    Guava Toffee French Toast
    Caitlin V.

Sadly, I was really disappointed with my food this time around. My Guava Toffee French Toast was just okay. I didn't care for the sauce. What was really disappointing was the Spam Musubi. There was way too rice compared to the small slice of spam and piece of seaweed you get. And I could barely taste the sauce, so mine was really dry.

Was great! It reminded me of Hawaii. I really enjoy good Ube and they did Ube right. I tried their cow and eggs and the cow beef was spot on. And I had a side of the Ube pancakes and they were decadent. I would recommend for anybody to try them. The service was welcoming. It was friendly and definitely inspired me to want to go back. Thanks for the great breakfast. Look forward to the next visit.

It was pretty crowded on a Saturday morning but line moves fairly fast! Service was great ans they have many tables inside and outside. 1. Loco moco (3/5): the gravy was on the sweeter side to my liking and the meat was a big dry. Not sure if I'll get this again 2. Egg benefit pork (4/5): this one was good but on this day the eggs were not running. They overcooked it a little so I was abit sad about that. The pork was also a bit drier for some reason. Potatoes were good tho!

Sunday brunch and we came at the perfect time no line and we got seated right away. I suggested this spot to my boyfriend while we were doing some Trader Joe's shopping nearby, and it didn't disappoint. He loved the food and said he'd definitely come back to try more items. This place is an OG spot for me growing up in OC, especially around Irvine. We ordered the chicken fried steak and loco moco with drinks iced Milo Dino and an iced latte. Everything was about an 8.5/10. Servers were very nice ! We sat outside and it was a good timing to be seated outside was a perfect weather

Stacks Pancake House is a great casual brunch spot with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and the setup is simple and efficient--you order at the front counter and take a number if you're dining in, or wait for your food if you're doing takeout. You can also order online for takeout. We ordered the Captain Crunch Nut French Toast, and it definitely stood out to us --perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and just the right amount of sweetness when paired with the syrup. My husband ordered the Prime Rib Loco Moco for $28, a weekend-only special, and it was absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, with a full 12 oz of prime rib served with egg and rice. The food came out quickly, and the service was friendly and efficient. Even my husband, who doesn't usually crave brunch, said we should come back more often. Overall, a solid brunch spot with great food and smooth service. Definitely worth checking out!

The food is amazing! Service, ambience are amazing. The service is prompt! Our food was hot and delicious. This was our first time at this establishment. We will be back!!! Spread the word about this great place!

Stacks Pancake House reminded me of Aloha Stacks I visited at Mission Viejo and RSM. Similar menu, similar style of ordering and serving. The Culver location has many tables outdoors shared by eateries nearby. I enjoyed the CBH omelette I ordered. It came with a small serving of salsa which is pretty tasty. I had a bite of Portuguese sausage which is good too. There is only one size of coffee available but you can get free refill if you want to take the time to see the cashier at the counter. The ordering line could be long depending on when you arrive. Fortunately it moves pretty fast. We were able to grab a couple of adjacent tables for our large party. Overall it was a good breakfast experience.

We are a fan of stacks- this one is only 2nd time we been to this specific location. Overall it was fine. The steak for hibachi steak was not consistent with pieces being cooked enough. So that was a downer. Other than that the staff was friendly, clean place, eggs, spam, and pancakes were good. The musubi was also really good but sort of $$$.

Haven't been to stacks in a while, brought my sister here to try their pancakes which were DELICIOUS! The buttermilk pancakes were fluffy, not too oily, and you can adjust the sweetness with maple syrup. I got the breakfast egg burrito which was pretty good, I just think the potato's were a bit too mushy. Salsa = yum. We also got the Katsu Curry, would not order again Let me just say, the portion sizes are amazing for the price! You do order at the counter and it gets crowded. Seating is limited indoors so many sit outside. Would definitely come again to try the Huevos Ranchos plate and the other pancakes flavors!!

    Kalua Pork Benedict

I love Stacks, all their dishes are always a hit. This time I decided to try something new and I got the kalua pork eggs Benedict. Each Benedict was filled generously with soft and flavorful kalua pork, which works really well with the hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were also well cooked and delicious. Highly recommend, one of my favorite brunch spots!

    Crab Fried rice!!! Delicious

We went in as a party of 10 and the staff was amazing. I ordered the crab fried rice and Kalua chiliquiles and Mac nut French toast. Omg so good! We was also celebrating my bffs birthday and we brought a cake. The staff was super kind to give us plates and forks for the cake. It was a good homey experience and would recommend this place ten times over!

My friend told me about this place and was raving about how good their ube pancakes are. I get the hype now. I love a good Hawaiian breakfast spot so this really hit. We ordered the french toast, ube pancakes (obviously), and the loco moco with fried rice. The food was delish! I will definitely be coming back here for sure.

Was looking forward to trying this Hawaiian fusion brunch spot but it fell short. You walk up to the counter, order and pay, and someone brings out your food! My pancakes were lovely but my iced macadamia latte tasted watered down. Eggs and bacon were standard. Tried my friend's ube pancakes and was not a fan. The ube sauce is smothered on top and it overpowered the poor pancakes. For the price, everything was just decent. Their savory options look promising so maybe I'll give Stacks another chance next time.

Does this location serve Coke from its fountain? Our location switched to Pepsi.

    Do they Take reservations?

No, it's a fast casual restaurant so first come first seat; there are indoor and outdoor dining.

Are the Ube pancakes available here?

