Decent poke spot but the scoops they give for the fishes are extremely small in portion. They also only have one size bowls but you can choose how many scoops per bowl. I believe 2 scoops is already around $11 and 3 scoops is $13.50 - which is a lot in comparison to the previous poke spot I went to. The place isn't bad. It is however kinda pricey for about $12-$14 for a small looking bowl. I've been to other places that tasted better for cheaper. They do offer a good amount of choices as well as salmon belly and octopus, which you don't see very often. The flavor isn't really there. Maybe I'll try a different combination next time. I know most people don't care for tailored ads on Instagram, but I'm so happy I got an ad for this place on my feed because I otherwise would never have known about this little treasure!! The food is always so fresh, and they give you so much that it makes it plenty worth the money. The workers are always very cheerful and smiley too, it's a very nice environment! I usually get two scoops of spicy tuna and a miso soup, and thats more than enough to fill me up! It's addicting even; I've found myself craving it every other day or so . If only there was a location just a bit closer to me, but for now I'll have to suck it up and make the drive over there. Spicy tuna didn't look like spicy tuna but it was two small scoops that I actually thought it was a topping of some sort. My actual toppings were a pinch of three items- crispy onion, seaweed salad, and I can't even tell you what the 3rd one was bc it was non-existent in my bowl. Taste, portion, the visuals were all off. In Covid era I assume everyone is somewhat struggling but this is really poorly executed. $15 dollars for this garbage, nah. read more

We called in our order to pick up when approaching Fort Lee. The person who took our order called back in 30 seconds to verify our order to make sure it was correct. When we got there, the place was very clean and the food look really good. The people behind the counter were very friendly and greeted us and were appreciative of our business. Just going to be brutally honest, because I'm a local and I want an excellent poke shop around my area. My first impression was that the restaurant has potential. The location is fantastic because the plaza on Lemoine Ave has a spacious parking lot and Fort Lee is a constant struggle in that department. The branding is simple and minimalistic, and the interior design is really well thought out. You guys did a great job at making a good impression based on aesthetics and what meets the eye. However, my turn-off was the quality of the food and the staff. Don't get me wrong, your staff were very polite which is always a must, but they seemed very untrained. The worker who prepped my bowl seemed dazed and confused. Again, it's nothing wrong to be new on the job, but your staff should be trained to deliver consistency because that's what matters the most. The same quality of poke bowls being put out every single day, every single week. The worker constantly had to check what the right ingredients were, and while doing so, seemed to be screwing up with the proportions of the dish. My bowl had onions and the worker literally scooped 1/2 tablespoon of diced onions. I could count all of the onions with my two bare hands. You see how ridiculous that sounds? Not to mention how I was gimped out of the other toppings as well. My bowl was literally 75% rice and 25% toppings. I barely had any sashimi to go with my poke that it felt like I was paying for white rice. My bowl was nothing of the likes of what was being advertised. There were barely any toppings that you could actually see the white rice on the bottom from a birds-eye view. Basically, the end product of my bowl was nothing similar to those that were being advertised because your staff did a poor job at making the poke bowl. Please train your staff better because these are the guys delivering your product to the consumers. Secondly, the quality of the food was very par. I eat a lot of sashimi. Even though I had a small scoop of tuna, I could tell that it wasn't the best tuna ever. It's passable to an untrained palate. The tuna was very bland and tasted watery, which are clear signs of cheap cuts or tuna that was frozen for a longer time that it should be. It was missing the buttery, umami flavor that I had almost expected for the suggested price point. Also, this may just be my opinion, but the condiments for the poke felt too creamy and thick. Traditional poke features soy sauce and sesame oil which are smooth, moist, low-viscosity condiments that brings almost a juicy texture towards the poke. Even all of these avant-garde poke restaurants that uses all of these experimentally new aiolis and mayos still bring the juicy, wet texture to the poke. My specific bowl just felt too thick and dry. The condiments could be better. Overall I had a pretty bad experience and kind of feel like I was scammed out of my $13. However, I'm not here to just troll and partake in schadenfreude. These are just my points of constructive criticism and my two cents on how to gain loyal regulars. I really had high hopes for this place and want it to succeed. I honestly won't be here anytime soon but I will probably check in maybe a few months from now where I hope your staff can prep me a properly made poke bowl. read more

This poke is delicious and fresh. I've been to many places where the fish isn't that fresh and the sauce is really overpowering, but the ahi tuna and salmon I had were both delicious. The non-fish options were also delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the tofu was, and the chicken was so tender and well seasoned. My only complaints are that they were a little skimpy with the fish, even though they gave plenty of chicken and tofu. I also wish the rice were seasoned. While it was perfectly cooked, it was definitely not sushi rice, which is what I am used to and prefer, though perhaps it isn't as authentic? I'm not sure. read more

Came here Sunday 4/22 for lunch, this was my very first poke bowl that I ordered- so I had no clue what I wanted. The girl was very helpful and told me what are popular picks. I was very happy with what I chose. And for lunch they have a lunch special 2 choices of fish and a side of miso soup.
