In order to properly communicate opinion of this place, I must tell the events in the order that they occurred. Event 1) we hiked gods thumb and decided at the top that we would eat here. 2) we, a group of weary travelers, arrive at Squatchsami and my boyfriend unknowingly orders a cup of clam chowder. 3) I taste a single spoonful of the clam chowder. I shit you not it was like the scene from ratatouille where the fireworks go off in his head. 4) I calmly get up and SPRINT ‍ to the food truck and order myself the largest tub of chowder money can buy. 5) I sit here now at home, dreading the day when I take my last bite of leftover soup, but thankful for whatever good karma I had that let me try this chowder. read more

We stopped in to Beachcrest Brewing Co. and enjoyed Squatchsami while we were there. The chicken strips were cooked perfectly and so flavorful. Staff was super friendly as well. Definitely recommend! read more

Amazing food! Great service! The sandwiches and clam chowder were the best I've ever had.

I have eaten from their cart twice. It is some of the best food that I have eaten at the coast. Their food is better than some of the fancier sit down restaurants. Their chicken and waffles are amazing. The waffles are tender in the inside with a crunchy exterior, which is very hard to do. The chicken has just the right amount of crunch while still maintaining a juicy interior. The fish and chips are outstanding. I could not stop eating . Fish was light and flaky and the batter did not overwhelm the fish. Most fish and chip places you have to search for the fish because they have over battered them. Not here. The owners are very welcoming. I can't wait to eat there again. read more

Read in PDX Eater this is one of the best fish and chips on the Oregon Coast. Truer words were never said. Beer battered halibut and rosemary fries were delish! The only thing missing was a side of cholesterol medication. :) The hubs had the Chix n' Waffle. He practically licked the inside of the container. First time in Oregon on the coast and was in the mood for a clam chowder bowl. This is what I call good food porn. The bread bowls were the perfect size to actually eat, and the soup was so delightful. My only complaint, I wanted more of that soup. So good on a cold night. The bread was soft and chewy and the chowder rich and chunky. We had the waffle apple crunch for dessert and it was melt in your mouth good. Great for two people, tasted like apple crisp and waffles. Not a whole lot of choices but it works if you are in the mood for either fish or chicken. We had the cod and rosemary fries. The fish was beautifully battered and crisp. Fish tasted fresh. They use fresh rosemary. Fries were so so as I'm not thin fry gal. The clam chowder was a step above most local places. Prices are on the higher side. The service was great! read more

Just had a fantastic lunch at SQUATCHSAMI by Beachcrest Brewing in Lincoln City. I sometimes doubt food truck cuisine but this was the best! I had the halibut fish and chips...fish was done perfectly ~ outer batter was crispy without a hint of oil ~ the fries were hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside...YUM Our friend had the chicken and waffle with bacon butter and maple syrup. He wasn't too sure about the combination, but in the end, finished it all with a smile. I did get a taste of the waffle and bacon butter....I am putting the dish on my wish list for next time! read more

Excellent food and big portions ~ trusted them in the recommendations and it was worth it. Delicious rosemary fries and outside of Beachcreat brewery made it ideal to do a beer flight in a beautiful atmosphere with some delicious food as well as service. Ever since we moved to town a year and a half ago, I've heard nothing but rave reviews about Squatchsami. Today, I finally got to try it and it certainly lived up to its reputation! My daughter and I have taste-tested Clam Chowder all up and down the coast. This, by far, is my absolute favorite. Great flavor and super chunky with lots of clams and potatoes. I'm so glad I brought a quart home! The Chix & Waffles was another winner. Crispy Chicken, perfectly cooked waffle, crumbled bacon bits, topped w/maple syrup. Everything was so tasty and, even though I couldn't see it behind her mask, I felt I was getting service with a smile from the friendly lady who took our order. read more
