What is on the kids menu? I see all the options for adults but nothing for kid options.

They’re able to adjust any portion for kids so tinder’s, etc can be made in a size for children. They don’t specifically list a kids menu but are able to adjust for you.

Does it smell fishy? I'm with someone who cannot stand the smell of seafood (like raw shrimp, briny fish, etc) so I just want to make sure it smells okay.

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. The food was okay, though hugely overpriced for what we got. The service sucked. We weren't able to get seating outside, so we had to sit in the bar area. The "waiter" (i.e. bartender) took forever to bring us menus, plates, silverware, etc. Took even longer to take our orders. And I watched him across the room...he wasn't busy. When I ordered my shrimp basket, he told me it came with a vegetable medley. I told him I didn't really want that. He told me, "Well, that's what it comes with." And he turned away to take my husband's order. RUDE!! Waiters should ALWAYS offer different alternatives! The food was not hot when it finally arrived, and the portions were small. He stopped by a few times to ask if we needed soda refills, but otherwise did not waste any more time on us. He didn't even ask if we'd like dessert. He just dropped the bill on the table and walked away. When you add that to the fact that they deliberately add an extra surcharge to your bill to cover the cooks/dishwashers' wages because they're too cheap to pay them a decent wage...no, we will NEVER be returning to SquidLips! $95 for three small tepid meals that didn't even include sides we liked? Great! Love that they are in the old Conchy Joe's location and saved the building. It is a fun building. Has some character which really lacks in this area. Clams as appetizers were excellent. We had a problem that the pipes above us were leaking and we were getting rained on!. The manager addressed it, (the servers appeared to not know how to handle)moved us, however our server abandoned us. They were busy, but it was something that he needed to manage. Either give us to the server in the seating area or remember that we moved. He literally never came back and then didn't acknowledge it or apologize or offer a free dessert when we insisted that he return. It is all still a new change, but with a few tweaks to polish their act, it is a great outing. read more

I visited Squid Lips in Melbourne on a Sunday evening with my daughter. We sat on the beach which was a nice atmosphere on the water and my daughter enjoyed playing in the clean white sand. Our server, "Sily Lily" was lovely. My daughter was tickled to see she had the same name as her. Lily gave us great service and was patient and friendly. We enjoyed the Smoked Fish Dip which came with plenty of flavor and crackers. I got the Oak Grilled Fish Sandwich with blackened salmon. It was AMAZING, I will be ordering again. My daughter also enjoyed her meal, she ate all of it. If you're a non-smoker and want to sit on the patio don't go to Squid Lips, establishment's management doesn't care, if the table next to you engulfs you in their toxic vapor smoke, management reply, "it's outside you'll have to deal with it" was basically what he told me. Bull shit, I don't have to be subjected to someone's second-hand toxic bad habit. SQUID LIPS YOU LOST OUR BUSINESS, and I encourage other non-smokers to complain about the toxic patio smoke. I was visiting for a short time, this is one of the restaurants that was recommended to me. I wound up eating there twice - the brunch was very good, I would have said it was overpriced but we had a BOGO 1/2 off coupon which made it well worth it, I liked the Egg Benedict station the best. I also had the fish special one night, I believe it was double portion because the quantity was huge! It was also very, very good. Honestly, I only dinged it one star because I ate outside to enjoy the weather and water, and apparently you can still smoke there. Not a fan of that, I wound up going back inside. read more

We have been here several times with the family and the food is OK at best. The kids like being outside and by the water, so on a weekend afternoon its good for that. The service is usually pretty good, but this last time was not. We were ignored by the hostess for the longest time and she practically slammed our silverware and menus on the table, the food took forever, and we were constantly out of drinks. The worst service I have ever had in my life. The waiter had to be on drugs to be that dense. Never asked if we wanted refills, gave a sorry excuse and blamed the bartender when my wife asked where the lemons she asked for were. All the manager did was say he would speak to the waiter later. I've had 100 times better service and food at a similar place called Alabama Jacks on Card Sound Rd on the way to key largo. The owner needs to take a trip and find out what a good restaurant is. read more

I came in at 11am on Sunday to watch the World Cup and to have lunch. There was not ONE single person in the inside bar. I asked the bar tender if he would please change the channel on one of the TVs. He said "no, not right now". He then preceded to tell us that he wouldn't change the channel because "everyone else would want him to change the channel to suit their needs". Ummmm we were the ONLY ones there. Met my daughter and son-in-law for lunch today.... we came from Ft. Pierce and they came from Orlando.... glad we did.... I had fish, my wife had chicken - both were breaded in exact same batter - very, very heavy. So heavy I really couldn't taste fish. The dipping sauces were straight out of a Kraft bottle from supermarket - not good or even appealing. Chicken was scraps & not real chicken chunks or tenders - disgusting. I've given squidlips chance after chance and they've failed every time. Friday night was their last chance for me. The food was bland and forgettable, as usual. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed, even though it appeared to be a lot of them there. The drinks are pointless, with minimal alcohol. Not worth the time or money. I don't even know what to say. This mac and cheese with the touch of lobster and shrimp changed my life. Actually unbelievable. Best meal I've had in a very long time. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The only things that could have made the experience better were that our table was a little sticky and there was a slightly funky smell inside the restaurant. Aside from that, the service and food were great, and we appreciated Jaime taking such good care of us.
