I have mixed reviews about this place because the location and the place itself is excellent. However, there aren't many lanes and the service isn't the best. We have visited several times, but most recently we went last Saturday. It was pretty busy, there was a soccer game that we were unaware of. We popped in at 5:30 before we went and got dinner within the area and good thing we did. We put our name in in hopes they wouldn't call us too soon, as we were meeting our friends at 7:30. They didn't text us until 7:40 so that was about a two hour wait. The food is really mediocre and the mixed drinks are somewhat overpriced, but it is a fun experience. Sometimes, SOMETIMES, the live music is good...and other times you wish you had ear plugs. read more

It is $19 and you play by the hour.you don't have to worry about paying every te you finish a game . It is the best place to go if you want to go bowling. I love it. It is awesome. You can not play anywhere else by the hour. I recommend it to everyone who want to play bowling and wants to have fun. I love splitvill better than any bowling place because you play by the hour and you play longer than any bowling place. I would recommend to all my friend it is the best bowling place around here. Do not plan any event here. The have horrible event planners. My fiancée planned a surprise 30th party here and got no direction from the staff. There was a big revolution soccer game and no one thought to inform my fiancée. He would have never planned it here if he had known. This led to my guests and myself sitting in 2 hours of traffic and half of the people didn't show because of the traffic and still got charged for all the guests. This was a huge oversight of the staff. Then they brought out all the food at 7 and literally 5 people were there. They did take the food back our and re delivered it around 8 when more guests were there. Also they gave us bbq chicken pizza when it should have been buffalo and the tenders were supposed to be half parmesan half buffalo and they did not provide any buffalo tenders. In order for the band to sing happy birthday you had to pay, which after what he spent on the party that should have been included. We had the private room off to side with 4 lanes but only 3 were working for about an hour. Long story short they are very disorganized and are not prepared to handle private parties. I booked my fiancée's surprise party at Kings in Dedham last year and they were fabulous. Book there, not here. Kings even gives you a bowling pin that people write on for a souvenir. read more

Have to say this was probably the worst service I received. I came in for dinner while I was working (party bus). I ordered a simple turkey club with fries. Jennifer P took my order then POOF she was gone. When food was ready she returned with my sandwich but did not have the fries. I had to tell her about the fries and she said she would get them. Finally the fries were brought over by someone else, not Jennifer. She was to busy talking to her friends. Also she forgot to give me silverware and never once came back to ask me how everything was or if I needed anything. I would understand a a mistake or two if they were busy, but the place was empty. Just really poor service I do not think I would ever go back. read more

if you use a credit/debit card at the bar check your statement. I've been here twice, and as far as the atmosphere goes it's generally a fun spot. Performers have been awesome, service is good. however, the reason I am writing this review- which I never do- is because both times I came here I noticed odd charges on my debit card statement. First time I bought 2 rounds of drinks on my card and closed the tab with each transaction. Each transaction appeared on my bank statement followed by a separate charge of $1. So, that's $2 total.. not a big deal so I overlooked it. And, I may add this was not a tip charge as I have worked in several restaurants and always tip in cash. I visited this location again last night. Bought three rounds of drinks- noticed three separate $1 charges, appearing after each transaction on my bank statement. Called today, spoke to a manager who said "When the bartenders open a tab, they put a $1 charge on it which is supposed to be removed. I'll have to talk to them about that." ... Manager was friendly and offered to return my $3, but I'm writing this due to the fact that this has happened both times I visited this establishment. $3- not a big deal. Five (3, this time. 2, last visit) charges which I did not solicit after two visits.. not okay. use cash or be sure to check your statement. read more

Very frustrated with splittsville. Tried to make a reservation for a lane earlier in the week and was told there were none available but it shouldn't be a problem for the time on Saturday. When I got there, there were two empty lanes but when I asked for a lane I was told they were not taking requests for bowling anymore. It was 5pm?!?! If you can make a reservation in advance, how do they cut off bowling by 5pm? read more

If you are looking to bowl, this would not be the place I would recommend since this is actually more of a large open bar (Howl at the Moon) than a bowling alley. The place only really has 6 maybe 8 lanes which are always booked and the place gets so crowded you could be waiting 3-4 hours for use of a lane for a 45 minute time limit. The bar portion which is Howl at the Moon, modeled after the same bar from downtown Boston, same concept, dueling pianos, song requests, dance floor etc. is okay and takes up all of the middle portion and most of this large interior. The place get packed with people and on Saturdays they charge a $5 cover charge. The dueling piano concept is cool at first, four person band playing any request for tips, reading lyrics off iPads and playing guitars and piano accompaniment. However as more and more crazy requests come in (Spice Girls, Sir mix a lot, Brittany??), it starts to sound horrible and gets old quick. The cool thing was the crowd is a mixed bag, young to old and the bar is huge here and every encounter I had with staff was friendly. Drinks are seriously watered down as expected and it gets so packed you cannot move or even hear yourself think. I saw some food orders coming across which looked like typical bar food. If you try to get a table here good luck since there looked to be about only 4 or 5 tables in the whole place. The whole bowling/bar concept sounds cool but if the bowling portion is lacking from a place called Splitsville, then why not scrap the bowling and just have the entire place be Howl at the Moon? Not sure I would return again and might have a hard time recommending the place. read more

