Clean and modern dining area and bathrooms, plenty of parking outside. Today I ordered the breakfast sandwich. It was fluffy, delicious, and filling! I opted for the caramel on the side which gave the sandwich a nice kick! I also ordered an iced mocha which was okay, I'll most likely order the Honey late next time! Service was quick, staff was friendly, also they were able to pick up my dishes from the table as I finished the meal. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards system!

    Chilaquiles con Carnitas

One of my favorite breakfast spots when I come to Napa. I always stop here for their freshly made breakfast. Sometimes I get their seasonal toasts: strawberries or tomato. Today we ordered chilaquiles con carnitas. Generous portions that my husband and I shared. I also order their iced mocha naranja. Mocha with a little twist. It has freshly grated orange rind. This place never disappoints. I have been coming here for years.

Out in Napa and had to stop in at our favorite venue Southside. Usually a morning staple when working in Napa.

We love Southside with their trendy, little modern indoor area & their nicely shaded outdoor patio! A very convenient place to meet when I come over from Sonoma to see my husband while he's working - service is speedy and kind! But it's the food that keeps bringing us back. They have nice variations of avocado toast, which I love and they have delicious breakfast sandwiches. They also have delicious biscuits and gravy (and other unique and fun breakfast and lunch dishes) plus decent coffee (I prefer the Americanos) and delightful pastries! You can't go wrong at Southside and you can have breakfast (or lunch) in under 30-45 minutes, which is really nice and efficient. (Also, If you go for breakfast, there is plenty of parking.) I have to give Southside five stars !

Chilaquiles with scrambled eggs. Iced Almond Horchata Latte
    Maria C.

I recently visited Southside and it did not disappoint! It was a rainy weekday, busy with to-go orders and people flowing in. Ambiance and decor are on point; modern and chic. Food is amazing and has so much flavor. I ended up ordering the Chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, paired with an Iced Almond Horchata Latte. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and made it hard to choose! Both came out quickly. Staff were very pleasant and happy! Only con is that it is small inside, I wish they moved to a larger location with more seating. I can't wait to try their other dishes!

Grilled Strawberry Toast and Mexican wedding cookies

We were pleasantly surprised by this location to be able to get in for a quick brunch on a Sunday morning without a wait. I particularly loved the seasonal grilled strawberry toast with ricotta and honey plus a crushed almond topping. My wife enjoyed her chilaquiles as well and her iced almond horchata latte. Delicious Mexican wedding cookies we couldn't resist on display in the case next to the register. Staff were friendly and quickly and easily corrected a mistake in our order. Both indoor and outdoor patio seating available.

Cornmeal pancake with whipped cream and pineapple with horchata iced coffee

The breakfast was fabulous, cornmeal pancake was home run and so was the service. Horchata iced coffee was a grand slam to remember. The atmosphere is casual and had a chill LA vibes. My brother's tostada looked great! I would go again in the future

    New School Avocado Toast

Came in for breakfast this morning and SO many things sounded incredibly appealing. I settled on trying the New School Avocado toast and a salted honey lavender latte. As everyone's meal started arriving at our table, my sister-in-law pointed out to me that they brought me the wrong order (old school vs new school avocado toast.) With both being the same price, I figured I'd just roll with it and not make mention. However, quite rapidly staff was back at the table addressing the mistake they had made (and very quickly caught on their own), delivering my correct dish at the same time. It's not often places catch their own mistakes, but even less often that it's instantly corrected. I appreciated the attention to detail! All 5 poached eggs at our table were poached to absolute perfection, perfectly running down our plates as we split them open. I'm really looking forward to coming back and trying some other options!

Outstanding cafe with a great food menu. If you are in Napa - highly recommend going to Southside Century. Photos below. The breakfast sandwich crushed it. Yes, as it should be - breakfast is available all day.

    Breakfast Sandwich

The food is great here. Came to brunch with my kids and of course left not disappointed. I have been here before and they do not get one dish wrong. Most things are healthy. Today I tried the biscuits and gravy came with yummy runny poached eggs. The twin kids got a giant pancake to split. I asked them what they wanted to say about their review and they said: "Thank you" portions are generous. My son got a breakfast Sammy. The iced latte was perfect. I am pretty sure they used model bakery muffins for the sandwich and it was Devine. Looks like they have expanded their menu. Everything is great! The outdoor seating is nice. Lots of dogs out here. My kids have them dog bowls for water. This is dog friendly and they have water bowls. So nice. Friendly people on staff and at the outdoor area.

Food: amazing tastes! Definitely one of my go-to brunch spot in Napa. Their Mocha Naranja is a must try. The refreshing citrus taste and scents elevates the mocha flavor to another level. Service: very welcoming and helpful. Ambiance: simple and aesthetically comfortable. Nice for a quality time with your partner, friends and small family.

    Chorizo Biscuits & Gravy

Absolutely incredible- will be coming back for the biscuits and gravy. The chorizo crumble on top was such a great touch! *I got a hard fried egg in lieu of poached The cappuccino was really good and overall this was a great spot to grab breakfast!

Well... consider me humbled. He handled the ordering while I took in the ambiance, completely unaware that my first bite of the carne asada was about to silence me in a way his endless recommendations never could. My eyes genuinely lit up. The seasoning was layered, deeply savory, and somehow impossible to put into words. I'm not one to police what is or isn't "authentic," but damn. Even my Asian grandma could take one bite and say, "His mama made this." There was something unmistakably soulful about it--the kind of flavor that feels less like a recipe and more like a mother's love worked into every bite. Then came bite number two: carne asada, generously dressed with the green sauce. And that was the cake topper. Holy guacamole. I need a bottle of that green sauce immediately. It's bright, spicy, addictive, and the kind of condiment that makes you start mentally calculating how much you can take home without looking unreasonable. Would I drive all the way to Napa for these tacos alone? Absolutely. The drive is worth it. The tacos are worth it. And apparently, so is being forced to admit that my boyfriend was right. These tacos were sooo good. I honestly wasn't expecting to find authentic tacos in Napa. I will definitely eat here again if I'm ever back in Napa. I wish we had this taco spot back home. After you get your order you find a table to put your number down so they know where to find you. The salsa bar was also great. They had two very good and very spicy salsas that I loved. They also had a non spicy green one for people who don't eat spicy. 10/10 tacos

Now it's just very plain, drab, dried out meats. Visited 3/16/26 went all in with an open mind hoping to relive that culinary magic that used to thrive here. Got the carnitas burrito and carne asada / carnitas tacos. Sadly it was all a miss. Almost everywhere in Napa gives complimentary chips salsa, maybe $1 or 2 for refill or no charge at all . Tannyas charges $4 for stale rock hard cold corn chips and charge for extra salsa. No refills! I wouldn't even mind paying for chips and salsa if it was good, but it just wasn't at all. Not BAD but ive had better at home or from the grocery store. The burrito was fairly small. Super Average filled with subpar bland spanish rice & refried beans. Carnitas was dried out. We ordered a couple more tacos those were sadly really uneventful. Super dry. Old. Not much flavor. Hard shell was tough brittle. Almost cut up my mouth a few times on the chips. Hopefully tannyas can get it together. Bring back the good food.
