As a chef, I'm pretty particular about food, and Spice Garden genuinely impressed me. The chicken tikka masala had a rich, well-balanced sauce with plenty of depth, the chicken was tender, and the basmati rice was light and properly cooked. The garlic naan had great char, a soft interior, and was perfect for soaking up the sauce. Generous portions, bold flavors, and clearly made with care. Easy five stars--I'll definitely be back.

Ordered takeout for lunch, they have a few options for lunch specials as well as the regular menu available. We loved how flavorful and tasty everything was - even without added spice there was a tiny bit of an after bite. The garlic naan was amazing too

I totally enjoy this local Indian restaurant that serves a variety of Indian cuisines! The servers are genuinely nice and helpful regarding my partners' serious food allergies & have gone out of their way to check with the chef re ingredients. Good service & homemade food make a meal even better & the experience of eating here is relaxing, unhurried! We like the background music & the modern interior. The 2 women who seem to always be working are super! We've taken friends and family & never had a bad meal. Tandoori chicken, or shrimp are both very good. I've had the Rogan Josh, the Tikka Masala, the Butter Chicken, the roti with butter, dal, saag, naan, cocktails (nicely shaken and good quality), beer, samosas, dum biriyani (oh my!), raita and recently I had the forearm-sized, fermented crispy crepe like Masala Dosa! Wow. I had their takeout, but because of the nice sit down service, we normally dine in. The spice levels are customizable on most items & a 7 or 8 has got some zip to it, without being overwhelming. Today they offered 2 lunch specials plus their normal menu. For $12.99 you get rice and your choice of curry type dishes & naan. The other is $15.99 and has many things to choose from - quite a great way to try a variety of smaller portions of menu items. If you like Indian food, find this family, couple-friendly, alt culture friendly local restaurant among the many chains near the AZ Pavillions in Marana. Down at the end near where Bostons used to be, but before you get to Harkins Theaters.

Anyone for Indian food? Spice garden promises a kick to your taste buds! We had the lunch menu and it was great. Not too spicy for our taste buds but just right. Service was fast, and the sitting area was adequate for a few tables.

I had not been here in years and the food is just as good as before. This time we got chicken korma and lamb tikka masala and a mango lassi drink. Everything was so rich and flavorful and the meat is fall apart tender, no knives needed. The lunch menu is served daily, but it didn't have anything on it that we wanted. The portion sizes have gotten even smaller and the price has gone up. A person with a big appetite will need to add an appetizer or other sides besides rice. Service was great and I liked the music they had playing.

My friends and myself enjoying ourselves and the entrees and appetizers!

Food was so flavorful!! I had medium spice lamb Tikka masala . The heat was perfect and lamb so tender. Friends had Chicken curry and Chicken Saag they really loved. We shared vegetable pakora and Peshwari naan, so much great food enjoyed! The service was excellent and thoughtful. A really nice vibe I will definitely revisit.

I met my friend for lunch today and as always, the food was delicious, authentic, and cooked to perfection. Service was friendly, but slow today. I noticed a sign on the door that they were hiring. The decor is playing and the establishment is clean.

Initially we were heading towards pizza when we smelled the tempting scents from the spice garden. We changed our plans and were glad we did. The restruant is in a large space but has limited table space. We were able to get a table. The sign said they were short staffed but we taken care of. Our water was kept full and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. We have the chef's special chicken and the eggplant. They came with rice and we shared a garlic naan. The flavors were nicely mixed. There was a lot of chicken. We ordered the spice level at a 3. We could have gone a little gotten with the eggplant but the chicken was perfect for my palate. My husband would have liked both hotter. The service was good. The staff was polite and friendly. Pay with cash and avoid the credit card processing fee.

Lamb biryani, butter chicken, garlic naan, and raita.

