    Garlic Spinach & Bhuna Goat
    Don K.

The Spice Symphony in Times Square was outstanding. Figured this location would be an equal. Not so. I dined alone and ordered the goat with sides of garlic naan and creamed spinach. While I waited, I admired the decor and cleanliness of the restaurant. The staff was professional and attentive but not hovering. A Cabernet pour was not overpriced and would've complemented the entree had I been able to chew it. The goat was hard and chewy. Not just a couple of pieces but well over half of the dish. The spinach was puréed- with little texture. Creamed to the extreme. The server promptly summoned the manager and he quickly offered half off the meal and a complimentary dessert. He apologized and went back to the kitchen presumably to talk with the kitchen staff. I would go back and likely order the butter chicken.

This was our first visit to this Spice Symphony location, though we've tried the other two and already trust their food. As expected, the space is clean, the ambiance is pleasant, and the flavors stay close to what you'd find in India. They started us off with a complimentary mini Aloo Chaat -- a small portion, but really tasty with the sweet and spicy chutney. A nice touch. We tried their Indo-Chinese dishes for the first time: Manchow Soup and Triple Szechwan Noodles. Both were decent and gave that familiar Indo-Chinese feel but nothing extraordinary. Also, even though we asked for mild spice, the noodles came out much spicier than expected -- so it's worth being very firm about your spice level when ordering. For mains, we went with Masalewali Bhindi, Kadai Paneer, and Yellow Tadka Dal (which comes with rice). All three were flavorful and well-made. Our mix of breads -- butter roti, plain roti, and chilli garlic naan -- were perfectly cooked. Service was top-notch, and like every Spice Symphony location, the overall experience was consistent. A dependable spot we enjoy returning to -- you really can't go wrong here.

The food is pretty good here, we ordered a mango lassi, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh and garlic naan! Mango lassi was more yogurt than mango tasting and a bit tangy which i wasn't a fan but my friend was. Chicken biryani was very flavorful, the chicken tikka masala was good and had a nice tomato taste, a little similar to the lamb rogan josh but this dish was my fave. The lamb was so tender and the curry had a nice kick to it so definitely recommend!! Garlic naan is a must have for the table and theirs is a little crispier than it is doughy.

Came here to try and introduce my coworkers to the magic of Indo-Chinese food. I particularly wanted to share what some of my favorite food to eat growing up in Mumbai was- chili paneer and Gobi Manchurian. Good news- the food here rocks and my coworkers loved it! I ordered family style for the group and everyone got to try gobi Manchurian, chili paneer, chaat, bhel, and then I got two familiar mains in the biryani and tikka masala. Everything was great and tasty. I usually like a more red/orange colored gobi Manchurian whereas this one was definitely more dark brown- indicating less chili. It had more of a mild spice with a sweet and sour taste, but it was still delicious due to the perfect crunchy texture. The paneer was perfect and dense and bitey, and the rest of the dishes were all exactly as you'd expect (creamy tikka masala, spicy biryani, etc). Vibe wise, the space is small but has a good amount of seating. Table cloth and settings are all very nice and feel more on the fancy side. This feeling emphasized by the wine and cocktail menu. There is a big mirror on the wall inside which makes the place feel a lot bigger than it is. When we came in there weren't a lot of other tables seated, so service was super fast. The mains did take longer to arrive than we expected, but perhaps that's just because we ordered so many appetizers. Overall, this is a great spot to get delicious indo-Chinese or just Indian food as well as drinks. Come with a group and order family style!

Spice Symphony is a great name for this spot - delicious, spiced Indian cuisine in a very harmonic atmosphere that makes for a great dinner out. The quality and flavors here really stand out in the NYC Indian scene. Even more impressive was their quality vegan and vegetarian menus (separate mind you!), which used ingredients that I normally don't find at a lot of Indian restaurants. I started off with their Gobi Manchurian, a classic Indo-Chinese dish and these did not disappoint. Baked cauliflower doused in a tangy sweet-sour sauce while still being mostly crispy is a huge win. For my main, I had their Soya Kheema Mutter ($20) and it was absolutely divine. The creamy tomato base had amazing spices and the ground soya pieces were a wonderful touch to add plant-based protein into my meal. Order it spicy because it was just what I needed. I enjoyed these with a side of roti. The service here was great and they continued to check in on us throughout the night. We closed out the restaurant yet did not feel rushed or pushed to leave, which we appreciated (and of course we left soon after closing). Very impressed with our experience and would be happy to return one day.

