This is my third time here and I absolutely love this place. I got the nigiri sushi combo and it was so fresh and delicious. I came with a bigger party but we were seated very quickly and the waitress was so funny and nice and even took a photo for us. We ordered the pork katsu and the sushi combo #4 with 3 salmon sushi and 6 pcs spicy tuna roll. I appreciated the salad was mixed greens rather than iceberg lettuce, with refreshing ginger dressing. The miso soup was hot and not too salty. The sushi was very fresh, as was the wasabi. The pork katsu was a generous portion, and could've used a little more sauce. Overall a pleasant dining experience!

Super cute local mom and pops sushi spot! Came here for dinner one night and it was very pleasant. The whole place was super adorable. Our sever was nice and attentive. We ordered 2 of the combos to share and one of the rolls. The menu is very simple and has all the standard sushi items. The combos are great deals. We go A and B. Portion size is pretty good and the ingredients is fresh, the quality of the fish is an average cut. Easy no frills, reasonably priced meal. Parking was very easy in the adjacent lot.

Always great food, love coming here at least once a month minimum. Prices are always cheap, food is made fresh, and the owners are always happy to be here. Highly recommended coming here if you haven't already, the combo #3 is my favorite along with a Thai tea. 10/10

We finally went in! Don't let the outside scare you away. You walk in and it's like another land. We always pass by and after the encouraging reviews on yelp we went it. She said it's spicy, not at all. It was perfect heat ratio. Geez so worth $18. Cooked fresh!! I would say the only thing that bothered me was they use alot of green onions on everything. But we will definitely be back, to try more items.

Was craving sushi and found this cute mom and pop place to try. Got the combo 2 ($15) which came with miso soup, salad, spicy tuna roll, salmon skin hand roll, and 3 pieces of nigiri. The roll and nigiri were fresh and had a great rice to sushi ratio. The salmon skin hand roll was my favorite! It was crunchy, flavorful, and packed with fish and other veggies. So happy to have found an affordable and delicious place for sushi near home.

Omg how cute is this place? My fiancé and I were looking for a sushi place by my house, which is really hard to find a good one in Pomona, and found this spot. At first I wasn't so sure bcus it was located in the corner and it was dark at the time. But you should never judge a book by its cover! So glad we gave it a shot. This place looks to be owned but a family, and they are so sweet and attentive. We ordered way too much but finished it all bcus it was so yummmm!! The sushi tasted so clean and fresh. This is def #1 for Pomona.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure to try a fish spot that has been under my radar for a few months. My partner raves about this place so I thought it was finally time to give it a try. Initial impressions are as follows: - small yet ample parking - interesting purple building - beautiful indoor area, seating and overall atmosphere. The main lady that runs the space was very kind, welcoming and patient as we flipped through their cute photo album menu. I ordered the kimchi fried rice without pork, a spicy tuna roll and an oyster shooter. The oyster shooter was first. The smell was fresh like the salty Pacific. The Roll was fascinatingly spicy. The kimchi fried rice... it was spicy, tangy, ferment-y-- all the yummy goodness to be expected. Safe to say, this is my new Japanese seafood cuisine spot. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS!!

This is about my 20th time coming to this place and I have to say that I very highly recommend it. Everything from the staff to the food is just excellent here. You cannot best the level of service or their food. The food feels like it's really home made, and at the price you can't beat the quality and portion size. I just moved from Temecula to Pomona and by far this is one of the best sushi places in town. The venue is small but the ambience is very cozy. The sushi itself is amazing. The rolls are not as small as other places either--the rolls are well packed, so you definitely get your money's worth. read more

This place is great. I've probably been here around 20 times since it's opened. I love their rolls! They have great customer service, great prices, and the restaurant is very clean. They don't sale alcohol but maybe they will in the future. Overall, I love it and it is conveniently located close to where I live. Pomona needed a sushi place like this. read more

My favorite spot for sushi! The food is good, fish is fresh and of the highest quality. The prices are good and they give you good portions of food so it is a really good value. I recommend the Sushi combo #3! It's a big serving of 3 different types of rolls and it comes with miso soup and salad. read more

Came here for the first time with my little family and it was perfect. It's Korean and Japanese and you really feel the culture. It's a nice atmosphere, and the workers are so sweet and humble. The food here is awesome. They have the best sushi and Ramen soup. I'm not even a fan of Ramen soup, but my husband had some and I tried it and it was soooo great. We will definitely be coming back here. Thank you guys for a great first experience! read more

This place is very nice the staff is so friendly and helpful. You can tell once you walk in that the food here is very authentic! I had the spicy sea food udon. It was so good!!! Definitely recommend try it!! I also tried the salmon and yellowtail sashimi l. The fish was very fresh and tasted so good. I also had the shrimp tempera that was very fresh as well. If you are thinking about going I definitely recommend it. You can't fine to many authentic good restaurants and this place is really one of them. Hope this review helped happy eating read more

I love what they have done to the place, absolutely beautiful compared to how it used to look. The chicken teriyaki is so good and their fried zucchini tempura is the first but I fell in love with it. I work in a fast food place where they serve zucchini in much of a more thicker batter, & from my first time trying tempura fry it was just amazing. Life changing to be honest. read more

I had been looking for a good sushi place around me for a while now. Tried others but they just didn't quite do it for me. This place was awesome though. I had the combo that was 3 rolls, soup and salad, and I only paid 13 dollars! And it was delicious. To walk out that satisfied anywhere else would have definitely set me back 25 to 30 bucks. And they were really nice and the restaurant was clean with a nice ambiance. Would definitely return read more

i just recently found this gem and wanted to share good news with my diamond bar neighbors who are tired of high priced, good, japanese food but not great japanese food. (there is one exceptional Japanese restaurant in north diamond bar by the bowling alley but I won't name them here). from temple ave at the tip of north diamond bar, SPICY FISH restaurant is only 2 miles down mission blvd in pomona (at 1084 w mission on your right at hamilton), and not only is the quality of food, quantity of food, and service exceptional, it is very well priced!! their california rolls are killer and the best i have had in a long time. Unbelievably, you get 8 pieces for only 5.00 and they are slightly over sized, exceedingly delicious with thoughtful spicing and a great amount of avocado (which is my favorite part), and guess what? compared to diamond bar prices (only 2 miles away), they are actually underpriced! so was their astounding shrimp tempura! This tempura surprised me in a slightly thicker batter for a more hearty crunch and delicious, fresh shrimp. Nice, clean, friendly, asian ambience and we have a winner in our very own back yard! two miles for a lot of smiles? oh yeah. they have a fan here! I do have a request for them. A bento box, or combo teriyaki, tempura, Calif roll daily special would send people to the moon. Especially me! read more

I ordered the lunch kalbi ribs special a few weeks back and I was given a generous portion of ribs. I came back last week and was given only four ribs. I was so hungry afterwards, I had to stop off at Taco Bell and get two taco supremes. The same thing happened to my mom. Her seafood portion on the tofu hot pot varied drastically as well on her subsequent visits. Not sure how they are coordinating with their kitchen, but something is amiss. Hopefully they can get this ironed out.

Long overdue review. I have been coming here since they first opened and am a regular. Yelp got this right and exactly what everyone is raving about, it's worth the five stars. You will not find cheaper prices with the freshest fish in town. This is it. They have lots of options, place is very cozy and service is good. This is in my top favorite Japanese / Korean restaurants of all time. read more
