I was in the mood for another smoky brisket sandwich, but not wanting to deal the parking situation at the location closer to me, I decided I'd try my chances in Orange. I was happy to discover that parking here was easy breezy! This is also a fairly new location. What I found interesting is that direct access to the front door is by a short flight of stairs. Anyone with disabilities would need to use a ramp that's located on the opposite end of the patio next to the sushi place. Speaking of patios, they do have a spacious outdoor eating area in addition to limited indoor seating. As with all Sourdough & Co locations, orders are placed at the counter and they call your name when your food is ready. If you haven't already downloaded their app, be sure to do that so that you can accumulate rewards for your purchases. Like today I got a free cookie as a gift for it being my birthday month. The workers today were friendly and worked the register and food prep efficiently. Quality, taste, and presentation of the food is consistent across the board. My sandwich definitely satisfied my craving and the lemon cookie was the perfect sweet ending to my lunch. I recently stopped by Sourdough & Co., and overall it was an okay experience. The place felt clean and welcoming, and the sourdough bread was clearly fresh, which I really appreciated. I ordered the #13 Garlic Pesto Turkey, and the ingredients like the provolone, tomato, and onion all tasted fresh and worked well together. That said, there were a couple of things that didn't quite hit for me. The garlic pesto flavor was barely noticeable, which was disappointing since it's supposed to be a key part of the sandwich. I saw this spot recently opened up and had to try it! Staff were really friendly when I came in and they had a kiosk to make ordering easy. I love that you can customize your sandwich as you see fit (think the highest quality subway) to get exactly what you're craving. There were tons of options on their menu & they had gluten free options too! I got the turkey sandwich & chips and it was delicious. Perfect serving size and made with care. Excited that we're getting some new food spots in the area. My coworker and I stopped in for lunch during the week. There is plenty of parking but as another review stated, you do have to climb stairs to get inside. There were a few other parties in there but there was only one person ahead of us and the order process seemed to go quickly. I ordered the cranberry turkey with baked potato soup and my coworker ordered the French dip with their Mac and cheese. We opted to sit outside because it was a gorgeous SoCal day and who wouldn't what to take advantage of that? It did take some time for our food to arrive and when we were about halfway through our sandwiches, I realized that my coworker hadn't received his Mac and cheese. Fortunately an employee brought it out without us having to ask for it. However communication that it would take a little bit longer when we received the rest of our food would have been great. The cranberry turkey sandwich was ok. I could see the cranberry sauce on there but didn't get much flavor from it. Fortunately the baked potato soup was hearty and delicious. I'm always excited for a new place to open near me. I drive by this shopping center several times a week so I'm always keeping an eye out for new places to try. First, I'm not sure who created this Yelp page, but the place is called Sourdough & Co, not just Sourdough. Second, it's not that big inside, but they have a good-sized patio in the front. Third, they're still waiting for their liquor license, which I'm sure will bring more people in. The people working there are super nice. They're still working out some kinks, but that's to be expected for a new location. After ordering in person, I was able to find their app, and also saw they have a screen you can order from that's not near the register, which is a good thing! So many restaurants place the self-order screen right next to the regular register, and it just creates a cluster of people that no one can maneuver through. The food is really good. Not sure I'd call it great, but it's tasty. It's also more expensive that another local sourdough bread company, and the meat isn't as plentiful. The sandwich I ordered was nice and hot though which I appreciated. The cookies are pretty dang good, but also on the pricey side. They get a bonus star for having Coke products and free refills! I haven't looked at the app to see if there are rewards you can earn, but that's not a deal breaker. I'm sure I'll visit again as they have pizza, which I always have to try. read more

Walked in and waited a few minutes before we got acknowledged but that was ok cuz we were looking at the menu. Finally when we got helped, and then they told us a 40min wait. 40min? For a sandwich? I did notice there was about 5-6 people waiting before us. It just surprises me that because this isn't a restaurant where the food isn't being cooked. Everything is pre cut made. We stopped in here to grab lunch to go after our usual Sunday morning grocery shopping. Very clean, nice homey feeling, decent sized patio to sit on, but it was HOT inside. They had ceiling fans on, but it felt cooler outside, and outside it was high 80's. I felt bad for the workers, turn on the A/C! My husband ordered a hot sandwich, the Crispy Crunchy Chicken, and I had a cold sandwich, Turkey Garlic Pesto. They weren't very busy but it seemed like we waited way too long for our food to be made, probably because it felt like we were sitting in an oven. Got home and dug into our food. We liked it! Their sourdough bread is great, I was afraid it would be too hard, but it had a nice crunch while staying soft on the inside. My pesto sandwich was really good, I preferred it to his crunchy chicken. Their pesto is super tasty and all the ingredients tasted fresh, I would have liked more onions though. Oh! Can't forget about their pickles, loved them! They are dill but have a different flavor to them than the usual dill pickles I have had, really enjoyed it. I think we'll eat here again. My sandwich was $13 and his was $14, not bad. I told management about it. You're better off going to the register to order your food, the automated screen that they have is very difficult to understand as well as to put in everything. I played with it for ten minutes and became very frustrated. And they had a special that you would get chips and a drink that day for free.When you ordered your sandwich. However, it's not available on the touch screen that they have in front which I had no idea, then, the server came out to look at my order to try to help me and said that. My wife and I tried Sourdough and Co. last week. I had the Chili Bread Bowl. My wife had the 4" Turkey Sandwich. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: The food is pretty good. The sourdough bowl was tasty and the chili was thick and meaty. My wife liked her sandwich. They have a convenient location. What was the Mall of Orange is a good central location. I like the menu. Bread bowels are hard to come by. They have nice outdoor seating. You are not sitting on the edge of noisy traffic. Cons: For the price, the sandwich portions are small. You have to go upstairs to get the restaurant. This is not a problem for me but is a problem for my wife. So, in summary, will we go back? Sure.