I wasn't sure what to make of this place. I grew up in kind of grungy, tough looking bowling alleys with guys around with the "bowling gloves" that have no fingers and who call themselves "Ace" or "Shooter" (Think Uncle Buck). So the concept of a high-end bowling alley seems like an oxymoron. As far as continuing my own nostalgia this place hasn't lived up to my standard. However, there are some pros. It is sparkling clean, the atmosphere is bright and inviting. But it was hard to find the correct sized ball, there weren't a ton of lanes (even on a quiet day we waited at least half an hour.) The food was ok. I didn't really like the fact that the lanes were placed all throughout the place, you have to walk and weave and dodge people from place to place. I get what they are going for here but it looked a lot more like a restaurant that happened to have a few lanes instead of a bowling alley with a restaurant. Just not my thing. read more

Place is a rip-off and a dump. Waited an hour and a half to bowl and then when we were done with out 2 games in 30 minutes I asked to add another 2 games and was told there was a wait so they couldn't add anymore games. We got their after everyone in the 3 lanes next to us and finished our 2 games way before them and probably could've played another 2 games before all the others finished. People were just wasting time and doing nothing but weren't on a time limit so it was acceptable when I wanted to play and spend money. Bad business and poor customer service. read more

Poor management. The guy that greeted us was too busy talking to the females at bar. Since we were there with family, maybe they did not think we would be spending money. The waitress was so unavailable, I had to go searching for her to get waters for the kids. Very poorly run facility. I love bowling and love how close Splitsville is to me, but it is not the best bowling I've ever been to. The place itself is very nice, trendy, clean, and modern. However the staff can sometimes come across as snappy and it always takes forever to get a lane. The price also tends to be a bit overpriced just for bowling. Will NEVER come back to this place!!!!!! To start, my mother wanted to celebrate her birthday here. She had heard good things about Splitsville, and is an avid bowler. She wanted her family to have a good time, and called to get a quote on what it would cost for two lanes. The woman on the phone told her it would be $175 for two hours for both the lanes. Pretty expensive if you ask me, especially for a bowling alley in Foxboro for a MONDAY AFTERNOON from 3-5pm. My mom thought it was expensive, but decided to go ahead, she assumed it would be well worth it. Now, I just want to say, the service was fine. Our server was attentive, but that was about it. The food was ok. Nothing special. We did have a good time, until the bill came. For the two lanes, my mother was presented a $400 bill. For two hours, for two lanes. Is this place for real???!!!!!!???? Now, I realize this is a high end bowling alley. But in all seriousness, I have worked for a "high end" bowling alley before. And the cost to rent a lane was NOWHERE NEAR what they charged us. Not to mention the fact that when we mentioned the price quote that my mother had received over the phone, the manager explained there was nothing he could do. Total rip off. Nothing but a glorified bowling alley. I am VERY disappointed at the lack of communication, completely ridiculous pricing and absurd customer service skills that this place has. Not to mention the fact that it was dead while we were there. Who can afford to rent two lanes for two hours on a Monday for $400? It doesn't even cost that much in Boston. I am disgusted. We will NEVER be back. Not to mention the fact that my mother paid this price to celebrate her birthday with her family. Left a terrible taste in my mouth and you can be sure I will spread the word to other friends and family. It's a shame. You'd have a better time bar hopping at all of the other bars at Patriot Place. Came here yesterday for the indoor Irish Festival. Despite the overwhelming crowd, the staff was excellent. They did not expect so many people as the festival was moved inside because of the cold weather. Many of the staff came in early to help out. What a great effort by this manager and staff. I've been to most of the places up at patriot place and I'm not sure if people have lowered their expectations but, it seems acceptable for food to be undercooked, over-cooked, or not the way you want it. Jamie was amazing! She was a fantastic waitress, extremely knowledgable, very attentive, super helpful and really sweet! She even went as far to make sure that we got our lane after I had questioned the check in desk as to why people who came in after us were getting lanes before us. I probably wouldn't have been as annoyed as I was, but I had a 7, 5, and 3 year old who patiently sat through lunch and waited an hour and a half for a lane. My aggravation came as we kept getting skipped and 2 vacant lanes stayed unoccupied for over 20mins before they realized, so Jamie helped us get situated at one of them. I think the staff of 8 at the front desk needs to be much more efficient, instead of walking around in circles and making their guests wait even longer than acceptable. Thankfully Jamie really helped make it a nice experience for us! read more

