One of the dishes I really like here is their Italian Style Grilled Pork Chop. You really don't see this dish at many other HK-style cafes, at least not around here. That's actually one of the reasons I like coming back for it. The pork chop is tender and flavorful, but the sauce is really what makes the dish for me. It has a nice sweet and sour taste, but it's very well balanced. Not too sweet, not too sour, and neither one takes over the whole dish. It goes really well with the pork chop and gives it that old-school HK cafe flavor. Definitely something a little different from the usual baked pork chop rice, curry, or black pepper dishes you see everywhere. Service here has always been good too. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they check on you without constantly coming over. Even when they're busy, service is still pretty solid. Parking is probably the only annoying part. They share the parking lot with another restaurant, so during weekend lunch time it can get pretty packed. You might have to circle around or wait for someone to leave. Just something to keep in mind if you're coming during the busy hours. Overall, Tasty Choice is a solid HK cafe and one of those places I'm happy to come back to. Specialty dishes are from inspired and rare flavors of Kaiping, a city in the Wuyi region of the Pearl River Delta. First time hearing about this city. Their popular dishes are Kaiping crystal dumplings, clay pot rice, congee, slow-simmered pork stomach, black chicken soup, fish paste-stuffed tofu dishes, and hand-shredded chicken. If so, I pray that the soup is hot enough to cook whatever left behind. Lol, does mebo really hate doing dishes? I see one time used everywhere. Mebo added some new drink. Carbonated drink tend to make me full, I'll drink it last. Would be nice to just have simple green tea with simple syrup. I personally can't drink milk. Mebo still need an ice dispenser. Tangerine and apple as fruit are interesting. I skip it cause I feel it's alot of work just to eat it. The staffs are constantly cleaning and filling up the items. The steamer is on! Honestly, I count the numbers of raw items in my bowl before the staff took it in to cook. I was curious if the cook unload some off.
