Love it. Never had a problem. But I always go with Kim. She's very experienced and very nice. These ladies never have that trash talking tone in their voice when they start talking with each other like other nail salons and they are always smiling. I love the ladies that work there. I always find other customers chatting up with the workers as they are doing their job. Small but fun environment and a bit cheaper than other spots. I also want to add that their nails LAST A LONG TIME! i still have mine on after 1 month. it looks ridiculous with the big gap that needs to be filled. lol. but seriously, they dont crack or anything. read more

SERVICE: Gel fill I had very high hopes for this place after reading all the wonderful reviews. I usually go to a place in Campbell that I LOVE but since I work in Fremont I thought I would try this place out. Here are the reasons I only gave 3 stars... 1) I had Cindy and she was super nice and asked a lot of great questions about what I wanted. Once she started she explained that my nails would have to be a bit shorter than I wanted because 1 of them had broke and she wanted to make sure they were all the same length. I understood but still thought that was a bit strange since my usual place can always fix that. Once all the powder was on she began to smooth it all out with the drummel tool...while she was working near my cuticle she cut me pretty bad and I bled. She did put on their anti-fungal treatment over the cut. 2) Once she was done filing and told me to go wash my hands I checked out my nails (as we all do) and some were different lengths and not filed evenly. I used a colored powder tip this time (the bright orange/pink color) and it was sort of see-thru...I had white tips before and on some of my nails you could see the white thru the new color. This never happens with my usual place. 3) I went and sat back down so she could apply the gel top. This is where I am kinda picky. My fav kind of gel topper is the one where they use a small paint brush to apply it. It is usually kept in a jar and is very thick but lasts a lot longer. The gel they use is the one in a nail polish bottle that (in my experience) chips very easily. 4) After I was done and she was going over the price she mentioned that I had to pay an extra $3 just because they "cut them shorter". Ok I can't stand this add on!! It is absolutely ridiculous. I ended up paying $27 (5% off for paying cash) for a fill. Not a good price at all. I did tip her because it wasn't the worst experience I have ever had. Cindy was super nice and so were all the other ladies. The place is nice and clean as well. Because of all the rave about their pedi's I will go back for that service and update you. read more

* This was the worst salon experience I have ever had in terms of cleanliness. * The worst offense was when the gentleman who managed the salon sat down in a chair in the middle of the aisle near where I was getting my nails done and had one of the manicurists start to comb through his hair and pick out white things, inspect them then brush off onto the salon floor. It looked like she was picking out lice eggs but I can't claim that to be a fact - just my interpretation of what was happening.This went on for 20 minutes. * Overall the establishment was not well maintained or cleaned. If you look in quickly it is not that bad but after taking more time to look at the floors, cords/outlets, around the pedicure chairs, Nail lights, etc. the salon was pretty dirty. * The tools they were using on my nails were not pulled from a sanitized place and had obviously been used prior. *The salon itself would be fine with a really good deep clean but the actions of the people that work there was horrid. read more

I came into this salon because I usually go to Passion Salon, which was super busy that day. I also read the reviews so I decided to give Sparkle Nails a try. So I come in, and the man who works there was super friendly! I came in for a mani/pedi which is $26 for both, which was a good deal. However, the ladies that did my nails seemed like they were rushing, they did not clean my nails very well. The older lady who did my mani was nice at first; however, she was doing a horrible job on the application of the nail polish. She didn't paint my entire nails, forgot to paint the sides, and she painted over my cuticles on some nails and others she did not paint all the way to my cuticles. They just looked really messy that I wanted to take the polish and do it myself. I nicely tried to ask her to fix the mistakes, and she just kept painting another coat of nail polish- I ended up with 5 coats of nail polish on my nails- which can chip way more easily and it takes way longer to dry. So 2 other ladies came and tried to clean my nails as much as possible. Another negative about this salon is the quality of the products they use, the soap they use when you soak your hands was obviously some cheap soap from the dollar store, they did not have a huge selection of OPI or Essie, mostly cheap, non-brand nail polishes. Overall, it was an OKAY place. The staff was friendly, but that did not make up for the poor quality of my manicure and pedicure. I know this place is cheap and you can't expect much but ehhh when I come to get my nails done I always want to leave the nail salon feeling better about my nails not worse. I got a manicure from a random lady and she cut me in three different areas in my fingers. She kept apologizing, but what does that do when your fingers are burning from the alcohol. I should've walked out after the first cut, but I gave her a chance to redeem herself. Then she cut me two more times! She seemed very careless and in a rush for no reason! The place wasn't even busy! Not sure what her name is, but she was the tallest out of all the ladies. I went in on a Sunday morning to get a pedicure. I was recommended that this place was nice but it was really dirty, the floors were gross like they weren't swept or mopped in ages. Especially behind the pedicure chairs it was nasty, but that I didn't care about all of that until one of the ladies started to do my pedicure, I have slight ingrown nails and I like them cut a little bit. I don't have crazy ingrown nails it just happens from my shoes, but this lady started to cut my toe nails in the side and kept cutting until I started to bleed. I had to tell her stop three times until she let me toe go, I was traumatized. I can't believe she kept cutting after I told her to stop and I was bleeding. I didn't even know she didn't speak English until the lady next to her told her to stop. I'm not recommending this place to anyone my toe that she cut into is sore and hurts really bad still. read more