    Yes they are

Did you change the coconut syrup? The consistency and flavor have not been right the last two times we were there. Embarrassing because we rave about the coconut syrup and took friends. It was really NOT GOOD.

I have noticed it also being more "watered down" but haven't tried it since.

    Is breakfast served all day?

Yes, as long as they are open.

Anyone try their musubi and if so, what are your honest thoughts?

Funny you should ask....less than a month ago I ordered the Misubi. It had MAPLE SYRUP on no not teriyaki. I called and spoke with Patty. "Ok come back and I will leave a note, we will give you another one" So thats what I did I came back when I… Read more

Does this business do curbside orders? Will they deliver takeout to your car?

I'm not 100 percent but I am sure if you call them they will bring it to your car, they have friendly staff and mindsets. Just remember to tip for the extra service!

Are the waffles and pancakes vegan? What other vegan options do they have?

Is this place open for dine in yet?

Not as of 7/18 per governors orders for California. However outdoor seating is available.

Do they take phone orders? I saw someone ask this same question and someone answered "yes," but also that they don't answer the phone, so wondering if this has changed. Or do…

I'm not sure if they take phone orders but they do take online orders.

Are they open 4th of July?

    Yes...😀

Is this location closed? Friends say they aren't answering the phone? I called myself several times and same issue. Thanks!

It's open. They just don't answer the phone.

    Are you dog friendly/accommodating?

There's outside seating for dogs :)

Are the pancakes and waffles dairy free?

I don't believe they are. Many choices so that may be an option.

I'm getting dragged here tomorrow. Any vegan options?

The waffles are not vegan. The menu online states "egg battered". #veganforLIFE ?? I am headed ti Stacks right now and will probably end up drinking a glass of OJ and a side of fruit. ???????

Are there any gluten free breakfast places around Anaheim CA, that servers gf pancakes and such? Tired of fruit.

Flappy Jack's Pancake House in Orange has a ton of gluten free pancakes AND waffles. They are amazing!

    Do they sell alcohol?

    No

    Any gluten free items?

Yes. Gluten free pancakes and waffles (dietary only).

Just south of Interstate 5 on Jeffrey Rd, you'll find a small shopping center. There is a row of 4-5 small eateries, but at the far end, you'll see Da Luau Hawaiian Grill. The inside of the restaurant is small, but could easily accommodate 30 people at shared tables. It's very clean inside and has seating at tables or bench seats along the wall. The menu consists of various Hawaiian-inspired dishes. I personally was craving garlic shrimp. I asked for garlic rice as well, but asked them to hold the onions. My husband had a spam and eggs meal. We also couldn't forget to add shaved ice to our order because we wanted something sweet and refreshing for dessert. The shrimp was delicious and did not have an overpowering fishy flavor. The garlic sauce was slightly sweet, which was quite refreshing. I was expecting something with more of a garlicky flavor, but this had hints of other spices combined for a unique flavor. I really enjoyed my meal! I'm glad that I came here with an open mine. I noticed that many of the reviews for Da Luau Hawaiian Grill were mixed. However, I personally enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back again in the near future.

After a farewell dinner to/at Gulliver's Prime Ribs Of Beef, our party of six continued the evening several miles away at Stowaway for some light bites and libations. Personally, I was all about the Hawaiiana tiki culture and tried to live it every day. Founded by co-owners Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, its current home of barely three years in a former dive bar came about when they unceremoniously had to leave the original location. With its proximity to Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room and the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture, they found their footing with a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, and tropical trimmings. Would I stow myself away somewhere inside and never leave!? PURCHASE(S) Don Q Punch Bowl ($38.00): Made with Don Q's Cristal Silver, Anejo, and 151 Gold Rums, respectively, peach brandy, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, this flaming concoction was rumtastic in every way possible as the tropical juices just made it that much sweeter. There were more ice chips than I liked, but it was a fun trough to drink out of for the four of us who wanted to imbibe. Coconut Shrimp 6pc ($12.00): Breaded and flash-fried plump shrimp served with a sweet chili dipping sauce, these were tasty and perfectly paired with the Don Q cocktail I was drinking. Stowaway Fries ($17.00): Constructed with a pile of crisp golden spud sticks, rum braised pork, and topped with a hearty gravy and sunny-side up egg, this loco moco fries dish was slamming while the slightly charred juicy pork had me squealing with enjoyment. SERVICE We had reservations, so once our entire party arrived, they quickly seated us in a cool cave-live separate alcove for more privacy. Our server arrived with menus, suggestions, and glasses of water. Minutes later, we all ordered at once, and everything (drinks and food) arrived within ten minutes. Because we had another reservation inside the same bar, we informed our male server and to let us know when we were allowed to go there. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located within a strip mall, you opened the front door and walked into an island oasis as if you were a cast member on "Gilligan's Island" with thatched roof material above you, tiki statues displaced on all of the volcanic-looking walls, collections of tiki mugs past and present for purchase, a central square bar with plenty of stools, and seemingly small dark nooks and private spaces where naughty things could happen. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights barely guided you along. There were no TVs while I recalled various styles of music played in the background along with chatter and clamor of conversations in all directions. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL I had a cowabunga time at Stowaway, and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I loved tiki bars, and although this was generally out of my range, I'd make a special trip or two here. My one drink was lip-smacking good, the pupus were yummy, the prices were reasonable enough, the atmosphere was stupendous, and the service was friendly and professional. While the drinks menu was loaded with tropical cocktails, an impressive rum selection, and a decent assortment of local craft beers, the food menu was somewhat limited. And, the bar had happy hour TU-FR 4pm-6pm. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $75.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
