I went to this spectrum store, went in line with 1 customer being assisted and the other one who is ahead of me was left by the spectrum lady saying wait for me to be back. He waited for around 5 mins. and I will be the next in line. I did not sign in same as the the guy waiting in the counter. A spectrum guy came out from their office, called a name who signed in but that person was the last on the line. Some people who are in the line are saying that the machine to sign-in is not working. The spectrum guys did not care and just assist the peron who sign in. The person ahead of me waiting in the counter was left un attended. I left the store disappointed and some customers followed. This store has the worst customer service. read more

Jeaustin is a store specialist at the location on Carl Boyer Drive. I went in last night about 5:30pm to have someone help me with my mother's phone who has an iPhone SE. As I was signing in to be helped, Jeaustin approached us and said he could help us. I told him the problem we were having with my mom's phone. The home button was frozen or stuck. We couldn't access her phone. He then suggested we go to an Apple Store since it was a defect on the phone. at that point I just decided that we just needed to upgrade her phone. He helped us with the transaction. It was a bit difficult because again the fingerprint was needed, but he went above and beyond and did what he could and we did walk out with a new phone. I would like to Thank him. He stayed past his shift to help finish the transaction. This is definitely great customer service as I am in retail myself. read more

I had Att for a very long time. The prices were great but the internet was not so great when Covid hit. They had great customer service. Spectrum has no heart for it's customers. They won't adjust the bill won't offer military pricing they are just terrible when it comes to taking care of the people who keep them going. Their customers. So sad. read more

I had Time Warner both before and after the Spectrum changeover at three different residences. During that time, I experienced the WORST customer service. I had to REBOOT my cable modem anywhere from 4-6 times a month, but customer service told me there was nothing wrong with it. I had an outage one evening and called during a high volume period and selected the message to be called back within a few minutes... The call NEVER came. Instead, I had to call back and remain on hold for over 20 minutes to try to resolve the issue, which magically resolved before the customer service rep came on the phone. In addition, I have requested via phone, via website, via United States mail to be removed from their maling list, as I receive solicitation from them at least once every ten days. For three years I sent back and refused delivery on these mailings, now I am sending them back with a letter demanding to be removed from their lists... THREE MONTHS LATER-- still getting their garbage solicitation. I switched to DIRECT TV and have been nothing but happy. In the last three years I've had to REBOOT my cable modem no more than THREE TIMES. During periods of inclement weather, I've experienced SOME loss of quality in terms of internet speed or television picture-- but only twice, and then during very severe storms. DIRECT TV has been nothing but easy to deal with either via phone or their online chat system to resolve issues-- which were minor in nature, but on both occasions resulted in a minor credit to my account. Spectrum began their tenure (in California) by changing their name from Charter Communications, a company which had the WORST reputation in the United States regarding customer service. A reputation, that I sadly discovered was well-earned. The fact that they don't respect me enough to remove me from their spam mailing list should indicate that customers should avoid them like the plague. read more

Valencia office (Carl Boyer) has absolutely unacceptable lines almost around the entire store at 95 degrees due to only (one) 1 ! Employee for the entire store, which has 7 stations. Fixed retired income, had a $10.00 COLA raise per month. The Spectrum bill went up $14.00 a month. Something is wrong with this picture. Fortunately after a 2 hour wait at the store, I was able to be lucky enough to get JESUS. He worked with me on how to reduce my bill. He is a true 10 star employee. The worse! I came here to return an equipment because Spectrum has relentlessly sent me emails to return an equipment which I swapped for. There's only one person working the store today and he spends his time chatting away with each customer, spending at least 30 minutes with each customer. I was the third in line so I've waited close to an hour already just to return this router. If he would stop the chit-chat and streamline the transaction, I would've only waited 15 minutes tops. I am writing this because I am gravely concerned that Spectrum has increased its rates which affect everyone without regard to their financial ability; specifically rates for senior citizens who are on a fixed income. Moreover, to me, it seems Time Warner has quietly managed to secure a monopoly in Antelope Valley. The incurred prices for services have steadily increased, and no one, I mean no one, seems to give a damn, especially since we need services. Initially, I started out paying about $250.00 per month, and presently I am paying $374.51. Yes, I am a senior citizen, and I am inclined to think and believe I will soon be paying roughly $400.00 per month for Spectrum services. It is my understanding government entities are contracted with Spectrum, and, perhaps, it hardly matters whether the rates are increased or not, but when you consider that the citizens are paying for individual services, along with the taxes, it presents a problem that should be addressed. Spectrum has become a bloated conglomerate and is steadily increasing. It is not unheard of, nor a first time, that citizens have come together to combat a giant corporation. I cannot address how Spectrum rates have affected the entirety of California, but on Antelope Valley. I can only hope and pray one of California corporate law firms will see this and effect an investigation. read more

What a joke of a company. To get any kind of help with customer service, it's a minimum of a 30 minute wait AFTER they've connected you with a representative. If you cancel any time after your billing cycle (mine was 8 days after because I moved), they charge you the full monthly rate and refuse to prorate your service. On top of all of that, the connections are spotty and unreliable. If you're thinking of using spectrum for your internet service, I would highly suggest using another company. read more

