Formerly Tasty-to-Go, the cafe has gone through a major revamp! They no longer have the pre-made food under heat lamps (which was good); they've exchanged it for made-to-order dishes from a more diverse menu (which is even better!). The place gets swarmed with high schoolers from time-to-time, so try to avoid going there when school lets out. I don't know if they have happy hour anymore for drinks (sad trombone noise) :( but they still have stamp cards. read more

Had this spot bookmarked since it opened up because I love my tea spots. Been wanting to drop by after work because I work at the Santa Anita Mall but always end up going straight home without realizing. Today I finally met up with a friend and tried this place out! I ordered the 'Green Milk Tea & the Taro Milk Tea(with boba). When I went to pick up the drinks I was surprised that the taro drink was not purple! Trying both of them, I could see why the place has lower ratings. The taro drink tasted nothing like taro and was not sweet at all. The green milk tea did not taste like tea or milk, and it was super watered down with no sweetness whatsoever. I guess it's decently priced as each drink was $3.50 and +$0.50 for toppings. They do have a 'Happy hour' Monday-Fridays from 3:00pm-5:00 where certain drinks are $1 OFF. So that's always a plus! Sadly this is a CASH ONLY place. But they do have stamp cards so feel free to ask for one. The place was interesting designed. Theres tables with sofas as well as a circular sofa seat in the center of the store. When I came in around 9, there was only one table occupied so we did not have to wait at all. I believe they have board games, but I'm not entirely sure as I only saw playing cards near the counter. It's honestly been so long since I've actually sat down at this spot. The last time I was here was in high school and the place was still called Tasty to Go. Boy, the place looks exactly the same with a few minor adjustments like how their fast food chinese take out is actually made to order now which is a plus! This location is a family owned business and the drinks in my opinion are always up to par. My go-to has to be their honey green tea. I sometimes get lychee jelly or boba with it and it always hits the spot. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to actually try the new food but everything I've seen come out of the kitchen actually looks really good and smells great! There's plenty of parking but a majority of people shop at 99cent store, so it gets packed super fast. You'll be fighting with old people for parking, just a heads up. Their boba milk tea is DELICIOUS, MOUTH WATERING & AMAZING! This was my go to place for boba whenever I was craving it. I always get it after I finish eating the Guilin noodles place that's in the same plaza. Their boba is always so warm, hot & fresh. They only have one size for drinks by the way. So the bottom where the boba is, is warm, while the milk tea part is super cold. Drinking both together is so perfect; the first sip is always the best part. I've always been so scared to try any other drink because I just love their milk tea too much. Their shaved snow is delicious as well. I prefer shaved snow over shaved ice because of the texture and of course how it looks. I definitely recommend this if you're craving for something sweet and want dessert after dinner. Shaved snow - 4 stars, atmosphere - 2 stars. We ordered the green tea flavored shaved snow with mochi, red beans, and boba. Texture was melt in your mouth, perfect and excellent green tea flavor sweetened by condensed milk. Could do with a bit more of the toppings though. Although the snow was delicious, it was an awkward place. First, there was no music or any sort of background sound, so it was eerily quiet despite being at around 80% capacity. Also not very well decorated as their big shelves were empty of any decor. In short, tasty desserts, but don't expect it to be a fun hangout place. read more

Their Minced Beef Noodle, N1 on the menu, seems to be pork instead of beef. I heard two employees say minced pork noodle after I put in my order (a pork version is not listed on the menu); I find this misleading (What if I was a customer who didn't eat pork?). My green tea milk tea was decent, the flavor was strong. We were told that the sesame noodle and it's rice counterpart were not available, so we also ordered the Szechuan Eggplant Lo-mien. The minced pork noodle was pretty good and I found the portion size decent. I liked the texture of the noodles used. The eggplant lo-mien however, just tasted like Szechuan stir-fried eggplant on top of noodles, which made the noodles itself a little tasteless. Prices for their drinks seem to have increased. My green milk tea cost about $3.50, although the size of the drink was a medium (small sizes are not available). The employees and seating are the same as before (when it was called Tasty-to-go) and the snow desserts are still available. The employees could be a lot friendlier. Having three different menus (food, drinks, and snow) made it a little overwhelming. I may or may not come back again. read more

Very good shaved ice!! Haven't been to this place for a long time and the shaved ice is as good as I remember! It's pretty big and enough for two to share but its so good that i think i can finish all by myself:) we got the original flavor (condensed milk included) with 4 toppings ($0.50 per toppings)-boba, pudding, grass jelly and lychee jelly. I've never added boba to my shaved ice before but its delicious! Pudding is also good. I wish they had almond tofu jelly but they don't have this option so I had to get others which are just ok. This place is really close to my work meetings. For this reason, I go there more often than I should. The shaved ice is absolutely Sublime. The toppings are always generous and fresh. The serving size is significant while the price is very reasonable. And most places, shaved ice cost anywhere from 7 to $10 per portion. Although, it should be mentioned that the portions usually satisfy more than one person, usually two. Even so it's pretty refreshing to find a spot that has shaved ice that is very well done but also not too expensive. Especially for somebody like me who wants to go there more than once a week. After getting off of our shift, a friend and I decided to finish some class work for our nursing classes. Keep in mind, we work in a doctor's office, so wearing scrubs is mandatory attire. As we walk towards the entrance, the waitress is already holding the door open. We quickly enter the store, thanking the waitress for holding the door open for us. While walking through the doors, the waitress said something in Mandarin that I did not understand, however the friend that I came with understood everything she said. "Look at these kids. They're too young to be wearing scrubs! They're trying to pretend to be nurses," she scoffed. As someone who has worked in food/customer service, maintaining professionalism and having respect for every person who walks through the door is crucial for sustaining a successful business. Located in an area with heavy Asian American presence, I can guarantee you that many of the people who live here are bilingual and are able to understand MANDARIN.
