My favorite thing to order at Spitz is the doner salad with beef and lamb, with the balsamic vinaigrette. Other items I'd recommend are the gyro, sweet potato waffle fries and the fried pita. Definitely get the app and get some reward points to redeem for free food. I usually order online from this location, and pick up is a breeze and ready on time or early. read more

CURRENTLY poor kitchen (cooks) execution. Multiple orders were filled wrong while I was waiting there. The meat cannot be served COLD! Figure it out, pour hot oil on meat, do fresh cuts before serving, but don't serve cold meat, please. I WANT YOU to KEEEP WINNING! Too good of a formula you got. Awesome recipes. Halal meats. 2 dishes ordered through GrubHub, options to include or remove items. In both dishes, the options were completely ignored and just made with default of including all items. Over an hour spent with GrubHub to try to get a complete refund, as the food was thrown out. Do a better job SpitZ-Studio City and read the actual orders for what your customers order! I shouldn't have to pay for something I didn't order. read more

Spitz is one of my favorite "fast food" Mediterranean restaurants. I have yet to be disappointed here at this location. Everything is freshly made and is pretty healthy except maybe for the fries but who cares...it's good to be naughty every now and then... The salads and wraps are always delicious and a decent size. I really like Spitz! I think the food is incredible. I think the staff at this location is great. I really particularly like their street fries. But everything on the menu is really really good. As far as just food goes, this is one of our favorite places, and I can't recommend it enough. The major downside to this location is there is no parking. There's a little lot in the back, but it fills up very quickly, it's difficult to navigate, and depending on the size of your vehicle you may not even be able to fit in there. Street parking in this part of town is horrible. So, that's the major downside. But again, even with that we keep coming back. And we'll keep coming back. Like I said, this is one of our favorite restaurants. read more

Love to order in from Spitz. If you're in the mood for Middle Eastern/Doner Kabob, this place will satisfy your craving. I've tried their salads, wraps, and most recently their Doner basket. All of them come with a combination of protein (either chicken, lamb, beef, a combo of the 3, or falafel) as well as all the salad fix-ins. Think peppers, onions, tomato, cucumber, feta, roasted crispy chick peas, peperoncini, and even crispy lavash (flatbread) chips. You can also modify the fix-ins depending on your preferences, so you can make it just how you like it. The basket also comes with fries and you can choose potato, sweet potato waffle fries, or both. Getting all those choices makes it so that you can try tons of different combinations every time you order. The salad ingredients are always super fresh and the zingi-ness of the peperoncini goes really well with the whole combo. Delivery comes pretty fast so I never have to wait too long to enjoy their food. I think it's a great option for healthy, delicious Mediterranean food made fast. read more

First time customer and really loved the food. I got the Mediterranean salad and the Feta Wrap, both with beef and lamb. Both items were super fresh and delicious. No skimping on ingredients either! The wrap had an amazing dressing and I could only eat half. I enjoyed the combination of ingredients in the salad and finished half. Both items tasted wonderful the next day. I don't have a complaint for the food. It tastes good for fast food Mediterranean. The size of it is a bit questionable, I was expecting the gyro to be a bit bigger. Really nice interior and outdoor seating. My main issue which is why I knocked it down to 3 stars was that it was $23 +$2 tip. $25 for a meal this small, I might as well go to a more upscale Mediterranean place. Used to love this place but the quality seems to have gone down. Smaller portions, ingredients not as good, all the sauce at the bottom of the wrap. I ordered some Postmates/Uber Eats from here and the gyros I ordered was good but I also ordered their doner wrap. It tasted ok but for some odd reason it reeked of dish soap. You know how some times smell can effect taste. Well it was having that effect. I don't believe it was cilantro or something like that. I've had cilantro plenty of times and I'm not one of those people who confuse it for the dish soap flavor. This actually just really smelled like someone poured dish soap all in the wrap but it didn't obviously taste like it. I would pay closer attention to the food and find out what could have given that possible odor and fix it ASAP read more

