This place is great for a slow morning. The restaurant has a nice home feel to it. The food was good. I order the neutral waffle and I wouldn't do that again. They dumped the Nutella instead of drizzling it. My eggs and bacon were cooked very well and were my favorite part. They also gave us a birthday pancake to celebrate, and it was such a sweet gesture!

One of our go to places for a quick breakfast. The decor is nothing special but so far the service has always been on point. Cups are never empty and the portions are decent. It's basic breakfast which have been consistent. The prices are good for the meal. It has a nice diner feel to it and it is comfortable.

Older place but clean and organized. A wonderful smell of pancakes as you walk in. Seated right away in a half full dining room, eclectic crowd much usually means good food. Server was pleasant and timely. I ordered the cowboy omelet that comes with exceptional shredded hash brown, and your choice of toast. My wife had the short stack with a side of bacon and hash browns. Both meals were very good and a standard diner fare done very well. I was very impressed with the cook on the hash brown; crispy on the surface but soft on the inside. Most places overcook them but these were the star of the show. One item could be improved and that is the temperature of the milk. I ordered a glass of milk and it was just cool, almost room temp when it should be very cold. Overall, we will definitely come back here.

My daughter and I were craving some pancakes, I found this place on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. We walked in around 12:15pm. There was a short line, and everyone was seated within 3 minutes... except us. The woman at the hostess stand told me she would clean a table for us and be right back. Well, I continued to stand there and wait another 15 minutes, she never came back. I counted 7 empty tables, so I was confused why we were still standing and waiting. An elderly couple walked in the door and a server immediately came right up and seated them right away. Then another server noticed us, came up and asked if we were still waiting to be seated and I said "yes". She walked us to a table and wiped it down and put our menus on the table, she told us our server would be with us shortly. 5 minutes later, our server came over and took our drink orders. She came back with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order, we told her just another minute we would be ready... Well, she literally never came back. Another server kept walking by our table and 15 minutes later, she finally realized we still hadn't ordered and said she would take over our table. She was nice and friendly. Our pancakes came out within 10 minutes. My daughters eggs and bacon were cold, but the pancakes were hot, fresh, and delicious. The syrup was also hot which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the pancakes, they were thick, fluffy, and really tasted unique. The interior of the restaurant had a down-home country feel. I did feel it was a little unclean though. Our table was a little sticky, there were crumbs in my booth, and the floor was dirty. Overall, our second server was friendly and very prompt. We spent over an hour here, and 45 minutes of that was just waiting, which was frustrating when we were so hungry. I cannot recommend, but think you should try it out for yourself. Maybe you'll have a better experience than we did.

We had been thinking about going here for a while and finally tried it out today. We didn't have to wait to be seated but we were a bit early (9 AM-ish), I'm not sure if they are busier later in the day. Their menu is quite large! They have a wide assortment of breakfast items as well as sandwiches and regular lunch dishes. As others have noted, the coffee doesn't taste particularly good. I don't expect much at a breakfast restaurant but I wish they would upgrade it to better-tasting coffee at the very least. I ordered the Stacks Benedict, two poached eggs with spinach, grilled tomato, avacodo on an English muffin. It was good, it was cooked perfectly and held together until you cut into it. I would have liked some additional seasoning it seemed like if some seasoning was added it would be a great dish. My wife had their crepes and really liked it. It looked good, I may have to try that next time. The service was outstanding, you really felt welcome and we never had to wait on refills or anything else. The server went above and beyond to take care of us.

Of course I had to try since it was new! Was delayed in getting there but finally made it.. ! It is cafe/diner style very casual environment.. I ordered the cowboy omelet with toast and side of sausage gravy .. the gravy was a bit salty for my liking but all and all everything was good .. no issues .. I can't complain I just didn't find it anything special or over the top tasty.. I was not a fan of the decor I found it a bit dated and gloomy .. for many this won't be an issue .. for me I'm all about the atmosphere..I'll go back to try the pancakes and update my review then :-)

Awesome chorizo omelette. Pancakes were great too, the staff are very nice and despite being busy, we were seated and served quickly.

There are corn cakes, for those eating gluten free, if you're still wanting pancakes. They're decent. The cinnamon rolls are huge, & not a typical cinnamon roll, as they're made from scratch. Covered in icing! Biscuits are layered, & delicious. French toast is really good, but it's also the same dough used for biscuits, so it isn't like your normal slice of bread French toast. The coffee is from "Avoca," a local roaster in Fort Worth. Sooooo good. Lot of options for the fancy coffee drinkers, at the coffee bar BTW Prices: about $10-20 a plate. Pancakes are pretty big, so you will be full. Everything is reasonable for portion size, compared to price Environment- hipster. Open, can be loud if music is loud, making everyone else talk louder Service- you walk up to the register & order. Menu is on wall, as well as some handheld menus if waiting in line. So you don't have anyone coming to your table, everything is self serve, which is great I used to come here weekly, every Friday morning lol it's well worth stopping in and trying. Only issue I've ever had with it is parking, if it's during a crowded time lol

I looove this place. Me and my daughter just came here…read moretoday and she had the Monte Cristo. That was delicious ! Than we asked for a side of Hollandaise sauce and that made it even better !! We were helped by Nathan P. He was so sweet and lovely. He always kept us in communication about the wait. Seven Mile Cafe is one of those places that wins you over before the food ever arrives…read more The space is gorgeous. Large restaurants often feel like eating inside an aircraft hangar with pancakes, but Seven Mile somehow pulls off the opposite. They've used the space brilliantly, creating little pockets of comfort and intimacy that make you forget there are dozens of other people around. It's warm, inviting, and comfortable without trying too hard. Whoever designed the flow of the place deserves a raise and possibly a breakfast burrito. The menu is enormous. If you've ever wanted a restaurant to look you directly in the eye and say, "What if we made literally everything?" this is your spot. There are so many options that choosing breakfast starts to feel like applying for graduate school. The food is good. And I mean that sincerely. Good. Not life-changing. Not "I saw God in a waffle." Not "I immediately texted three friends and changed my personality." Just good. The challenge is that some dishes seem determined to be more important than they need to be. Sometimes breakfast doesn't need a backstory, a mission statement, and a personal brand. Sometimes eggs just want to be eggs. There's a tendency toward elevation where simplicity might actually serve the food better. Still, the food is enjoyable across the board, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a really solid breakfast and brunch spot. The waitstaff, however, are exceptional. Friendly, attentive, kind, on top of everything, and somehow managing to navigate a packed restaurant without looking stressed. They made the experience noticeably better, and that's not always the case. Major credit to the team. Now we arrive at the part of the review where my wallet would like to make a statement. The price. No. No no no. Absolutely not. The prices feel about 30% higher than they should be. Every time something arrived at the table, my taste buds said, "This is good," while my bank account quietly whispered, "Are we being extorted by breakfast?" It's not that the food is bad. It isn't. It's good. But the pricing suggests I should be having a transformative spiritual experience involving maple syrup and self-discovery. In the end, Seven Mile Cafe is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service, a huge menu, and reliably good food. I'd happily eat there again. I'd just like my pancakes and my credit card to be on speaking terms afterward.
