    Chicken quesadilla

Came during happy hour (5-7pm), and it's such a great deal. Half priced appetizers, and good deals for the drinks. The service was pretty good, and the food came out quick. The ambiance had an old time feel. Parking was not too shabby.

$6 martinis all day Thursday is what dreams are made of! Our waitress, Brooke, was super sweet and accommodating and gave us some of her favorite recommendations! Loved the patio seating on a sunny day and plan to make this my weekly go-to with the girls moving forward.

    Bacon Cheese Burger and Fries

Walking by I noticed a delicious looking burger. So I swung back later for a late lunch. Cool bar. Always busy. Service was ok. But the burger looked better than it tasted. Definitely your standard bar food level and nothing above and beyond. I ordered the 1/4 cheese burger and added bacon. The bacon could have been a little crispier, the pickles were awesome, and the beef patty was a little weak. I'd order the double patty instead for sure. The fries were Mc Donald's style....my favorite.

    Mimosas @ the bar
    Elizabeth L.

Came here for the first time on a Sunday morning around 11:30 AM. Mimosas - Standard mimosa. No strange aftertaste. Decent strength in alcohol content. Huevos Rancheros - Eggs were cooked perfectly - nice & runny yolk with whites cooked thoroughly. Tostadas were very crispy, but slightly overcooked & a touch burnt. Served with refried black beans spread over the tostadas, a generous, spread of salsa, and cotija cheese. Served with a side of rancheros sauce which tasted like salsa verde. Brunch potatoes - Lightly salted. Cooked nicely - crispy on the outside & soft, fluffy, & tender on the inside. Doesn't get soggy despite sitting on top of salsa. Would have liked more seasoning, but still good. Brunch Burger - Like biscuits & gravy, but on a burger. Flavor is good - very tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Habanero Margarita - actually uses a pretty good reposado tequila - Mi Compo. Very smooth & slightly spicy. Hot Mexican Chili Arbol Wings to go - Came with a hand sanitizing wipe. Medium crispy on the outside. Good flavor. Overall, we had a very nice experience. We sat at the bar, and our bartender, Kinsley, was very nice, personable, & very knowledgeable of menu despite only being here for a month. They also have a happy hour between 4-7 PM, so I'd like to try out their happy hour. I'd recommend & I'd come back.

This bar just opened and it was really a cute gem. There's and inside and cute patio and huge bar in the middle. Great for meeting up with friends and having a chill time! The people were very friendly. The food was amazing. Like the Buffalo cauliflower and artichoke were beyond bomb. The fries were perfect as well. The drink was very cute & very tasty. The best thing was the service. Paris was my server and she did a great job servicing my table! I will deff return!

Overall this bar was good. Big selection of drinks. We enjoyed the chip trio and the guac, salsa, and queso were all a hit. Fajita steak on the taco salad was great. We loved the fries. Atmosphere is great with tons of outside tables. Service was kind yet slow.

I've been here a few times now and I'll keep coming back. They always have great deals on food/drinks, especially their $6 martini night. The elote fritters we're something different on a bar menu but boy we're they good. (Not pictured) the chicken finger basket can be tossed in any of their wing sauces, I recommend getting them tossed in Buffalo sauce. If you're in the neighborhood looking for a bar with good food/drinks I highly recommend spider Murphy!

Great addition to Knox/Henderson! Plenty of seating, great service, pretty good food, and great specials. Ask for the tequila grapefruit shot! Parking is okay after 6pm in the adjacent lot.

Came here for an early dinner on a Saturday & it was cute, their patio is nice & seems like a fun spot for happy hour or day drinking. I ordered the habanero margarita but it didn't taste spicy at all and had that sweet & sour taste so I wouldn't order it again. I got the tex mex bowl and it was actually very good & huge! The sandwiches looked huge & the chicken sandwich had chicken strips on it and was very good... my friends split the tacos and they came with all the fixings and were also pretty good!

    Cozy!

This is just another wonderful addition to the Knox / Henderson area when you want to stop in for a quick beverage and/or bar eats with friends! I think the name of this spot has changed more than once but love the current vibes. It is a cozy spot that kind of reminds me an upscale dive/pub. You can sit at the bar but they also have tables and a cozy couch in the back to kick it. My friends ordered drinks and I tried out the espresso martini! Potent and served with love! I loved the nice touch on top. I would come back for the martini alone to be honest. Some patrons next to us ordered what looked like skillet nachos and they looked and smelled absolutely incredible. I must come back to try those as well! Overall this place really surprised me with how much I liked it, and I do love when that happens. Can't wait to return with buds when I'm back doing my Dora the explorer thing in this part of Dallas.

Food was just bad. Service stunk. Took forever to get drinks and then even longer to order. Don't order the Murphy Cristo or a salad.

Silly ole me asked if onion cups could be provided and the resturant obliged, thank-you! Now for the taste test. The shrimp and pork dumplings were well packed with the protein. They dressed it well in sauces too! As I placed my dumpling in the onion cup i can say the sharpness of the onion meshed well. The crunch also brought another level texture to a soft dumpling. Now this is usually done with soup dumplings but when I say its a trend it ended diverting from the original post. Regardless, the restaurantet let me be silly and I appreciated it! As for our pizza, not to sound like im a pizza critic but this was a good one. The slice held well the toppings were fresh, especially the basil! It was thin and airy. They do not have a brick oven in case you were wondering. It didn't matter to me. I enjoyed my pizza! The cocktails were spot on in liquor and flavor balance. Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

For entrees, I had the chicken fried chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was good and plenty because I had to take some with me. I would come back here and try some other dishes.

First it looked so cool and the avocado was the base and instead of the creamy egg it was a chick pea cream with some salt and seasoning. It was topped with onion straws. OMG it was really good. I really loved it and the texture was similar to deviled egg. For my main dish, I got a fresh kale salad with ranch dressing. It also had chick peas croutons. The ranch was light and very good. The kale was crisp and the chickpea croutons were unique and crispy. It was large enough for two. I also ordered a side of fresh cut fries which were cut thin. It was crispy and lightly salted. The night started beautifully--we enjoyed espresso martinis at the bar and were then seated at one of our favorite tables. We ordered a bottle of wine and caviar and were settling in to plan the rest of our meal when the experience took a turn. A tween/teen birthday party was seated in the private room. At first, we assumed the noise was just initial excitement and would settle after a few minutes. The parents of the birthday girl were seated nearby, and when the mother got up, we expected she might ask the girls to lower their volume. Unfortunately, the opposite happened--she brought the group out into the main dining room for photos, where the noise level became even more disruptive. Another couple seated near us--at what is typically a very desirable table--lasted no more than five minutes before asking to be moved outside. Shortly after, a manager approached the private room. We anticipated they would address the noise, but instead, they greeted the party warmly and thanked them for being there, without making any effort to manage the disruption. After so many consistently great experiences, it was honestly shocking. We truly felt as though we were being punked. My boyfriend and I both have children and enjoy bringing them to nice restaurants, but part of that experience includes ensuring they understand and respect the environment. When that standard isn't upheld--especially with no support from management--it significantly detracts from the experience for everyone else.