Been there to this place on Saturday evening. It was not very crowded and we were easily seated. Food is good but portions are very less and it's pricey . Ambience is dark and gloomy and music was not going with the decor. They could have better lighting and increase the portion size. Taste of food was good

Food was a mixture of okay and very good. We started off with the New Delhi chaat, which was alright but I've had better elsewhere. The chutney sampler was also just okay, would skip. However their Tandoori chicken and lamb chops were both really tender and flavorful, not dry at all. Service is also great; staff were really friendly and attentive.

Restaurant is beautiful and great decor for date night vibes. Service 5/5. They gave us free appetizer kebabs to try. The servers were attentive to the minor details and served water frequently. The food was disappointing Chinese bhel: 1/5. Super sour and spicy. The papad made it edible but absolutely disgusting Vegetable Manchurian: 2/5. No taste whatsoever and bland Hakka noodles: 2/5. Vegetables even lost taste The saving grace for this restaurant was its service but would not return due to disappointing food for south Asians

Nice place with good ambient lights. Service was good and quick and servers made it easy to order. Overall food was decent but nothing special like Rasoi in Jersey City.

However, we never really got to it, having been busy exploring the Semmas and Bungalows of the city. On a cold Saturday evening my partner and I decided to give Indian Accent a shot - got rather last minute reservations over the phone. They were kind enough to accommodate us for a 7 pm slot, and once we got there we were seated immediately. We chose the four course menu, and found each course to be better than the one before! The shorba (soup) and garlic kulcha amuse bouche was a nice touch to get things started - loved the tiny terracotta mugs. Proceeded onto the shakarkandi chaat and the chilly pork roti - the former reminding me of the delectable street food in Delhi winters with the latter being a very good Indian rif on birria tacos. The star of the show for me was the Tofu medu vada - so unique and flavorful and melt in the mouth! I've not had anything quite like it before. My partner had the wagyu kebab that he said was excellent! For mains we had the chicken malai and the paneer - both tasty, but by this point we were already so full, and had to get most of the mains to go. But because there's always room for dessert, for our final course we scarfed down doda barfi with ice-cream and sticky toffee banana pudding - both of which were finger licking delish! Our service was great too - Ty our server was so nice and had the best recommendations. I'd have never gone for the tofu medu vada among all the other options and he urged me to, and it really turned out to be the highlight of my meal. The cocktails were good too. All in all, I think this is such a nice upscale Indian dining spot for a night out in the city. Having tried most of the other trending newer spots, i think Indian Accent sits right among the top! I'd highly recommend and cannot wait to be back!

So Annapurna Bhavan had my curiosity before I even walked in. The ambience was good. They don't take reservations, but we were seated as soon as we walked in. Sadly, the food didn't quite deliver. THE GOOD The dosas were well-made and honestly the highlight of the meal. Crispy, properly thin, no complaints there. THE NOT-SO-GOOD Ordered a Rose Milk. Got a rose lassi. These are two completely different things -- rose milk is a light, chilled milk drink; lassi is a yogurt-based beverage. Not a small mix-up if you know South Indian cuisine. The dahi vada was a letdown. It hadn't been soaked in yogurt nearly long enough -- the vadas were still firm, which defeats the whole purpose of the dish. Authentic dahi vada should be pillowy soft. A lot of the menu leans heavily Americanized. The oothappam topped with cheese and jalapeño is a prime example -- it's more Tex-Mex than Tamil Nadu. Fusion is fine, but don't call it traditional. BOTTOM LINE If you're in the neighborhood and craving something South Indian-adjacent, it's convenient and the dosas will do the job. But if you're someone who grew up eating this food and wants the real thing -- you'll probably leave a little disappointed. The location is great; the authenticity needs work.

She's the kind of host who remembers how you like your chai and makes the whole room feel like her living room. Now, the food. The Chana Masala is deeply spiced, rich with tomato and chickpeas, the kind of dish that makes you question every mediocre version you've had before. The Saag is silky, fragrant, and genuinely soulful -- spinach that actually tastes like something. And the Onion Kulcha?
