This place is really hit or miss. I ordered their drunken noodles mid-afternoon on a Tuesday, and it was quite good. I ordered tempura shrimp on a Friday evening and I threw out the entire thing because it was so bad. The batter wasn't crunchy, it was gummy and chewy. I'm not sure what all the raving reviews are on this place but this was absolutely disgusting to me, it's definitely not authentic. We had the drunken noodles with beef it was very greasy and the noodles were not even fully cooked, it was like eating hard pasta. The spring rolls were terrible mostly filled with noodles and one shrimp sliced in half. I actually asked for a refund on the drunken noodles because they were uneatable. If people enjoy this type of food that's great for them but coming from someone with an Asian background this is definitely not good Asian food... sorry not sorry. read more

Really good restaurant. I ordered delivery. Food arrived way earlier than scheduled, which was very welcome. All the dishes were well prepared. I especially liked the Golden Tofu -- lightly battered. The fried dumplings (always a favorite of mine) were excellent, and the dipping sauce was just ginger-y enough to be delicious. Crispy Spring Rolls: truly crispy! So this place has been ok. I think I'm done giving them my business at this point. They are very nice but I'm put off by the follow through when they forget items with my delivery order. I ordered Vietnamese Egg rolls and they forgot the sauce. Not the end of the world but you can't enjoy them without the sauce. They come with rice noddles and lettuce for wrapping. The sauce makes it complete. They are fried so already a little dry but the sauce makes it yummy. So they forgot my sauce so I called and they said they would deliver the order. ( I thought this meant a new order, new egg rolls with sauce) they just brought the sauce I would have preferred my money back because by the time the guy showed up the egg rolls were ice cold. Now they are inedible. Waste of money for sure!! They literally drove back to my house just to bring the sauce.... 20 min after my original order showed up. They wasted their gas. Big disappointment as red curry is my fav and I was really looking forward to it. Checked my order, and I had placed it correctly. Pad Thai was supposed to be mild but was more medium spice (could see pepper flakes all over). This was specifically for little kids so there goes that. I love this place. It is completely solid American style Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese. Their summer wraps are pretty delicious thanks to the thick salty/sweet peanut sauce. When I've had these other places they have herbs inside but I rarely come across this in the Denver area. I will say every time I meet a Summer Wrap with not herbs and only lettuce it makes me a little sad... But then there is peanut sauce so I still feel like a winner in the end... My friend really likes their veggie pad thai. I like it with shrimp and while I won't say it is the very best pad thai I've ever had, I will say that this is filling, satisfying and fresh and they give you a whole hell of a lot. Best food I've ever had. I frequent delivery. My absolute favorite thing ever is the steamed shumai and the yaki udon. My husband and I will continue to give our business here. Here's a plus. My boyfriend and I dine here frequently because they keep sending me flyers in the mail for drink and food specials and I'm all about getting a deal. The buy one get one drink is worth going in and enjoying a drink while sharing an appetizer. They are a bit pushy here though. They want you to order a lot of food, but sometimes we are not in the mood for much more than a snack. We usually get the duck salad and split it. It's pretty big. This place is completely average. Nothing you get on your plate shows any signs of being prepared with care or passion. This place might as well belong to Sodhexo or some other institutional food processor. Both the Pad Thai and the Lo Mein are prepared with way too much sugar. In fact the entire menu is full of items with too much sugar. The ingredients themselves all seem fresh and everything looks appetizing. Unfortunately nothing served here is really good. It's sad more than anything else. The interior is clean and spacious and the environment is slick. There is a full bar but price wise it's not really a place to sit and drink at. This location is the second Spicy Basil with the original downtown. Nothing on this menu is authentic Asian. It offers Asian style food trying to represent many different parts of Asia. The one thing this restaurant does that other Asian restaurants in the area do not do is open before 12:00 on weekends. If you are desperate for something that tastes vaguely Asian and you are hungry eating at Spicy Basil won't get you sick with anything other than regret and sadness. read more

They exceeded our expectations! The atmosphere is really classy, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. We brought our toddler, and he did fine, although it does seem more suited for a date night or dinner with friends. They currently have great drink specials to celebrate their grand opening. This place makes delicious food!!! The spring rolls and especially the peanut sauce are unbelievably fresh tasting! The pad Thai is lovely--good mix of rice noodle, protein, and mix ins. The Panang curry is mouthwatering. The flavor is just mind blowing-chicken is tender, potatoes are perfectly cooked, and the sauce is beyond delicious. I think I found a new staple!!! Plus, they usually deliver about 10 minutes earlier than the "expected" time.