After activating my new Internet, my router did not work right away so customer service said I can get a free new router at the local office, after seeing reviews, I was very skeptical, and did not want to go, but just beat the bullet, I went right at 10 AM when the store opened did not wait longer than 5 to 10 minutes and they exchanged it. No problem, since they didn't have the older Wi-Fi router, they upgraded me for free and we're very, polite and helpful, some of the old reviews are brutal but my experience was very awesome. All I can do is recommend off of my great experience. read more

Spectrum is the worst at customer service!! We had an awful experience! My 83 year old mother was out of the country and had missed a payment and her cable was disconnected. My brother made a payment for her so her cable would be back on when she retuned. When she returned from her trip her cable was disconnected. We had to call customer service and it was an awful experience!! They gave us the run around for 4 hours the day we called. Then they opened a new account for her without telling us! Luckily I was there to help her out Because I honestly think this is Elder ABUSE! We called the following day and they gave us the run around again for another two hours!!! So I took my fragile 83 old mother to the store trying to get someone to help her. Chris at spectrum looked up my mothers account and said the only way to solve this was to open an account under my name. Are you serious? Open up another account?? I refused and he said he couldn't help me. He said The only thing I could do was call customer service on my cell phone and ask for help. After already been on the phone with them for over 6 hours! I finally got someone to help us because I begged to get this resolved and explained my situation again. Luckily this lady was compassionate and helped us. She said she felt my voice cracking and new I was in deep help. She fixed it for us and connected my mothers account. She even told us that she was surprised chris at the store couldn't help us. He probably didn't help us because he wasn't going to earn commission on a new account. Spectrum is awful!!! If they will take advantage of an 83 year old fragile widow, I am pretty sure they can do it to anyone!!! Awful!!! Our experience was awful! Please find a better cable company!! This review is about the SCV store only. Went in to return equipment today. The female who helped me was not so friendly. She seemed like it was a bother that someone came in the store and was borderline rude. The male who greeted me as I was walking in and the male who assisted the female attempting to complete my return was fine. I definitely can see the poor reviews on here for customer service. You'd think management would address such an issue as a priority since their entire base is being a customer service oriented business. Update 11-10-19 After returning my voice equipment, the rude female I dealt with at the store charged me $9.99 for a "self-installation" charge. She said it was the only way for her to return the equipment. She also said she would credit me back the $9.99 for the erroneous fee. Guess what...I received my bill and yup, no credit was ever applied. After a 30 minute wait time on the phone, I got the credit applied. read more

My husband & I are retired & wanted to lower my bill ($334.55). I called Spectrum, the representative, with the shows we like, she was able to lower our rate by $30 & said it would be effective 6/30/22. When I went to watch HBO the next day, we were locked out from all premium stations! I had to call again; their policy is to stop your services & still take your Money! I asked if they were any senior rates were available & was told no. The representative finally restored only HBO, but it was like pulling teeth. Okay so I've been having an on going issue with the I ternet and the wifi. I was using the equipment they provided and it kept dropping service so then I bought a new modem a wifi router by netgear that didn't help. I've had a technicians come out every week all 7 of them gave me different excuses from blaming my equipment to wiring to the weather. I know for a fact it's not the equipment because I tested also it's brand new... Spectrum service has been a nightmare and I will be going elsewhere. Horrible interaction with the blonde who looks stressed out of her mind. I came in to add a second line to my account. I started this process over the phone and decided I would go to my local Spectrum to finish the process as my son couldn't wait a couple business days for his new device. This woman was questioning me about my service and telling me reasons why I wouldn't be able to obtain this second line without even looking into my account! I asked her to please just look into my account because I've already spoken to two representatives over the phone that have already given me the green light. She's staring at my account for two minutes before saying ... did you know your account is overdue by $29.99? GIRL BYE. I told her it's okay, I'll just handle this over the phone. I don't understand why people get customer service jobs and clearly don't like people. I just went home and finished the process over the phone. Her attitude was terrible. read more

Here's the thing about big corporate companies that treat their customers like cow fodder that pisses me off. Yesterday (friday) we woke up to no internet. No tv because Spectrum was not working. I went through the morning doing the unplug, restart that you do when the internet is not working on Spectrum. Long story, short...I finally call Spectrum and find out the internet is not working in our area. No explanation why not other than...they're working on it and should be back up by 4:30pm. Too late for us to deal with our business stuff we needed to do on the internet. As I leave to go to work, I drive by the new construction at Sand Cyn and Soledad Cyn and I realize..our internet is out because they're rerouting cables for all the new business and apartments at the corner 2 miles from our house. Spectrum knew this was on the calendar for their work schedule. Why didn't they take the time this was on the agenda and warn us customers/cow fodder and have us prepared for this? I'm sure they feel they don't have to. Why bother? Turns out the internet was turned on by 7:30pm...the whole day, no internet, tv, news. Added a Xumo box for my sister in law. Received the box and discovered there is no Bluetooth option installed. Roku and Firestick have this. I would have not ordered the box had I known but never thought this would be an issue. Live and learn. Trying to complain to Spectrum is a joke. read more