We went for the first time recently because a friend of ours won a "party" and we were looking forward to going to Splittsville/Howl at the Moon for a fun evening with a group of friends. It was our understanding that he had actually won "something", but we quickly realized it's a marketing ploy to get the "winner" to bring in more people. We had about 14 people in our "party" and were given no designated "party area" or even tables. It was a free-for-all for folks as they arrived to find seating and some of our friends ended up standing all evening. The atmosphere was cut-throat for chairs because the "party" is actually just a general seating area (along with all of the other groups of "party winners".) Everyone felt like if we got up for 3 seconds, our chairs would be pulled from under us or we'd suddenly have strangers (from other "parties") sitting at our table with us! You can't "save" seats, but COME ON.... you shouldn't have to worry that if you head to the (lame) buffet or go to the bathroom that your chair will be gone or other people will have taken over your table. We all found the night to be very stressful. My husband went to use the bathroom and two other friends were at the buffet, that left me alone at a table for 4 and even a supervisor said I couldn't "save" seats! Seriously??!!! If you fill out a slip to win a "party" (we filled in the slips upon first entering), you will. Every one of us did (what are the odds?!!) But that's not what you get. The only benefit the "winner" gets is a "goody bag" in exchange for bringing in clientele to fill seats. If someone really wins a "party", it should mean they have won a designated space for them and their friends which isn't just general seating in a cut-throat atmosphere. Zero stars wasn't an option so I gave it a 1. We went yesterday with a hockey team. The place was not busy but we were told the 10 kids would have to wait 1 1/2 hrs to bowl. Okay we'll eat first. The waitress insisted on putting 20 families on one tab. I foumd out today that my card was charged twice. Waited over an hour for our food. 2hrs later kids still haven't bowled yet. Finally they gave us 2 lanes on separate ends splitting the kids up. The lane beside ours was open? They had two lanes reserved for a birthday party that didn't come for the 3 1/2-4 hours that we stayed. I guess that's why they charge so much for parties. They block the lanes off for the entire day before the party arrives. Too lazy to have to clean and re-set up I guess. We will never go back. Very poorly run and managed! read more

My wife and I came on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was great. We signed up to bowl and were told we had a 2 1/2 hour to three hour wait. So we ended up going to the bar to order food and drinks. We started out with the fried calamari. It was fried, but not greasy. It also had a sweet chili sauce glazed over the top. It was delicious. The beers were huge in reasonably priced. Our server Dana was very attentive and very pleasant. We would definitely recommend coming to splitsVille even just for the food and service! Happy bowling! read more

Guy outside Adam looks like he was plucked out of a comicon convention and the drinks were as strong as the crowd at a Columbus blue jackets game on a Tuesday night. My brother won a party here for his birthday. Part of their party package is discounts on prices of drinks. Well at the end of the party when we got the bill not a single drink was discounted and the tab came out to be over $400. The normal bowl drinks listed on the menu are originally $14 and the discounted price was supposed to be half that at $6 as well as a discount on beer. When we brought this up to the waitress she told us that there was a "special drink menu" for parties which we had never recieved. So as much fun as we had, we'll probably never host a gathering here ever again read more

Went to Splitsville for the first time last night. Probably the last time. The wait staff was not friendly at all. After paying $60 for two adults, 2 kids to bowl- really???, found out it was an hour wait. No problem, we were having dinner anyway. Big mistake. Waitress was rude, fries were cold, lettuce was brown. In his defense, manager did take salad off our bill after we complained. While we were eating, our lane opened up. We had a choice, we could move our food to the bowling lane, or be put to the bottom of the wait list. We chose to move. With no help at all, moved 4 meals plus drinks to the bowling lanes. Waiter came by the bowling lane and left our bill without saying a word. Maybe upset that we complained about the salad? Not once in the hour and 15 minutes while we were bowling did any member of the wait staff come by to see if we wanted anything else. We had to go to the front desk to ask for take out containers for leftover food and napkins. Maybe this is better on the weekends, drinking with friends? As for a family dinner/evening out. Way too expensive for what you get. Save your money- go to Norwood sport center lanes and a nice dinner out somewhere else. read more

Being that my 46th Birthday was on Saturday March 7th, I wanted to go out with my wife and another couple to Splitsville for a night of dinner and drinks and some fun. My wife called earlier in the day to try to reserve a table, but was very rudely told that we don't reserve table's it's was first come first serve. Upon arriving at 6 pm we noticed several upright tables in the bar area that had "reserved signs " on them. So we decided to look around to see if we could get a table, we found a table in the upper portion near where the smaller bar that had no chairs around it due to the table next to had taken all the chairs for their party, after several of the waitstaff had totally ignored us standing standing there looking very lost, we finally found the manager and he said that he didn't have any more chairs that he could bring out, normally I would have got his name, but out of sheer anger ,I neglected to get it, because it didn't seem like he cared at all. So my wife and I we took the $200 that we were going to spend at Splitsville and walked out the door to Bar Louie and had a great time. Bar Louie was packed, but the hostess was great in making sure we had someplace to sit right away. read more