The flavors were excellent and true to desi cuisine, and the pricing felt fair. We ordered everything at a 4 out of 10 spice level, which was just right for both my husband and me. It had a satisfying kick without making us sweat. The mango lassi was the highlight. The cardamom added a beautiful layer of flavor, and they didn't dilute the yogurt or rely on overly sweet mango juice. Presentation was lovely. Even though it was listed under desserts, we enjoyed sipping it alongside our meal. The lamb biryani was rich and aromatic. We wished there had been more meat, especially with the $4 upcharge, but what was included was tender and well-seasoned. The butter chicken was generous and full of flavor. It came with more meat than the biryani, and the garlic naan and raita paired perfectly with it. The chai was enjoyable but could have been better. We would have preferred it presweetened. Some sips had a slightly bitter edge, possibly from overbrewing. The ambiance was beautiful and thoughtfully designed. A bit of background music would have added warmth and energy to the space. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Despite a few small critiques, we left feeling very happy with our meal.

We almost did not go to this restaurant because they did not have a lunch buffet. But the reviews were so good and when I called, I was told that they had lunch specials. We had the most incredible naan bread I've ever experienced. Their bread was light, flavorful, crispy, and buttery. My husband and I ate the entire basket. The meal is served Thaali style (served on a platter with individual bowls) we were able to select two meets, two vegetables and the type of naan bread (we had garlic)and dessert. It was plenty of food and we ate everything. Our waitress was excellent and had the cutest little baby boy I've ever seen. She showed us a picture of him when we asked, She was thoughtful, conscientious, and well-versed about the food in the restaurant. We will definitely go back when we're in Tucson again.

Good food and the only place in Tucson to serve some South Indian food. No frills space and reasonably priced menu.

The chicken skewers were tender, the beef koobideh had great flavor and the saffron rice, pickled vegetables and grilled tomatoes tied everything together. We chose the dolmehs (x6, I ate one before taking the photo) and the two baklavas with our family meal and both were delicious. The owner is also the chef and he truly puts his heart into this restaurant. Every time we have gone, whether it is just us or when we bring family and guests, he always makes a point to say hello, visit our table and make us feel welcome. It adds so much charm to this delicious spot. They also have a huge selection of Ready Meals made in house by the owner. The flavors are fresh and feel like home cooked food made from the heart. It is an amazing option for meal prep because nothing feels repetitive. Prices are competitive with meal prep services and the portions have plenty of protein. The menu has Middle Eastern, Thai, Mediterranean and Desi flavors and everything tastes thoughtful and fresh. It truly is a gem and a place we will be returning to.

I knew the drinks cost extra, but the reverse osmosis water was included. I also knew to get a new plate when I went back for seconds. I also knew there was a koi pond and aviary on the property. My mom and I were on a girls trip and we enjoy eating healthfully whenever we can. That's not to say we don't also love desserts! We heard this place was vegetarian and were intrigued. Walking in from the parking lot, we were struck at how beautiful the whole temple/grounds were. Beautiful art/water features and statues. The food changes daily, I believe, but on our visit there was a salad bar (with spinach and lettuce options, shredded carrot, cucumber, two kinds of sprouts, chickpeas, grape tomatoes, and zucchini- also don't miss the delicious dressings! I got seconds on salad so I could try multiple dressings!). There was also brown rice and yellow rice options, steamed veggies and curry veggies, coconut chutney, chowmein, and vegan pizza. Oh and rice pudding and halva. Everything was simple and delicious. They have signs on the table about the food being prepared with the utmost cleanliness and love and I believe it. We sat inside (even though the courtyard was beautiful, it was still a bit sunny). Inside they were playing pan flute music and there was the gentle gurgle of a water feature and large crystals lining the wall. Heck yeah! After dinner we wandered around the grounds, admiring everything. I particularly enjoyed seeing Sufi the white turkey, and the peacocks, the pheasants, and the parrots! They were all adorable and seemed happy. The koi pond was also very zen and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this spot with the caveat that it's not for everyone- you have to go in with the knowledge you're eating simply, and all vegetarian, and you're entering a space where others live and worship. For the price, this was a great bargain. I'd love to visit again one day!
