Spice has the best Thai fried rice around. So much flavor and plenty of Thai basil (my fav)! We also got the TOM KHA KAI hot pot to share. PERFECT soup for a cold night full of chicken, mushrooms, cilantro and yummy spices. I don't recommend their cocktails - stick to Sapporro beer for drinking. Cute, cozy restaurant in Forth Worth. The place was pretty packed on a Thursday night, but we got a table quickly. Ordered the crab rangoon, three flavored snapper, Bangkok egg noddles with red curry, and crispy kao soi. All items were flavorful and even though the dishes were pricier than at other Thai restaurants, the portion sizes were huge. Got a level three for the Bangkok egg noodles and the spice level was just right. The Crispy kao soi had a nice crunch to it with the crispy noodles on top. I would give a five star, but parking is lousy in these parts. Nothing to do with this restaurant or anything they can control, but a factor overall. I can not imagine more fresh and delicious food. I know little about Thai cuisine, but this is the finest I have had. Old building brought forward to meet today's needs. They have a front and rear entrance, with the rear opening to a common patio. Bricks and wood with touches of modern refurbishing meet a simple cement floor. The wait staff are hard working and mine came with a thick Asian accent, lending to an atmosphere of authenticity. Water was kept full and they took away all dirty dishes. I was served a tiny salad with lemon dressing and a spring roll and peanut sauce. Portions were perfect and it was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Tom Kha coconut soup with chicken. Simply fantastic. Fresh lime flavors met lemongrass and cilantro, with a touch of spicy heat calmed down by the coconut milk. Highly recommended. For the main course I had the Hot pepper vegetable stir fry with pork and brown rice. The onions and jalapeños commanded a sharp but necessary level of heat. The red bell peppers were crisp and fresh. The sauce was subtle with a nice salty flavor. It was fantastic, leaving me wanting more. Everything was perfect, with the parking being the only drawback. Great relaxing atmosphere inside the restaurant. I went during lunchtime and so ordered one of the lunch specials: the L13- Bangkok BBQ Pork entree, which came with a choice of spring or egg roll, and a house salad with your choice of dressing. I enjoyed the portion size of the appetizers and entree; everything was tasty and to my satisfaction. I take away 1 star for two reasons: 1) the Mai Tai drink I had was a little too strong for me. 2) there wasn't anything chocolate based on the dessert menu . The food was good they did their thing with the dish i had and my wife enjoyed her food as well. I don't know something was just missing from my experience. We arrived at 11:00 am just when they opened. Our party of 5 all arrived by 11:10. We placed our orders and had conversation. Our salads and drinks came out and everything was fine. Then the entrees came. Everyone got their entree but me. This was around 11:30. Everyone had eaten and we were waiting for the check when my entree came out at 12:05pm. 55 minutes after I placed my order. Not acceptable. I asked for it to-go. I am now eating a Luke warm, brick like, Pad Thai on my desk at work. They did not try to fix or compensate for the huge inconvenience. They charged me full price. Not going back. read more

Wonderful lunch menu affordable and pleasant rapid courses. All are good, I have been there about once a month for years as a favorite lunch spot. Also has a patio out back and a puppy yard. Major meals are full plates at mealtimes, and the extras like salad with the lemon dressing is great. Spring rolls are crunchy veggies, egg rolls are crunchy fried. Favorites are any of the curries, I swap between the Massaman and the Panang as favorites, option of brown or white rice. Pleasant staff, accommodating and keep tea and water(or hot water) filled as well as helping each other through the seating as possible for meal flow. Always try this one, and don't skip trying one or another menu choices you'll surely like. Being related to a couple other Thai restaurants in FW, this lets them present a bit differently at each. Arguably the best tasting Thai food in Fort Worth. The location is easy to reach by car. The parking is a bit iffy, but not impossible. The way they have blocked off the back door (which used to be easy to get to from the parking lot) is mildly annoying, as you will have to walk all the way back out to the street to get into the front of the restaurant, and that door is NOT easy to open. The restaurant is small with worn out tables and chairs. There is no baffling or dampening to cut down on the echo from voices inside. And yes, they do have booze/alcohol. The service however is abysmal, the waitstaff is divided into order takers and delivery staff: one person seats you, another takes your order, another person delivers your meal, and if you are lucky another person brings the payment device. Since "nobody" waited on you, no one expects a tip; therefore no one cares what happens to you or your order. If you ask for a napkin, the person turns and stomps away. Never mind that you also wanted to ask for a drink, too bad, they are already gone. Same for the salt or the soy sauce or siracha, ask for one thing and off they stomp. As long as you don't care, they won't either! P.S. By the way, I once called in an order over the phone and it was ready to pickup less than ten minutes later. Wow! read more