This is the only place I go to for nails anymore. They're very accommodating. Amy and Jenny pay close attention to detail. I've been coming here for about a year now and I don't go anywhere else to get my nails done. I live in Palo Alto and I make it a point to cross the bridge just to get my nails done. Amy is the best! She always makes time for me and does exactly what I want with my nails. I just show her a picture and she does it. She is so friendly and kind. I have been coming here for years. The lady's are all very nice and welcoming. If you are looking to treat yourself, I would recommend the deluxe mani & pedi. They are amazing. Not only do you get an excellent mani / pedi, you hands and feet are dipped in paraffin wax , then a clay mask, and topped off with a massage. You will leave there feeling super relaxed. 28 bucks for a quick last minute french tip gel coated nail job, fuck yeah I'm used to $70 dollar nail jobs, without tip and a two hour wait even with an appt. This hole in the wall place is empty, or has been both times I've came with a last minute manicure need. Ladies are nice, work fast and if you nag they pretty on point. They add "sparkles" to the acrylic which makes nails appear kinda bopperish, I went in and asked for one color. The nail technician advised me against this saying it made me look "old". Bitch I'm 24, I am young I want pink nails I don't care about appearing "old". Aside from their two cents not being my own, place is worth the 28 bucks, had two dollars left over for a coconut juice from the corner store. By far the best nail place in the area. I'm new to the whole nail thing, and I've been trying out a bunch of places to find one I'm comfortable with in the Fremont area, but this one blew me away! I don't plan on going anywhere else. They are super friendly. Thanh did the most beautiful design I could ever hope for! He is so talented and I could not be happier! I wasn't sure about what I wanted and they were all so helpful by showing me pictures to get ideas to pick out a design! Most importantly they are open late so I can go after work and not have to wait for the weekend to get it done. I had a wedding to attend on a saturday afternoon and was debating if i wanted to get my nails done. I'm a lazy person when it comes down to getting all done up. Hahaha. I always second guess myself. So I yelped some nail places and came upon their site. I read some reviews and some were AAaaa and some were YEAHsss. Plus it was closer to my house and I didn't want to drive so far away. I thought to myself "hey what the heck, I'll try them out." Arrived at 10am. Asked them how long will they wait be if i just wanted a manicure. They had about 4 clients and said about 15mins. Surprisingly, they are very friendly. This place is ran by family members. They talk and talk so you don't have to be so bored. I hardly hear my nailist talk Vietnamese to his fellow co-workers. Hahahah. You know when they talk their own language, they might be talking smack about your nails. Hahaha. j/k. Overall, I like them. I would go back and would recommend them to a friend. Oh yea! Just got back from getting a pedicure at Sparkle Nails...they are awesome! The owner (crystal) was super friendly, came by several times to make sure everything was okay, and all of the girls were super attentive. They gave me color advice and the girl who did my pedicure did a perfect job. I also got my eyebrows waxed, this time by Crystal. She did a fabulous job, and made sure I was happy after she was done. And for the service i received, their prices are a total bargain. It only cost me $29 for a french pedicure and my eyebrows.
