First time here I've always wanted to try this place and it did not disappoint. We got two pies, the grubby pie and lemon pepper pie. Our favorite was the grubby pie 100% we'd order again. I visited Square Pie Guys in Walnut Creek on May 2 around 5:30 PM. I had previously visited the Oakland location several months ago and remembered enjoying it. The pizza was decent, and the wings were excellent, so I was genuinely excited to try this location. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to my expectations. The pizza was okay, but the chicken was extremely salty and difficult to eat. It also didn't taste as fresh as I remembered from my previous experience. Considering how much I spent, I left feeling like it was a waste of money. I was really looking forward to the meal, which made the disappointment even greater. This may have just been an off day, but based on this experience, I probably won't be returning. I hope others have a better experience because I had high hopes going in. The service and energy were great.

We love Detroit Style Pizza!!! Honestly Square Pie Guys is one of the few pizza joints around here that actually offers something relatively close to the kind we could get in Michigan. The only downside for us is the price because it's still considered a relatively new trend here in the Bay Area, and the price reflects that. In my opinion $25-$30 for 4 slices is too expensive for pizza in our budget, so we sadly couldn't afford to get it as often as we'd like. But yesterday was the last day of their Buy One Get One Free deal, and we didn't wanna miss it! We ordered through the app, and I wish it was a little more flexible. They had some pre-set pizzas to choose from, but you couldn't modify them at all. For example, we don't like Hot Honey on pizza, but if a pre-set came with it, there was absolutely no option to remove it. That felt really inconvenient since we liked all the other toppings and just really wanted to remove literally one. Because of that, we ended up having to build our own pizzas, which honestly wasn't hard to do. With that said though, the confusing part that we found out later was that when you build your own pizza, the extra toppings apparently aren't included in the Buy One Get One Free deal. So we ended up paying full price for all the added toppings on both pizzas, which felt a little misleading and caught us by surprise when we saw the final total cost. That being said, the pizza itself was really yummy. We got a Pepperoni Pizza and another one with Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Marinated Bell Peppers, and Red Onion. Both were super delicious. I loved how fluffy the bread was while the bottom of it still had that crispy crunch. The cheese flavor really came through, and the toppings were super flavorful too. But at the end of the day, it's sadly still a little pricey for us to get regularly, but I really hope they bring back the Buy One Get One Free deal again sometime soon because we'd definitely order again.

One of my favorite pizza spots in WC, even though I'm not the biggest fan of Detroit style pizza their flavor combinations make the pizza amazing. The wings are hella good and the garlic fries are always on point. They don't have regular soda in the store but do carry craft soda and some beer. The service is always very friendly but I've only done take out so can't review for those eating there. The ambiance of the store is very clean and modern. I only saw one bathroom inside the store, with the sinks being outside of the actual bathroom. Overall have been back there multiple times and will continue to come back.

Square pie guys has some of the best crunchy crust and bottom. The flavor is also very good. We had the spicy pepperoni and it was covered with jalapeños and spicy vodka sauce. There's also outdoor seating, which is nice because you can have pets with you. They make it fresh so do you anticipate a 15-20 minute wait per pie

Really tasty Detroit-style pizza! Location is below an apartment complex in the corner with paid street, public parking nearby, and indoor and outdoor seating. I was able to schedule my order for a specific pick up time and the friendly team executed my 3 pizzas and wings right on the dot. My hubz was able to order a custom vegan pie without cheese, I got the Ellen Supreme and the lemon pepper wings. Everything was tasty - albeit kind of salty - crispy crust, cheese and ample toppings! Service was friendly and there was indoor and outdoor seating. Interior was modern and clean with gray and blue accents. I'd come back!

    Da Grubby Pie

Square Pie Guys is easily one of my favorite pizza spots. I ordered the "Da Grubby Pie" (limited edition*) which consisted of white sauce, pickled jalapeños, gochujang bbq chicken, green onions, sesame seeds, and topped with their alabama white sauce. The pie was perfectly cheese-y with some asian flavors (and a hint of spice). Also, don't forget to get their complementary sparkling water! Service was relatively quick. There is ample seating inside and outside of the restaurant. It is located under an apartment complex. Street parking only, can be somewhat difficult during peak hours.

This place tastes like what a true Detroit style pizza would taste like. The ingredients put into the pizza taste good quality and were balanced. Pepperoni was better than average. The texture was also something that I noticed was better than other detroit style pizzas Ive had. Nice crisp edges and not burnt and clean tasting. The middle was soft but not doughy. Wings were also solid. Crispy outside, juicy inside and good flavor and not greasy. The stand out to me was the ranch. It had a lemon zest to it and great on the wings. but it also great on the pizza! (Im from california dont hate me) Came here for an early lunch on Saturday and we were the only ones dining in. Staff was nice and helpful. Although they seem to be dealing with "new store" syndrome. Not 100% sure on certain ingredients. Took about 10ish minutes to get our pizza and shorter time for the wings. The restaurant is on the smaller side. Its clean and has a new store look. Basic decor with posters on the walls. A very casual spot for lunch or late night quick dinner. Parking can be hard to find since its next to bart.

Pizzatiers rejoice! The square pie guys are here! No need to drive thru the tunnel required. Quality is as expected- deep dish heaven. But wait, if you are a cheese purist you get an awesome deal in the form of cheesy bread. This $9 treasure is a proper cheese pizza served with a BOWL of marinara. I said what i said. We also had the everything pie and I am now in love. Lots of seating available. Just Try it

Heard a lot of hype from my friend who is from Detroit so I had to try it. Got it delivered earlier this week and with the classic cheese. I was hoping for something with more flavor. It was good but I wasn't blown away like I thought I would be. Crust was good but the cheese and sauce were nothing special. Will probably give it another go down the road but didn't live up to the hype for me.

Got the mushroom pizza--loaded with cheese and big mushroom chunks. Quality felt noticeably better than usual. I only had one and a half slices and was already full They have both indoor and outdoor seating; we chose outside so the kids could make a mess without stress

Wow, that was extremely impressive and tasty. We ordered the fried Brussels and the P-Lo vodka sauce Sausage pizza. The quality was amazing. The portion for two people was great. Will definitely come back. Unique beverage offerings. Service was excellent. Very bright interior.

I really enjoyed their pizza dishes- the crust is fresh, fluffy, yet perfectly crispy. the toppings weren't too complicated- it was just delicious, simple food. I would also say that the price points weren't too bad at all- the food and the prices were pretty aligned. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and decor, however I wasn't a fan of how they played nightclub/dancing music- which made it all that much louder and difficult to talk. I will also say that the service was very good- considering that it was very crowded at the time, however I had an odd experience with a hostess. I made a reservation in advance to celebrate my mom's birthday- when my family arrived, we were quite literally ignored by the hostess for about 10 minutes. She looked at us, and said "I will be right with you", only to come back 7 more times and ignore us again. She then made us wait 20 minutes into our reservation because another table wasn't finished with their meal. I initially didn't think anything of it (after all, it was a busy night)- until another group of white women who had made a reservation were immediately attended to by this hostess, and were given a table at a significantly better lit area. My indian family was made to sit at the corner of the restaurant, by the bathrooms. However I want to keep in mind that maybe it was a bad day, and the rest of the staff were very polite to us.
