What a hidden gem. Stopped here after an event at the colosseum. Really cool Murals on the outside of the building. Cute dining room and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a hibachi burrito with shrimp. It was amazing. Nice work!

Hibachi Burrito with beef. Flavors were unbelievable, texture of rice and vegetables perfect and the meat was nice and tender.

The food is so so so good! The service was great, I chose a horrible time to get lunch and they were so apologetic for any wait but I was fully aware of what I was getting myself into. I will definitely be back to try something else

    Chicken Fried Rice.

Delicious food every time I get it. Lovely portions. Worth the price. The food was done when I arrived.

We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!

Unfortunately, I visited today for the first time in a while and left feeling really disappointed, it's changed, and not for the better. I always order the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen (no meat, replace with egg, extra egg, add corn and cabbage). I was surprised to be told they no longer offer cabbage, which was one of my favorite additions. The eggs were also different. They used to be served whole, and I loved slicing into them to reveal that beautiful golden yolk. This time they arrived already sliced, and once the broth was added, the yolks started to cook. I was also given a side of arugula, which honestly has no place in a ramen bowl. It felt very out of place. There were also pickled carrots, which I ended up removing, not for me. The broth was noticeably greasier than before, which was another letdown. I immediately texted my best friend (the one who originally introduced me to this place) and she shared the same thoughts. She even mentioned telling her server, "Don't mess with a good thing," and that really sums it up. I'm truly sad to say this experience left me very disappointed, and I may have to start looking for a new ramen spot. WHHHHHHYYYYYYY

The restaurant itself is beautiful and can be a great date spot. I have also visited the bar a few times and had good experiences there. The bread basket was especially good. On another visit, I ordered what I believe was a breaded pork chop, but it was raw inside. The manager came over, apologized, and removed the dish from the bill, which showed strong customer service. A few years ago we were introduced to Pa'La by one such friend and, as of writing, we have now introduced 5 different friends to this location as well. As far as this specific dinner I think Pa'La does a really good job of having inventive food combinations usually in small plate form. I always really enjoy the ability to order 4 or 5 different things just to try something new. On this evening we started with the Beef Tartar, the Asian BBQ pork belly, and the Japanese sweet potato. All 3 were delicious and easily able to be shared between 3 people. We transitioned into ordering the prime New York Strip and the Maitake mushroom to share. The steak had a very nice pungent but sweet glaze on it that went very well with the marbling of the cut. Finally, we had the strawberry chamomile tart which was a great way to cap off the evening! All in all a very nice meal, in a nice setting where we could all catch up for a few hours. Never once did we feel rushed or similar and our server was always very attentive. All in all, this was a great experience and highlighted the reasons we keep coming back.

The place has an open layout, which makes cleanliness and organization very visible--unfortunately, things felt a bit disorganized at times. Tables were sticky when I arrived (though staff eventually wiped them down after I'd finished eating), and there was an odd, unpleasant odor coming from the floor drain near the soda machine. That said, the sushi quality was solid enough that I'd definitely return for the food. With a little attention to upkeep and organization, this spot could easily become a go-to for quick, tasty sushi. This was partially just because when we looked up the menu online, the ramen was several dollars cheaper than when we went in and that was kind of disappointing to find. I would have loved to go back to try more food there honestly if the prices were what they had been in the online photos I'd found. I tried the bulgogi ramen which was just more or less just not what I expected because the meat was very thickly cut and much more salty than traditional korean bulgogi - otherwise I would've loved this ramen. So many mushrooms and toppings galore. PLUS VEGAN RAMENS! SO MANY VEGAN OPTIONS!!! I just couldn't choose. Would definitely go back. Loved the outdoor patio for people and pup watching as well. No shortage of service out there either.

I have left a lot of reviews before but things have changed and I had to delete them and be more honest. So the ramen is poor quality, The only one that's kinda good is the spicy pork broth and it's 5/10 compared to other ramen. There is 10 other ramen shops within a 5 mile radius I'm not even kidding. I mean the meat is ok, they put bacon on a bunch of things, totally Americanized weird non authentic ramen. Wings are good. Calamari is good. But nothing here is good enough. It's a japanese noodle place but there's not a single bit of RICE in this entire restaurant. I wish they had rice bowls and crispy tuna rice and rice also makes sushi. They don't have any sushi or sushi adjacent things. I genuinely can't recommend them except for happy hour. I wouldn't go here for the normal priced hours because it's just not worth it. Arizona has such good ramen spots this place doesn't compare. Only people who don't eat ramen will think it's good the first time. I've heard people say they love the food. I even heard a white guy compare the TanTanMen to a meal he had in Japan. But people who are real foodies with high standards will be disappointed. I've brought friends who didn't want to pay and wanted their money back because the food was bad and they couldn't finish it. I feel so bad, so it's like I can't even recommend this place to anybody except for drinks. Me and my girls get drunk as hell here. They really need to look into other ramen shops and try the ramen and change their menu entirely and find a chef that can actually make ramen to make them more authentic. Jinya is 10/10 ramen Sosoba needs to restructure their flavors entirely. They need seasoning sauces like other ramen places too. They don't have fresh ground garlic, they just have hot sauces. If I redid the menu I'd revamp every noodle bowl. The broths are not good on the ramen they need to redo every single broth, there should be 3 meat ramens a vegan ramen and 3 noodle bowls that aren't ramen and one vegan noodle bowl that's not ramen. The vegan bowls they have now are flavorless with no salt or flavor. And people ask for salt with their food and no changes have been made still. It would be cool to sell an appetizer combo with wings, calamari, tofu. And another one with goyza, Bao buns, spring rolls like how chilis does. That would be interesting for summer. Bamboo is not listed on the items ingredients but it's in the food. And they added seaweed salad to the top of some items one day also not listed on the menu, Idk why but it didn't make anything better and made it worse. It used to be even cheaper than $9 a bowl but it's honestly never worth it, I hate the food here. My order is 8/10 tho! My order was always vegetarian sweet chili udon bowl with double tofu. The tofu is 10/10!!!!!!!!! Vegetarians can eat here but there's slight cross contamination. Tofu on everything. Get double tofu for happy hour. I've eaten the entire menu multiple times in 8 years... Food overall 4/10 The drinks are somewhat good, they don't do overly sweet, they're balanced drinks. The wells are good. $6 wells I think. They still don't have an espresso martini Tea and oranges is the best drink on the whole menu, they use vegan egg whites for the foam! Drinks overall 7.2/10 There's some weird employees who do not smile always in a bad mood. It's obvious who they are I'm not going to name them because they get complaints all the time. Some of them act un-phased, Unbothered, & not affected by customer complaints, they don't say sorry they just start doing Gen Z stare at any problem that comes their way. No customer service skills. I only want to be served by Bella, Briana, Nikki, and Jordan. One employee has told me some really bad stuff I think needs to be talked about asap. I forget the owner's name Tyler? Text me 480-340-5335 Because this is super serious what they've told me and what they're telling everybody else about your restaurant.
