So, I was visiting California to audition for a new tv series and my friends and I love to go to Mediterranean restaurants. I went out on a limb and tried to look up the nearest Mediterranean restaurant and found I came here on March the 8th while I was in town, I was hesitant because Houston has some really amazing Turkish spots but spitz did not disappoint means I will definitely be coming back. I got the classic street cart wrap and street cart fries. DELICIOUS. The only complaint I have is I wish I would have gotten regular fries instead not because the cart fries weren't amazing but I was so full I hated myself when I left. Always enjoy eating at spitz. We always get the mixed meat doner wrap, street cart fries, and garbanzo beans. The street cart fries and the garbanzo beans are my favorite. I would be shoot just eating those two sides. Their aioli sauce is also very good. read more

My wife and I were walking Ventura Boulevard and came upon this place. We were greeted promptly and politely by Vartouhie and Nelson. I enjoyed a Mediterranean Wrap, and my wife a Mediterranean salad. The food was skillfully prepared and delicious. The craft beer selection is off the hook. I enjoyed the 33 degree Lost Cities IPA (2 pints). Awesome craft beer. The atmosphere was amazing, Retro 70's artwork and tunes. What else can I say. read more

This is prob one of the most welcoming restaurants I've been too, me and my girl always there at least 4 times a month the service there is a 10/10, Diana was sure to make our visit special every time with her great customer service she always greets us with a smile she is so friendly and always aware if we need anything! If you took a food truck with hipster cooks and cashiers and expanded it into a restaurant, you'd have this place. They kinda sorta serve you, the art and design of the interior is unique and great for conversation, and there are worn out (but playable) board games like Battleship, Connect 4 and Jenga (don't forget the hand sanitizer). The food is okay, but nothing I'd pay $10 for again. The service leaves a lot to be desired, it's as if they're doing their customers a favor by talking to them. One cashier girl (brunette) with tattoos just stared around blankly in an awkward aloof way while someone was waiting to order. The manager was nice, but it feels like the whole bunch is too cool for school. No one ever smiled. I have been here a handful of times. They play great music and have games/cards all around the restaurant. The design/atmosphere inside is quite vibrant and relaxed. I greatly enjoy their wraps and sweet potato fries! I'd say best sweet potato fries in LA. They have small jars from which you can pick fresh slices of limes, lemons and oranges. As well as a large fresh fruit flavored water keg, very convenient. The times I have gone it has never been too crowded, which is great since everything in LA is crowded! Good was delicious, customer service defiantly lacking. Unfortunately I got food poisoning. I ate the mixed meat street doner kebab. Maybe it was the mixed meat is old. I don't know... After this horrible stomach issue I won't be going back. As for customer service, I was told it would take 15 min for my to go order, it took 40.... I fell in love with Spitz from the first time I went to the one in Litle Tokyo five years ago. The food is always seasoned to perfection. The menu is simple and straightforward and there is no way you can go wrong. I love Spitz so much that I took my mom to the one in Studio City for Mother's Day Brunch. Kristel, "is" is a verb, not a preposition. The restaurant that closed was over-the-top-in price and a bit pretentious in menu choices, but this place is also over the top a bit. The food is less expensive, but it is like fast-food Middle-Eastern style. Maybe that's OK for some. Not for me. Parking is a hassle/hit or miss. The food isn;t that good. Had one of the best lunches I've had in a loooong time here yesterday with a friend of mine. The decor is very colorful and fresh feeling. The ambiance is lively and fun (especially with the World Cup playing on the flat screens.) The best part was the food. I adhere to the Paleo diet and I was pleasantly surprised to see that on their menu they have an item called "The Garden Bowl" that featured pork, beef, and chicken with a bunch of fresh veggies and sauces that is geared towards my eating style. It was so good! My friend got a wrap and was really excited about the taste. You can't go wrong with a side of fries either. First time here, and I'm blown away! We had the streetcart fries and streetcar wrap. Both were delicious, with very interesting sauces and large portions. That they have beer and cider is a big plus. Parking was easy and free, too. Highly recommend Spitz. read more

I want to personally thank David, from the Studio City location. I actually think I was the one who made a mistake when I ordered and hot sandwiches on accident instead of wraps. Although they were delicious, I was so excited about the amazing wraps. I had actually been saving this meal all week. I Love Spitz and it really is something I look forward to. So I called I. And explained my situation and it was rectified so wonderfully. He got me wraps with chicken that were phenomenal and didn't even charge me a cent. He made the customer feel like number 1. stopped by today to order take out. After i paid $14 for a wrap combo i sat down and waited for my food. While waiting at the bar i noticed they had one of my favorite beers in a can! i ordered the beer which is from a local brewery in a 16oz can. the bar tender brought the can and said it was $9!!!!! $9 for 1 beer.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! so all together my lunch was $23+ $2 tip. The food was ok. nothing special. definitely not worth 14 for a wrap and fried pita chips. the thing that sent me over the top was a $9 beer. The beer wasn't even on tap. I have bought the same beer in a 4 pack before and it is $11. UPDATE- After posting this i was offered a gift certificate to try Spitz again. The food was good. Service was good. I used to come to this place more often cause of the food taste good, now for some reason the food taste different than it use to be they might probably changed the chef and also the prices went up. We had the Street Doner w/ chicken and the Chicken Doquitos. Both were not worth returning for. The meat choices are beef-lamb, or dark meat chicken. If you don't like eating lamb then you're forced into the chicken, or going vegetarian. The spiced dark meat chicken was indistinguishable to my palette (dry and hard). The Doquitos were mega greasy and the chicken just tasted like a mystery spiced composited meat. They had a good beer selection, so that part is good. read more

Haven't been here in a while so I decided to drop by again. Things have definitely changed since I visited last time. Meat cooked differently. Bread changed. Fries changed. And even the SAUCE changed! It use to have feta in it and the streetcart fries use to come loaded.