This is my favorite place to eat when we're in Studio City. Tons of options like salads, bowls, wraps, loaded fries and flat bread pizzas. They have a kids menu as well. I usually order the street cart fries with the beef & lamb mix. Their fries are double battered and pair perfectly with the garlic aioli. I also really love their apple mint sangria. It's so refreshing! The flat bread pizzas are new to the menu and can feed 2-3 people. We tried the street cart crunch this time and it was pretty good. The kids enjoyed the cheese pizza as well. The Mind Flayer was the favorite, it came with dry ice so it bubbled, and had stringy licorice as a garnish. Definitely glad we found this bar, and the times we went practically had no wait. Hey the staff is horrid!!! I went to pick up food as a courier, and the 2 male bartenders took forever to come to me. And they were being very, very slow to update me about the order, and one of them went back to me twice as if I just got inside the restaurant and asked me again "how may I help you". And even after 40 minutes waiting for the food, they have a smiley face towards me as if they were condescending, not caring about the fact of taking so long and not sympathetic. So after ready, the cooker came and I asked him to check the items out. It was missing 4 items. He went back to the kitchen and after came back to me saying nothing is missing, everything is on the bag. I told him it was missing 2 items, and they were not on the receipt. He turned his back and left. So after going to the customer to drop it off, the client told me 4 items were missing. I went back to Spitz and one of the barman/waiter told me he cannot do anything, the items were on the receipt, the food was all in the bag. I told him it was not. He looked at the app (Caviar) and kept saying he gave me the food. They were unfriendly. This place will be boycotted from my part and I will never do mobile deliveries if it is from this restaurant read more

Came here today and all I can pretty much say is wow....came here during happy hour and got the street cart fries for $5 and a beer to go with it. Amazing ingredients that they used and I really haven't had anything like that before. You can taste and smell the freshness. You can park in the back or look for parking on the streets, but its metered parking and you're limited to one hour. The moment that you walk in you get such a good vibe and the decorations that they have here is just something that you don't see everyday. They even have games you can play like jenga or battleship. Overall, really great place to just hang out and have good food with your friends. Thank you Spitz! Oh and their customer service is also amazing! read more

Went there for lunch last Friday. The food was unique and actually quite good. Their beer selection was great as well. The only reason I'm taking off a star is because the service is very confusing. When you come in, there is no sign stating "order here". We ended up sitting at the table for 20 minutes until we realized you have to order at the counter. The restaurant is set up in a way that it looks like your standard sit down place... but apparently it's not. What's disappointing is the employees saw us sitting there and no one bothered to come and tell us how their system works. Anyhow, hopefully they fix that for future first time clients. As far as we go, we'll be back for the doner wraps! read more

i made a pickup order at 5:50pm over spitz.com website. drove there and reached after 30 mins. The waitress asked if i would like to make an order and i told her that i have pick up the order. I told her my name . And she looked confused and went inside and told me that they are preparing it now. at 6:30 I again asked my order and she went direct to inside. I left location at 6:35 without my meal. Nonsense. If you can not make 1 doner within 1 hour you should not be in this business. Despite spitz was my favorite in this area very firm about not visiting from now on. Called location for refund she said she will check if they can do it :) Very disappointed read more

This was absolutely o e of the worst lunches I've ever had. Forget the fact that it was ice cold, but It was supposed to have been delivered before 1pm and finally, after a 1/2 hour late, or was pretty much some of the most disgusting food I e ever ate. And ate is strong word. I actually threw most of it away. Truly truly disgusting place and still looks better than the food. I know everyone having difficult time in the pandemic and I hate saying this but this place really needs to be shut down. Can't leave this place without review. Cause it is absolutely awesome! Since my last visit to the Turkey I fell in love with Doners, and couple years later in LA I finally found a place with something similar to turkish doner. It is done right, meat is tender and spicy, salad is making wrap crispy, and in addition lavash crisps inside make it even more crisper. Tomatoes and tatziki sauce finishing the sandwich to make it juicy. Also I Luke the design inside the place, urban graffities and board games. Customer service is excellent. read more

My first review for this gem! Since I've been to Germany passed almost 10 years, but I still remember the taste of real Doner Kebab. This place got so close to this taste, and you never be wrong coming here. Atmosphere and customer service is a must for any public eatery, and this place offers it on a high level. Even though I came during the lunch time, my doner was ready on less than 5 minutes. Full of flavor, tender meat, and garlic sauce. I visited the Studio City store and ordered a CHICKEN kabob salad for a total of $11.99. The female cashier was very helpful but the amount of food was way to small for the amount I paid. When I got home and opened the container I was accidentally given a kabob of meat of a non chicken substance...For the price a larger serving and serving the customer the meat of their choice is a good idea. A plus for the place is the parking provided behind the restaurant and the super clean fun bathrooms! read more

I love the food and atmosphere here, and I think the doner wrap is the bomb... but it seems like every time I go here there is less and less meat in the wrap! What's the deal? I even had to order extra meat last time and then instead of putting it in the wrap that put the extra meat on the side. That's kind of silly. But anyway, the food is really great - I hope they can start filling those wraps with a decent amount of meat again! read more

