So thru a little research I found Specialized Auto Care. Their reviews here on Yelp, and Google were both 5 stars. So we decided this is where we will have my Moms 06 PT Cruiser serviced. It was running rough, and the check engine light was flashing. So we dropped it off with the request of whatever it is, fix it please. (This shop is ran only by 2 men. We were advised upfront that repairs, and or diagnostics can be slightly delayed compared to other shops with more employees. That's totally fine with me, as long they are honest, and do excellent work.) After I think a day, and a half after dropping it off, we were called with the prognosis.... They initially claimed it needed a "valve job". Long story short, the motor had to be taken apart, and certain parts would be sent to a "machine shop" as they dont do that in house. Anyway they said the repairs will be approximately $2,500.00, and will be completed in a weeks time. We said fine let's get it done. After 8 days we got the car back. And upon driving it home , IT HAD THE SAME FUCKING SYMPTOMS STILL!!!!! Its still running rough and the check engine light has come back on! We just paid this place two thousand five hundred dollars!!! Are you kidding me!!! This review is not finished yet, as we are still trying to get this mechanic to fix what is wrong with the car without any additional charges. We went back today, and were told that the owner/mechanic is out with the flu. To be continued...... And also, during the time my Moms car was in this shop being serviced, my sister had a problem with squealing brakes in her Chevy Suburban. She brought it to them, and they quoted her $400.00 to fix the problem. Luckily she decided to get a 2nd opinion. She went to Brake Masters, and low and behold, they fixed it FOR FREE!! Can you believe that! Brake Masters told her that there were some little clips that her husband forgot to install in the pads when he recently changed them at home. Once again it was free of charge. Whereas Specialized Auto quoted a whopping $400.00!!! This mechanic is NOT HONEST! They scammed my elderly parents out of $2500.00 !! And now they are refusing to fix whatever is still wrong with the car without us paying MORE MONEY! The moral of this story is please please get a second opinion! Hell get a 3rd opinion! DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID, AND GO SOLELY OFF THE GOOD REVIEWS YOU SEE ONLINE!

He even gave a discount since I am retired and it was my first time there. So far so good. Also kudos to the technician Rich. He answered questions. I had also noticed a piece hanging that needed tightened from going through the car wash . He replaced screw no problem. I I will go back. These guys are the best. Great job so far and great service. I am giving this shop 2 stars because my experience repeatedly came down to incomplete diagnostics,…read moredespite being charged diagnostic fees each time. It cost me a lot of money, time off work that did not need to happen. The first issue involved the A/C system on my Ford F-350. I paid for a full diagnostic and authorized the repair based on their findings. Unfortunately, the A/C failed again shortly afterward and I had to bring the truck back for the same problem. The mechanic apologized and explained that once they found the first issue, they stopped looking for any additional causes that could have contributed to the failure. They repaired it a second time, but I was charged another diagnostic fee for the same issue, although at half the normal rate. In my opinion, if I paid for a diagnostic the first time, I should not have been paying again because the original diagnosis was incomplete. The additional cost was more than just money. Every visit meant taking time off work, dropping off the truck, arranging rides to and from work, and disrupting my schedule. I ended up going through that process twice for the same repair. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of returning for a separate steering wobble issue. I already knew I had a worn ball joint and an aging steering box, and I specifically asked them to inspect my wheel spacers as part of the diagnosis. The mechanic later apologized for forgetting to inspect the wheel spacers but was confident the issue was the ball joint or steering box. Since the ball joint was clearly worn, I agreed to start there. After spending thousands of dollars and waiting several days for the repair, I got the truck back with the exact same steering problem. That evening, I crawled underneath the truck myself and immediately found the actual issue: the bolts on the track bar mounting bracket were loose. Several were only finger-tight, and one bolt was nearly halfway out and close to falling out entirely. After tightening the hardware properly, the steering wobble disappeared. This was especially concerning because these bolts are part of a critical steering component, and the vehicle had been brought in specifically to diagnose a steering wobble. Instead of performing a complete inspection, it felt like the diagnosis stopped at the first obvious issue that was found. In the end, I spent thousands of dollars on repairs that did not solve the problem, lost multiple workdays, and had to arrange transportation repeatedly when a more thorough diagnosis from the beginning could have prevented most of it. I am not in a financial position to throw money at problems hoping it will fix it. The staff and mechanics were polite and professional during my interactions, which is why this is not a one-star review. However, based on my experience, customers should be aware that a diagnostic here may not be as comprehensive as they expect, even when paying diagnostic fees.

I made an appointment using their online scheduling at their website. I then verified the appointment by calling a couple of days prior and it was in the system. I arrived several minutes prior to my appointment. Customer service was great. Everything explained. They offer a "17 Point" inspection service with an oil change. They noticed a headlight bulb needed to be replaced. I'm glad they noticed it! The bulb replacement service was reasonably priced IMO, so I authorized the work. The bulb was replaced at that time of service. There is a reward points app available. They send out emails and/or print receipts at request. I'm very pleased with the service here. They are added to my Yelp Automotive "Favorites" list, and I've recommended them to friends.

For major repairs and brakes, Your Auto Service has worked on our vehicles for a few years. Our Kia needed brakes, Cal & his mechanics @ Your Auto did a great job and there have been no issues since! Our son has driven the Kia across country, twice, and the brakes are still amazing!! Again, our aging truck recently needed brakes and shocks, Cal worked with us on the costs & the trucks been running great since the repairs were done!! Feels like new!!
