While visiting Dahlonega, we had lunch at Spirits Tavern which was recommended by one of the shop owners. It did not dissapoint. I had a patty melt with fries and my husband had the trash pile. Service was great, food came fast & was hot and fresh. Very reasonably priced as well. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area. read more

Spirits Tavern has wonderful staff and creative, fun drinks. This is hands down the best place to eat in all of Dahlonega. They have local art on the walls and the atmosphere is laidback. You can order any burger as a hotdog (personal favorite is the Fun Guy as a hotdog). The drink menu changes from time to time which keeps things fresh but can be a let down if you have a favorite drink and aren't able to order it (this happened to me). On the bright side, our excellent server suggested another drink which was equally as delicious and something I would've never tried otherwise. They don't take reservations but they do have a waitlist if you call in advance on the same day. This is quite nice for days when there are big events and they're super busy. Even if there is a wait, the shops in Dahlonega are eclectic and worth checking out. read more

Busy as always and everyone always seems to be so happy to be there, so definitely worth a visit. I had the Chicago fixings on a dog and the 3rd eye cocktail with a pasta salad. Normally I prefer to get the walker fixings on a burger, but a dog was calling my name and it definitely hit the spot. Piled high with all the fixings and definitely worth waiting for. This is not the first time I have been here, and it never ceases to disappoint!!! They do have sanitizer and are wearing masks, and the wait staff are very friendly and such you immediately. I love the atmosphere it's very inviting and even a bit spooky, but I think that's what they are going for!!! We ate here on Monday, November 13, 2023, at about 12:30 PM. My daughter and I each ordered hamburgers. Later, my daughter, who was treating me for my birthday, noticed that an extra $2.00 had been tacked onto the bill for each hamburger - $4.00 in total. Tax was paid on this, as well as tip percentage. There was nothing on the menu suggesting they were going to add upcharges on our hamburgers. We were too far away to turn around and object, so had to take the shafting. Our order and service was with the blonde bartender with long hair. read more

Went on Mother's Day when there was a little bit of a wait to get a table. I was with my young family when we got a call to see if we wanted to be seated but without a high chair. Unfortunately, they only had one high chair. We decided to sit down anyways. Service was nice and friendly and their menu looked like they had something for everybody. Even those who didn't drink. Our order came reasonably quick since they were considering to bring out the kids food before they got too cranky. When the rest of our food came it was really good. Highly recommend the burgers. Visited Spirits for the first time and it was amazing. There was an hour wait but they have a text based notification system which allowed us to stroll around the square and visit some shops. They will hold your table for 10 minutes after they text you so don't go too far. Once inside the ambience is friendly bar type scene. All four of us ordered hamburgers from their impressive burger menu choices. We also ordered cocktails. The service was prompt and excellent. The drinks were not watered down at all. The 1-hour wait was well worth it as Spirits did not disappoint. Our server Lexus was awesome. She really knew the menu and had great recommendations for food and drink. The New Old Fashioned was fantastic. The hot honey chicken sandwich is a bit of Heaven on Earth. And the Kalettes (brussel sprouts) were fantastic. Visited Dahlonega on Thursday, so quieter downtown than weekend. Few places were full and several weren't even open. But Spirits T was packed with several groups waiting; 20-30 minutes for us if willing to sit bar or table. They use a digital wait list, allowing you to remain outside on nice day rather than crowd into small entrance area. The system messaged you when seating was available. My kinda place! Service was very friendly from the young man taking our name, seating us, and helping clear tables without completely abandoning new arrivals. Waitress he introduced to us, and she was always smiling and very on top of her game! Whole place ran like a clock. Customer service was and is my career's focus, and the poise, awareness and attentiveness everyone showed was great. The gal working a full bar always smiled, never left anyone along for long, and presented food orders as carefully as our waitress. Due to crowd. kitchen took a little time, but food arrived hot and generous in portion. Thin French fries, a burger probably 7-8 ozs and cooked just right, and the same execution for my wife's rings and burger, well done as my wife instructed the waitress. Everything tasted great. This place was awesome! Stopped in on our way through town for a quick bite. We were passing by to go to a different place when the girls outside asked if we ate and did we want to see a menu. After reviewing the menu we decided to try it out. The tavern was inviting and the first thing we were offered was the Bloody Mary bar! Awesome! Declined on the Bloody Marys but we did try the Mac and cheese bites. YUMMMMMY!! I had the chicken salad with cole slaw and my wife had the chicken Caesar and tater tots. The food was refreshing and perfectly portioned, and the staff was attentive and accommodating. We will definitely make this a regular stop when we visit Dahlonega! read more

Awful service, the place smells and you can't even seat yourself at the bar or seat multiple people at the same time , who came up with that policy. the hostess was really rude and told us..." we should of read the sign at the door and kicked us out of the bar. I worked in the restaurant business all my life and was a bartender myself as well as some of the others in my party and we never talked to a customer the way she talked to us. Plus as a business owner I would want every seat taken in my place. The funniest part was that after we were moved to a table, I looked over at the bar and it was completely empty. Poor bartender.
