This was one of the tastiest square pies I've had! I think this might've been called the Brooklyn? Can't remember... especially once it was in my mouth. It's probably one of the best 20 dollar purchases I've ever had! However, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've had... and what keeps us from going back... after being seated we had to wait almost an hour for pizza. The girl employee tried to encourage us to order appetizers or drinks (likely cause she knew there would be a wait...) but walking in all we saw was one party of 8 and just us. We remained patient as we saw they also took phone orders and only saw one guy making pizzas and another young man carrying flour... but two parties that arrived later complained about the wait and said they were going to leave and got served pizzas before us... it also sucked because we saw people order pizzas to go 20 mins after we ordered our pizza get frustrated with their standing waits get their pizza before us. It was especially frustrating cause when they opened their box to check their pizza it was literally the pizza we ordered. Payment process was also not organized Maybe it was an atypical day... Pizza was great, but hope they improve their service!

I love square pie! Their sauce is unreal and is in perfect proportion with the cheese. And I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's a favorite of my 90 year old grandmother and queen. She has a hard time chewing but their Sicilian is nice and fluffy. (Close seconds for her are Angelo's Sicilian and la Rosa...Emmy squared can be hit or miss on how well done it is.)

Where's the cheese? And why is that one part burnt like someone put out a cigarette on it?

This pizza is so bad I stopped and ate a salad instead. It's easily the 3-5 worst pizza of my life...I am truly shocked and taken aback by how bad it is versus the ratings.

My, My, My the pizza was sooo good!! I got every bit of my 20.00 worth at square pie! So I was in the area for work and was looking for something quick to pick up for lunch and I saw square pie. I ordered online and went in the store about 15 minutes later and it was ready when I arrived. I ordered the white pizza and decided to add pepperoni for some razzle dazzle! The first bite was yum at first bite! The dough was light crispy and soft at the same time...yea I don't know how they did it either....and the cheese was flavorful and garlicky, it didn't need nothing added to this pizza it was perfect just the way it was, oh and the pepperoni cups was chef's kiss! What more can I say this pizza was delightful by far one of the best pizza I had. Customer service was also great. I definetly look forward to returning!

Great neighborhood gem! The staff was very helpful and accommodating of my friend and I requesting to get the speciality pizzas without various meats. We got the MVP and white sausage (both without meat) and they were awesome! The MVP is some of the best pizza I've had, the vodka sauce and flavors are amazing. The atmosphere is very cozy. It is also a byob.

My little baby and I had been working our asses off, so wanted a day to just watch movies and demolish a pizza. The soul just needs a full pig out day every now and then. We had our heart set on Angelo's Pizzeria, but after waiting in a line stretching the block we were told "we aren't making any more pizzas." A crushing blow to the heart, mind, and soul. I was pouting like an 8 year old on the walk back, when my baby said "We could try Square Pie, it's new and supposed to be really good!" I was still crushed from the Angelo's defeat and responded with a "yeah, whatever." She ordered a Large Red pie with Pepperoni on top, and when I opened the box I was in disbelief. It looked SO good. Like an angel spreading its wings. It's a thick square pizza doused in red sauce, mozzarella, topped with perfectly crisped pepperonis and has an elite crunch on the crust. It tasted even better than it looked. We sat there watching White Chicks, ripping through this pizza slice by slice, brick by brick. It was sensational and everything I could have asked for on a pig out day. Sometimes, God closes the Angelos door and opens the Square Pie window. You gotta keep the faith. Came here after drinking coffee in the area and we were starving for lunch. The place is quite cold, despite the double doors. Service is super friendly and prompt. I can imagine it would be really cute at night with the intimate seating and lighting. During the day it's just okay, haha. We ordered a small red pie and a small white. It took a little longer than expected to come out, despite how empty it was, but it was worth the wait. The crust is super crispy and had a great flavor. We liked the red over the white spinach pie, the white was a tad bland for us.

Ordered on Uber eats. They partner with a third party to actually deliver. Arrived quickly. Very thick pizza with soft crust and was honestly some of best pizza I have had.

Amongst three, we shared the Caesar Salad and two small pizzas - one red sauce and one white sauce pie. The Caesar Salad was a bit salty in my opinion but the garlic and pepper helped offset the creaminess/heaviness one might feel. The dough was out of this world - having tastes of an everything bagel seasoning with the texture of a ciabatta, so you'll end up finishing every bite (no crusts left behind)! I'd love to come again and try their other specialty pies.

