Well for starters; I ordered the five tacos when i got it, it wasnt quite what I had expected, very small mini corn tortilla tacos with meat, onions and cilantro-that was it, meat had very little seasoning, no cheese, pico de gallo even, thee plainest tacos I have ever eaten. My boyfriend had this shrimp relleno plate that wasnt quite what we expected either. Basically an over priced appetizer- NOT an entree! The shrimp were wrapped in bacon and then deep fried like a relleno. It was bite sized rellenos, not a relleno accompanied by thee most common boring sides of; wait... Beans and rice. I have now been to this restaurant 3 times. I am not one to write negative reviews, if they are not well deserved. This restaurant is awful. The food is below average and quite overpriced for what you get. The service is not as bad as the food, but, it sure isn't good. All three times we had to flag down our waitress if we needed anything, including the bill, after we waited, plates gone, for 15 minutes at our table. I have been staying at the hotel across the street so I have eaten here twice. First time was sit down inside, second time ordered carry out. My quesadillas were delicious. Today I had a chicken fajita burrito which was fabulous. My husband had supreme nachos both times, which I also had a bit of. I think this will be my favorite restaurant to go to. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Brighton. The green chili is delicious as well as the salsa. The tacos are very good as are the flautas. Colorado lacks for good Mexican food and most of all spicy Mexican food. So when we saw that SPICY was in their name we had to go. The tacos and other items we ordered were tasty, but not spicy at all. When we asked for a spicier salsa they told us they only had one type of salsa and offered us hot sauce. Sorry but I don't need Tapatio or Chalula for my food. I just wish Colorado would stop smothering everything in green chili sauce and start making good tasting spicy salsa. read more

A group of us showed up an hour before closing and they turned us away and locked their doors on us. After two of three of our cars left they they unlocked their doors for business again... I really wanted to like this restaurant. I live close by and fell in love with the idea of walking over to Spicy Tacos and having margaritas on the patio with nice a plate of enchiladas. However after my first and only experience here I think I'm better off driving around town for my Mexican food. The biggest knock against this place was the service. From telling us that we could order a kid's cheese quesadilla a' la carte and then trying to charge us $5.00 for an adult quesadilla to forgetting our silverware. "I'll be right back with your silverware!" turned into him serving drinks and taking orders before I had to chase the waiter down to get the silverware after a few minutes. And the we come to the food. The menu was an interesting mix of selections and some of your typical fare such as enchiladas are not on the menu. My wife and I ordered two different shrimp dishes and the shrimp in both plates was chewy. And let's not forget the rice and beans. The rice is what you would expect but the refried beans were something else. I usually love the refried beans in most restaurants and these beans were not only bland, but were extremely fatty like there was too much lard in the beans. Guess I'll have to keep driving for margaritas and enchiladas on the patio for now. read more

Kept hearing this was a good place to eat so had to stop by and try it out. First noticed the place was clean and friendly, plus the "free WiFi" sign on the door was good to know in the future. Good color scheme gives the restaurant a good feel. Menu was limited to standard items so not a lot of choices, but enough to fill the scope of this small restaurant. I ordered, well, the spicy tacos. Figured they should be good since the restaraunt is named after them. Had the chicken and the pork tacos. Definitely not Taco Bell (thankfully). Served with onions and cilantro, they provide radish and cucumber slices to add to the tacos. I really enjoyed the different tastes. My daughters ordered the kids quesadilla meals. The quesadillas were basic with the extras piled in the middle. Good idea since many kids are picky about what they want to put in their food. However, when I saw the huge basket of fries that came with the Q's, I was a bit surprised. Not sure so many fries (or fries at all) would go with this meal. Maybe something a little more, say, Mexican, would be good. Lose the fries, please, unless kids order hamburgers. They may also want to add milk to the beverage menu for parents who want a healthy alternative to soda, but not water. Service was great! Server was on the ball with refills and whatever else we needed. I asked about their guacamole and he said they make it fresh daily (good to know!). Again, a clean and friendly atmosphere is a plus here. Overall, a good experience and I will be back. Skip Taco Bell and take the time to stop in for better tacos. read more

This used to be a great place to go eat and have fun, the wait staff has changed, the service has changed from great to horrible. No one comes by to see if you need anything. My drink stayed empty for 30 minutes, there is no personality with the wait staff. Really has gone down hill. The food is still good. Just the atmosphere is boring!!!!!!!. This was my first time eating at this restaurant. It doesn't look like much from the outside situated in a strip mall but don't let the location keep you from trying it. I had the fish tacos and the portion was huge. So good! Loved it. We actually got free churros since the cook staff had prepared an order for someone else who didn't want them.
