When I first went here, there were absolutely no reviews to this place but I decided why not let me try something new and uncharted before. The photos looked amazing so I just went in. I didn't realize that I came close to closing time, but the worker was so kind and so nice when I realize that I came in so late which was about 40 minutes before closing. She was so gracious about it, and while I was hurrying to eat, she came by and said that her manager is here and that the manager said that it was OK and to take my time. I still ate at the speed of light just so I could get out of there and not make them stay for too long, but I appreciated the kindness that they showed me. It was a brightly lit, clean location, no crazy vibes or anything, but just clean and simple, which was appreciated. For drinks, they have water and two other drinks available for free and it is self-serve. As for what I got, I didn't know what to get so I ended up getting a few things. I got the mackerel dumplings which were boiled, and I think I like them boiled more than any other way. 9/10. You have to actually like mackerel, which is a pretty fishy fish to enjoy this dish. I personally don't think it was that fishy compared to a grilled mackerel, but if you are sensitive to that kind of thing, maybe pick a different one. I got the wontons in a seaweed soup, which was quite delicious, Chinese broccoli and my favorite thing ever- the steamed fish filet. It was SO GOOD. I literally cannot wait to go back again, I believe that the steamed fish will be my hyper fixation meal for a while. Very flavorful, super soft, just everything that I absolutely love. I wish I could come here with more people just so I could have more things to eat, so I definitely brought all the food home and had a few meals out of it. I think that the price of the food is more than reasonable and the portions are generous, especially the boiled dumplings that I got. I can't wait to come back and try something new and get that fish again

I don't know how this place was open for a year with zero reviews. We found Spring Dumplings looking for Shanghai-style wontons -- the kind with the clear, lightly-seasoned broth and the dark green seaweed -- and we found exactly what we were looking for. Spring Dumplings is located on Valley Blvd, in the New Valley Plaza. This narrow shopping center is shoehorned between the large Empire Commercial Center (Banh Mi Che Cali , Shin Sen Gumi....) and the corner lot Lucky Plaza (McDonald's, Mr Dragon, Sam Woo BBQ....) New Valley Plaza is easy to miss; there's only one way in and one way out. The restaurant is easier to miss. It's not visible from Valley Blvd, and it's way in the back, away from Valley, next to Chubby Cattle. This is what we ordered: -- Pork with shepherd's purse wonton soup -- Scallion pancakes -- Garlic bok choy -- Mix sauce noodle w/ scallion oil -- Steamed sole fish Everything was well-prepared with a nice color. Other than the steamed fish, everything felt a tad restrained in the seasoning department, which is a good sign. Nothing felt like it overstayed their welcome on the palate (always better to add seasoning than wish the food wasn't so salty) so (theoretically) it's easy to eat a lot of each dish. The fish was flavored the strongest, with a flavorful soy-ginger sauce and was really good (beware of a few bones missed in the filleting) Overall we would go back there again. One weird omission on their menu was that they served XLB, but there weren't any pork xiaolongbao offered. On the menu, chicken XLB, shrimp & pork XLB, and crab roe & pork XLB, but normal pork XLB were absent, which is a shame because the pork fillings for the wontons were very good. The dining area is clean and well lit, and the service is pleasant. Spring Dumplings is definitely one of the places we'll keep in our Yelp to-go list

It's basically a Hong Kong cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are several locations, but I like the one in Rosemead the best. I've eaten here many times and never once had a bad experience. We arrived at 8:00 pm on Saturday. The place was empty, understandably they close at 9:00 pm. I ordered seafood chow mein (pan fried with gravy) and HK style sweet and sour pork ribs. Both did not disappoint. The latter comes with a bowl of rice. Really tasty pork ribs. Casual dining experience. Delicious food. Reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive staff. Credit cards accepted. Comfortable seatings. Bright lighting. Clean restrooms. Convenient parking.

Any of the sides that are included are good choices, you just may need to add a little flavor to the "chow mein" side dish. If you want a HK Western style plate, just know it's super simple food. I like to eat the toast with condensed milk. I would also stay away from the steak, as it tends to be too chewy and overcooked. Service is typical and fast. It can get busy on weekends during prime brunch time. Plenty of seating. Honestly brunch is so affordable. Those combos are good deals and the drinks are only a couple bucks additional. I recommend this place for simple Hong Kong brunch/breakfast.

Since it wasn't too crowded there were many seats available, and the service was top notch. The interior is very spacious, lots of seats with booths and also regular tables. The menu is a bit on the pricier side, but the portions are pretty big so if u come with a large group I would say it is pretty worth the price. we got the jeyuk bokkeum (spicy pork kimchi stirfry)! First time having this dish, and it was utterly delicious. The sliced pork belly was so yummy, loved that it was thinly sliced and the kimchi was so flavorful. This dish was soo good with rice. The sides here are also a little different than other Korean restraunts ive been to. they have this potato soy sauce dish and it was so good. I honestly am not a big fan of kimchi but loved their kimchi here. the kimchi was very fresh, crisp, and not too salty which I loved. all the workers here were very sweet and so nice and attentive. I think this place definitely deserves more love because the quality of the food and service is actually so amazing! the dish we got could've definitely been shared amongst 3-4 people and we paid around $50 which i think is pretty worth.

Brisket Seolleongtang - It was tasty, hearty, and refreshing. It does need salt since it was pretty plain, but personally I like it that way because I can adjust the saltiness to my own preference. (4.5/5) Galbi Seolleongtang - A must-get because the galbi was so tender and flavorful. Easily the best galbi I've had, hands down. (5/5) Overall, the service was really good and the food was solid. Loved both the sides and the food. Parking - Nice, empty lot right in front.

It wasn't busy at 5:30pm weekday, we got seated near the front middle where the utensils and staff station was located. There were some parts that looked messy and had cardboard boxes stacked up but overall the place looks pretty clean other than that. and my family ordered a couple dishes. The ones I think we really enjoyed were the braised pork belly, fried whole fish, and seafood hotpot. Unfortunately, the 3cup chicken wasn't so good, very little chicken, the fried pork chops were less than we remembered, the noodles were ok, a bit hard and dry, and green beans were ok but tasted a bit raw. Refillable drinks like milk tea are still my favorite part, keep them coming! Staff are around to help, it wasn't busy but the servers were busy.

This time my husband got the Granada which was recommended to us by Henry and I got my usual Legendary. However, I went for a second time yesterday and was deeply disappointed. The owner wasn't there and instead a younger girl took my order and prepared the food. Everything seemed well and fine until I got home, opened my patty melt and found not 1 but 2 long hairs in my sandwich! They were clearly her hairs since she was the only one who handled my food. I went back and returned everything. I didn't see a hair in my other sandwich but couldn't even eat it without thinking what could be in each bite. The same girl was there when I returned and a young guy. I spoke with the guy and he gave me a refund right away and apologized. The girl who had made my food was maybe 5 feet away and couldn't even turn around to look at me or apologize. Very disappointing since the owner seemed like a nice guy who probably works extremely hard to build and maintain his business, only to have it ruined by some employee who couldn't even care enough to take 5 sec to put on a hair net. Shame on her.