Sometimes 5 stars just isn't enough! So is the case for the experience I had this weekend at Square Pie. A quiet Sunday lunch with a bottle of cabernet, two "small" pizzas, and a perfect house salad. I'll get into the food, of course, but more important to me is the fact that I came here and felt immediately initiated into the Square Pie family: literally. Owner/chef Giuliano was tucked away in the kitchen while his dad served my boyfriend and I with the kind of immediate care and welcoming nature you can only find in an Italian joint run by native South Philadelphians. We had made plans to come here as an extra special post-half marathon meal and got so much more than we bargained for at every level. As for the food, the pepperoni pizza is the best pizza I've had in Philadelphia and it's not close. Pardon my french, but I am Philly pizza's number one shit talker. I love Pizzata and I love Paulie Gee's and a few of the other spots that specialize in specific styles, but I overwhelmingly find Philly's pizza scene to be...unfortunate. Cue the Shrek credits because I am now a believer. The cup and char pepperoni holds honey and oily perfection in every bite, with a crust that melts in your mouth. Sauce matches sweetness to acidity and isn't heavy handed. Or maybe it's that everything is a little heavy handed and that's what makes it magical? Who cares. I tried to savor every bite but I am already daydreaming about the next time I can drink wine and eat this pizza. The romaine salad was a recommendation and shouldn't be skipped! Roasted tomatoes bring it all together but the red wine vinaigrette and jelly yolk boiled egg make it pack extra punch. The pizza on special was amazing as well - covered in brussels and fontina and caramelized onions. They post their special pies on Instagram and I think they change weeklyish. Delivery is available on Slice and Uber Eats, something I know I'll be taking advantage of in the near future. That being said, it's hard to replicate the fun of dining in. Square Pie has updated their hours so if it's been a minute, grab a bottle of wine and settle in. Pizza cheers!

Simply incredible. Honestly we came here because Angelos was closed and what a find this place was. I'm a huge fan of square pies and this place more than delivers. The crust was so light and airy with great flavor and seasoning. We got half pepperoni and half sausage but I don't think it matters what toppings you get! Can't wait to go back! It takes around 25-30 minutes to make but well worth the wait.

12x12 sausage pizza for $23.00. Delicious!

You can subtly taste the sesame in each bite. Sometimes you'll crunch on a small sesame seed in between bites, surprising you with its toasty flavors. The meat - pause - is cooked so well with the Cooper Sharp cheese, you get a few burnt ends which provides a nice crunch every now and then. The meat itself is seasoned well, but doesn't overpower all the other aspects of the sandwich. It does its job, sometimes singing a split during the song but never out performing the rest of the band members. The cheese - the Cooper Sharp they suggest to go with their cheesesteak is deliciously intentional. No wiz here, which is both a positive and a negative but man does the cheese work well with the meat. It cuts through but doesn't work too hard in the symphony of the sandwich. It sings along harmoniously with the onions, bread, and meat. The service was fast and quick. Very kind at the counter. Angelos is fast paced, when you're ready type your name and number at the counter, let them know your order and wait a couple minutes. It's fast paced, loud, and energetic. Truly nothing less than what I thought the City of Brotherly Love would provide. 5/5 great experience,

