same spot I was last time, without a vehicle... warranty had saved me money, but the incompetence of the techs/employees there failing to properly fix an engine is beyond me.. 2 times for me with over $40k work in the engine, and still they can't get the job done properly..

Ford makes some pretty great cars today. Just don't buy one from Sound Ford. We regret it.

Before bringing my car in, I called and explained that I was confident the issue was the trunk latch. I asked about pricing and whether they had the latch in stock. I was told the first step would be to bring the car in so they could see if that was the problem. Once there, a mechanic tried slamming the trunk shut but it still wouldn't close. I was then told they needed to diagnose the issue for $140.00 to 170.00 At that point, I agreed because it sounded like they thought it might be something other than the trunk latch. Instead, I was charged $269 for a diagnostic, only to be told exactly what I already knew that the trunk latch was the problem. I don't understand why I was charged such a high diagnostic fee when I clearly explained the issue from the start. To make matters worse, I was quoted close to $800 to replace the trunk latch. For reference, the same latch for a 2016 Chevy Malibu LT 2.0 costs under $200 online. Between the excessive diagnostic fee and the inflated repair quote, I chose to walk away after paying the $269. They also claimed my battery was going bad, even though it was replaced just 7 months ago. Then today, I received a voicemail asking if I wanted to schedule work not just for the trunk latch and battery, but now spark plugs and struts issues that were never mentioned before. It honestly feels like they kept adding problems out of nowhere. I've had good experiences with them in the past, which makes this even more disappointing. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be bringing my car here again

The sunroof on my Infiniti would not close and that was very frustrating and concerning to me, especially living in an area they get so much rain. I took it in first thing in the morning and a couple hours later they were calling to let me know that they had fixed the problem On another occasion, I was clumsy, attempting to change out my standard headlamp bulbs to some high visibility ones. I quickly hit my mechanical threshold, but not before I rendered one of the lights interoperable. Very tight working conditions. I took it into the shop and they called me an hour later saying that it was done. Other than those occasions, I've had some general work done, including oil changes and 30 and 60,000 mile maintenance packages. I have always found them to be courteous, offer a shuttle vehicle back to work and great communication. I highly recommend Greg's Japanese Auto.

I had a very disappointing experience with Greg's Japanese Auto and would not recommend them based…read moreon both the communication and the diagnostic service I received. I brought in my 2004 Honda Odyssey because of an intermittent transmission problem. I explained in detail that the vehicle had occasionally failed to engage properly and appeared to go into limp mode. I also explained that about two months earlier, while driving from California to Washington, the transmission had overheated and pushed fluid out through the dipstick tube. I specifically told them this because there was still old dark transmission fluid residue around the top of the transmission. I left the vehicle with them for approximately a week. During that time, communication was extremely poor. I rarely received updates unless I called them myself. When I did call, I was repeatedly told they would get back to me, but I continued having to follow up to find out what was happening. When I finally picked up the vehicle, I was charged $242.87, including $219.99 for diagnostic time. Their paperwork says the diagnostic service includes a test drive, computer scan, monitoring the data stream, evaluating diagnostic information, and checking applicable technical service bulletins. However, the actual written findings were extremely limited. Their report states that the vehicle was "shifting OK at this time," that the transmission fluid looked clean and the level was OK, and that they found code P0730. It then states that the transmission had "failed internally" and recommends replacing the entire transmission. They quoted me approximately $7,400 for the replacement. When I asked how they determined that the transmission had internally failed, I was simply told it was based on their testing. I was not given any detailed test results showing what specifically established an internal mechanical failure. If I am paying over $200 specifically for a transmission diagnosis before being told I need a $7,400 repair, I expect a clear explanation and documentation showing how that conclusion was reached, especially when their own report says the vehicle was shifting normally during their test drive. Maybe the transmission ultimately does need replacement. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that after leaving my vehicle there for approximately a week, repeatedly having to call for updates, and paying $242.87, I left without a clear explanation of what testing actually proved that the entire transmission needed to be replaced. Between the lack of communication and the lack of detail supporting such an expensive recommendation, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. You're better off going to Firestone down the street, and they're a rip-off, so that goes to show.

I was looking for a shop at least to take a look at my car, but after trying hard for 3 weeks, I didn't find anyone. One of my friends recommended Chau's to me. I called explained the situation. First, Dennis hesitated as it might not be worth repairing. I begged him to at least take a look at the photos. He agreed. After sending him photos by email, he responded within an hour that he thought it would be worth repairing but he would have to find out whether the parts were available. He asked me to give him some time to find out. Two days later, he contacted me that he had found all the necessary parts and that he gave me an estimate of repair price. The repair price was so close to the insurance company's quote, which most repair shops had told me that it was impossible. Since my friend recommended Chau's, I decided to let Chau's do it. Dennis kept me informed the status of the repair, and the repair was done within the time he had promised. When I went to pick up the car, I was surprised and delighted to find it like brand new condition. The body work was pretty, and all the mechanic issues were fixed. The price was still the same as quoted. I am very happy and satisfied. I would highly recommend Chau's.
