I have typically reserved this place only for when I want Thai food, but I'm feeling lazy, since it's right next to my apartment. HOWEVER, I noticed that the ownership has changed, so I thought I would give it another try. I'm glad I did! My number one qualm with Sri-Thai was the peanut sauce. It used to be lackluster and flavorless, but the peanut sauce I received on my last visit was delicious! I'm also a big fan of their Tom Yum soup and the Panang Curry. As far as ambiance? This restaurant is a very small, cramped hole in the wall and if I'm feeling like dining in, I will go somewhere a little more comfortable, but for take out, its great. Had lunch here with coworkers and it was an alright experience. We didn't have to wait to be seated and we got complimentary soup, who doesn't like free food? I ordered the Pad Thai and my coworkers got #10. My Pad Thai came literally two minutes after ordering, which made us all feel like it was microwaved. My coworkers dishes came shortly after. I didn't enjoy the Pad Thai as much, noodles were a little hard and it tasted too saucey for me. The portion was generous though! My coworkers both enjoyed their dishes. Like all good things must come to an end. So did our love for Sri-Thai. Sadly recently Feb 2023, the restaurant has changed ownership. I gave it a try anyways as i became aware of the fact at time of pickup otherwise i usually like to try things after teething problems are over and some good reviews online. Anyhow, i ordered yellow chicken curry, wonton soup and pad see ew. The meat was rubbery in all the dishes. The meat that was supposed to be inside the wonton was floating outside the wrappers. The stock of the soup tasted like it came from a can, probably some other things too. Will look for a different Thai restaurant next time. This was a slow night, don't want to find what is delivered on a busy friday night. read more

My parents and sisters love Sri Thai. The issue is that they live on Maui. Whenever they visit us in the bay, they always want to eat one meal at Sri Thai. My parents visited us for three days. It was a very short visit before they flew to Las Vegas; but, I was so excited they visited us this time. Lol. My parents love the duck dish here. Not very many restaurants sell that on Maui. Honestly, I can think of two. They rave that the duck is quite meaty and not mostly bones at Sri Thai. They mentioned it's "not as good as before"; but, still enjoyed it. For dessert, they wanted mango, sweet sticky rice, and vanilla ice cream. Most restaurants just have the sticky rice and mango. This dessert hit the spot! We haven't been here in such a long time and were craving the basil chicken. What we didn't realize is that we walked in a few minutes before closing (I hate doing this) but we were seated promptly so decided to go ahead and order a quick bite so we wouldn't take much time. I had a great experience here with my big order. I loved the Tom yum soup, it had a lot of mushrooms and chicken. The pad Thai was really good, and they respect the spicy level. Medium spicy was a true medium, you can feel the heat but it was still bearable to eat. The yellow chicken curry was very flavorful, and the quantities for all the dishes were huge. I went to Sri-Thai for lunch while in the area. I ordered the Basil Beef and asked it be made extra spicy. I went inside and ordered my food for pick up while I went to the Jamba Juice next door to order a drink. The staff was extremely pleasant and the restaurant was very clean. When I got my order I was pleasantly surprised to see it was packed with rice, a side salad, and an orange slice. The meat was cooked great, seasoned well, and the vegetables were nice and crunchy. We have frequented Sri Thai and done dozens of to-go orders and Door Dash since we moved to the area 13 years ago. I do think the food is not quite as good as it used to be, and the Door Dash prices and menu items has recently gone up. I wouldn't have a problem with it, but the food used to be really affordable for our family of 6 and super delicious. I couldn't believe, the amount of small flies/ fruit flies whatever they were they had LEGS. Clean your kitchen!! I was going to feed my baby this, I felt so sick to my stomach. So good! I was so happy to see that this place closed at 9:30 because most Thai or Burmese restaurants were closed at 8. I placed my order through the phone and at first I didn't know what to get. I have my usuals but I feel like in any restaurant they must have a popular dish that is unique in taste. So I asked the employer on the phone what's popular and she gave me a bunch of options of some popular dishes. I ended up ordering chicken cashew, beef basil, shrimp curry, vegetable fried rice, and pad kee mao. I was not expecting to have 2 plates worth of my order because it was that good. The fried rice with chicken cashew was a big hit for me. I loved the chicken cashew and that was my first time trying it. I orderd go, and got the food back home, hoping to have all the dishes I ordered ( I did not count the dishes when I left the restaurant), but to my surprise, I was missing one dish. My Husband and I dined here on Saturday evening and was surprised to see it practically empty given the location.