While I might choose another place for takeout, when the goal is a night of pizza, wine, great atmosphere, and authentic neighborhood vibes, this is usually where we end up. The space is bright, industrial, airy, and thoughtfully designed but unforced. White walls, warm wood, considered lighting, and a floor plan with real breathing room. The vibe recalls Bucktown, Wicker Park, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint: design-forward but genuinely local. There's a great bar, and booths near the kitchen with glass windows that let you watch the staff. Our three-year-old was mesmerized, and the staff was warm and playful, smiling and waving while they cooked. A small detail, but memorable. The crowd feels local. Good music, friendly people, hip but never pretentious. It's just a fun place to be with great service, too. The food is outstanding. We usually order the chicories caesar with grana padano and breadcrumbs, and the lettuce salad with shaved vegetables and creamy oregano dressing. For pizza, we love the arrabbiata (the Angry pie) and tomato pie with sausage and pickled chilies. My wife enjoys the ice cream. A note on bringing kids: I don't think this is a family restaurant, but if your kids are curious and well-behaved, it's absolutely worth bringing them earlier in the evening. We've gone around 4:30 or 5:00 on weekends and always felt comfortable. One time, our daughter had a full meltdown, and we were mortified, but the staff couldn't have been cooler. They packed everything to go, kindly and without any judgment. That kind of grace is hard to fake, and it genuinely stuck with us. Pricing is fair for the quality of the food and the experience. Places like this can seem overrated or overpriced, but this one doesn't. It offers real value for a memorable night out. The whole restaurant feels like a microcosm of Philadelphia's progressive, creative side. There's real ambition behind it, but it still feels human and grounded, nothing sterile, nothing corporate, nothing over-engineered. Just smart people building a cool neighborhood place that others actually want to spend time in. Oh, and make a reservation. Great spot, Joe. We'll be back soon. Thank you!

I love that the menu is on the shorter side and they rotate the pizza offerings, so even if you're visiting on a regular basis, you'll always be able to try something new. Additionally, when a menu is only about 2 pages, you know everything on those two pages is top notch, as was the case at Pizzeria Beddia. This evening we got the meatballs (didn't take a photo, was too excited, but they were HUGE and excellent) and the beef, pork and veal balls with a rich red sauce was outstanding. Came in an order of 2 but one was plenty for each of us. The Pizza we got had potatoes on it, and we added sausage per the servers recommendation, and it was cooked perfectly and all of the flavors blended so well together. We are so lucky to have an amazing (and nationally recognized!) pizza spot in the neighborhood and it's always nice when you can walk in without a reservation from time to time.

The polite smile that says "it's fine" while the eyes say "it is absolutely not." Totally understandable. No one loves a near-close order. I even acknowledged it out loud--apologized, explained we weren't from the area, and that we were just trying to grab a quick bite because it was one of the few places still open. She said it was okay. Her face said otherwise. Fair enough. Here's where it turned around. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and legitimately impressive. Not "good for late night" good--just plain good. Every bite was fresh, the ingredients tasted clean, and the pizza clearly hadn't been rushed or phoned in despite the timing. Hunger probably helped, but even factoring that out, this was a standout. Honestly, I was kicking myself for not ordering an extra one to go before leaving the city. That's how good it was. We did try to get drinks, but were told the soda machine was down. The nozzles were off, so I'm guessing it was a cleaning/end-of-night thing. I won't ding them for it--though let's be real, tossing nozzles in sanitizer isn't exactly a marathon. Still, not a deal-breaker. Restaurant was clean, but of course, they were near closing. I tipped her a few bucks for staying late, and left genuinely satisfied. Bottom line: the food carried this experience completely. If you're visiting Philadelphia and need a reliable, fresh, late-night bite, &Pizza is absolutely worth the stop. Sometimes the places you expect the least end up delivering the most. I plan to 100000% return (and it'll probably be near closing time again, too)

The menu includes neopolitan pizzas (12" feeding 1-2 people) and metro pizzas (28" feeding 3-4 people). They make pizzas, calzones, antipasti, and salads. I chose a Neapolitan-style pepperoni pizza consisting of pepperoni, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh oregano. It was quite filling and absolutely delicious! They also sell pizza kits so that you can make your own pizza at home. Pizzeria Vetri was created to celebrate the art of authentic pizza making. They aimed to create simple food made exactly the right way using the best and freshest ingredients served in a space where all are welcome. You can visit the Pizzeria Vetri website (https://www.pizzeriavetri.com) to order online, see menus, details about all four locations as well as to learn about classes, hosting events, and catering options. You can sign up for PV Perks at https://www.pizzeriavetri.com/pv-perks. You earn 25 points for signing up and one point for every dollar spent. You receive a $5 discount for every 50 points redeemed. They also have Happy Hour specials. I certainly enjoyed the experience and would go back again iid in the area.

What a cute little restaurant. We came here for lunch and were promptly seated. Service was nice…read moreand courteous. They have an open kitchen so you can see pizzas being made in front of you. A little pricey but the sourdough pizzas are delicious. Loved the dough. They have a nice salad menu as well. We tried the butternut squash salad and it was pretty good. Definitely recommend.