I stopped in this evening with my husband and another couple. They suggested we try Spice, as they have been wanting to go for awhile now. We walked in a little after 615 on a Sunday and we're sat right away. The interior is small, but offers enough seating that you aren't sitting on top of one another. The menu is quite large and offered many Thai dishes. This was actually my first time at a Thai restaurant, so I stuck with the only menu item I had tried before, pad kra prow. I asked for ground pork in place of the ground chicken and made as a 3, in terms of spice. My hubby and I shared an appetizer of crab Rangoon to start. The food was excellent. The spice was on point and I was appreciative of the attentiveness of the staff to continually fill up my water. I felt like I ate a lot of my meal, but when I got home and packed my leftovers for lunch, I somehow have two lunches worth leftover. For $11, I definitely got good bang for my buck. If you are in the area, stop by. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place was just ok for a Togo order. The portion was VEEY SMALL and usually with orange chicken most places give enough for two people. It was somewhat pricey for the portion and it didn't even taste that great tbh. I hear people talking about how popular this spot is, but for me I do not understand the hype. I'm so disappointed to be writing this review. I've been waiting months to finally try Spice as I've always loved its sister restaurant thalicious. We arrived right before 8pm excited to enjoy a nice night out on the patio. It first took about 5 minutes for anyone to greet us as the staff was huddled around the TV. We finally got someone's attention and asked if we can eat outside. We were forcefully told outside is closed and no one is out there so we took a table inside. Silverware was thrown on the table and our server looked very annoyed to be waiting our table. We asked what time they closed and he said 9:30 since we were so startled by his poor attitude we thought it must be because we came in at the last minute (ps they close at 10, not 9:30 like he said). We quickly ordered as the waiter kept trying to walk away before we were done even telling him what we wanted. That was beyond annoying in itself so we told the waiter to just change our order to go. We decided to walk to the back to see what the nice patio was like for the future and it was PACKED when we turned the corner! Most tables were full and the whole wait staff was outside serving happy customers. I walked back in from the patio to see if there was a misunderstanding when I asked for outside seating. The same rude server/manager was on his cell in the back and heard me ask the younger waiter if we can sit outside. He then proceeded to yell at me in front of my guests that I convinced to come here saying they will not serve us outside and the patio is closed. I'm currently writing this on that same busy patio so upset about my experience waiting for my to go order. I hope the food is as good as people say and I'm sorry to the owners for their employee's lack of care for turning a Thai lover away. read more

Words that come to mind when I think of my experiences at SPICE (besides the obvious) -- tasty, clean, intimate, peanut sauce, good portions, flavorful, parking, Magnolia, Thai. I always enjoy my food at Spice of Magnolia. I've ordered the Tom Kha Gai, Pad Thai (chicken & tofu), the red curry (chicken) and the Drunken Noodles (tofu substituted for chicken). My least favorite of those items was the Drunken Noodles and probably because I should've stuck with chicken instead of going tofu - still ate it all though. :) The Tom Kai soup is pretty amazing. The lunch entrees come with choice of a salad and a fresh spring roll or Thai crispy roll. I always get the salad and fresh spring roll (vegetarian) and I ALWAYS get them both with that amazing peanut sauce they have. The spring roll has lettuce, vermicelli, cilantro, carrots, bean sprouts and scallions. If you're going for lunch, be sure to get there before 11:45 a.m. Aim to arrive before noon. Once the lunch rush hits it can be packed, and there's not much waiting space so if it's a large group of you you'll either be outside or packed standing by the front door like minions. Spice also has a lunch menu with items served between 11am and 2:30pm. Other than catching that window of "standing only", Spice is great. While there are still a couple other tasty Thai options in FW (I only know of like two personally), if you're on or near Magnolia and need Thai in your life, this is your spot. read more

We went there for dinner as the reviews were good. The food was really good but the service was probably the worst we had experienced. Everyone was kind but I don't think our waiter spoke English and it took a long, long (20-30 minutes) for our first cocktails. My husband never received his. We got our appetizers and main course within minutes. I ordered the drunken noodle with beef and it was delicious. The couple with us ordered pad Thai and masaman. One of my favorite lunch spots during the week! Affordable lunch specials. $9.99 come with entree, salad, egg roll or spring roll. I get the pangang curry dish with tofu and white rice! It's so good!!! You have to try this dish. I always order a 1 or 2 spice level because 3 is more spicy than medium should be. Egg rolls are good. Salad is small but just enough. This place has been my favorite Thai spot for years, but I had a lovely customer service last time I was in. I ordered a large pickup order on DoorDash to be picked up several hours later that day. I got a notification shortly after I ordered that it was already ready. I called to let them know I couldn't be there to get it until 3, but we had a bad phone connection and I wasn't sure if they heard me or not. I rolled the dice and just showed up at 3, and they informed me that they had just made everything over fresh for me moments before I arrived. They were very friendly and not annoyed about the timing miscommunication and also mentioned that prices for ordering pickup are cheaper on ChowNow. The food also traveled well, as it had a 2 hour journey before it got the the family gathering, and was still delicious (just pop the crispy stuff in the air fryer). Thanks Spice! read more