I go to Spitz fairly often, having lived around the area. The place definitely has an interesting vibe to it. I enjoy the food for the most part, but it is sort of hit or miss as of recently. I mostly go in just for the doner, I know now not to order the falafel. I thought maybe I got a bad batch or something, but it's been disappointing every time. The food here is great and it's a nice space to sit down and chill with friends. I usually get the falafel kebap and the falafel isn't dry like at a lot of places. The staff are usually pretty cool but the customer service isn't anything to write home about. I eat here regularly though because it's guaranteed good. I pretty much have no complaints about this place. I usually get the falafal wrap but I've tried a few other things on the menu including the salads, all of which are great. I have a few dietary restrictions that the staff are always very accommodating about. It's a nice space too and they have sriracha available which is AWESOME. read more

There was zero garnishing so the presentation was mediocre. The fruit bowl consisted of just cantaloupe. They tasted weird (they had an after taste of rubbing alcohol) so I didn't eat them. My hubby and daughter's food was ok. Nothing to brag about. Marilou served us. She was very pleasant, friendly and the best thing about our experience. She deserves 5 stars. I doubt that we will go back. It definitely wasn't worth $75 (with tips).

We walked in with my son today around 3:15pm and were greeted by Nick, who was the only other person in the restaurant other than us. On a sunny and HOT day such as today, the A/C wasn't working and they only had 2 giant ceiling fans spinning, which were barely providing any relief. We were so hot and sweaty the entire time and it was very uncomfortable. My son stayed with water and I ordered their freshly squeezed orange juice, which was delicious. They have a very extensive breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner menu ranging from omelettes, breakfast plates, French toast, pancakes, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, paninis, burgers, salads, and much more. They also had a big refrigerator full of bottled drinks, juice, sodas, etc. Limited dessert menu options, but we skipped dessert. We were too full. We got a couple of different menu items to try, starting with the Goat Cheese and Spinach omelette that came with sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms. It was absolutely DELICIOUS and made to PERFECTION! They also didn't skimp on any of the ingredients. It came with a side of sourdough toast and I opted for a fruit cup instead of fries or hashbrowns. The next item was the Caprese Panini, which comes with your standard mozzarella/tomato/basil, but I added chicken breast to it. Got this one with garlic fries, but it came to the table with regular fries. Nick said it was his mistake and offered to take it back, but we were too hungry and told him to just leave it. Also got their Avocado toast which came on a thick slice of Sourdough bread. It had over-easy eggs on top of the avocado, with arugula and sriracha mayo. This was also very tasty and the eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. My son had the chicken burger but asked for it to be wrapped in lettuce instead of the standard brioche bun it comes with. He said it was fine. The place was super dead and the decor was mostly just framed photos of iconic LA buildings/landmarks and there was a pretty cool mural on the ceiling of different legendary artists, such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Selena, and Tupac. Some of the furniture seemed pretty old and the fluff was coming out from inside the sofas. They also had 2-3 TVs playing, but the volume was off. Also have 2 bathrooms, one for each gender. We didn't use them, but hopefully they were clean. The restaurant was clean as well. Overall, it was a pretty decent experience and the food was really good. Service was good too, although Nick seemed to be checking on us too frequently, maybe since we were the only people there. Also, I'm not sure what's up with their hours, because Yelp, Google, and their website all say different things. I thought they close at 5pm, but he turned away a couple at 4:20pm, saying the kitchen was closed. After we left around 4:45, he locked up the doors and went home. Then on their website, it says they're open until 9pm. I'm not sure where the disconnect is here. I would probably come back if I'm in the area again, and I recommend this place for a quick lunch (if the A/C is working).

Located on the corner of Ventura and Colfax, Amir's has fantastic meat on a spit and Israeli salads. I love their carrot salad, their smoked eggplant, and their tomato and cucumber salad. Meats are well seasoned, juicy, and the portions are generous. Their falafel balls are well seasoned, and their hummus has a texture that I really enjoy -- it's got a tiny bit of grit to it instead of being perfectly smooth. I lived in Israel when I was in college, and I find their food to be very authentic to what I used to eat on Ben Yehuda Street. The parking lot can get a little crowded, but it's free parking, which is a plus. Service is friendly and pretty quick! There are so many great falafel and Shawarma places in the valley...but my heart belongs to Amir's.
