We've been coming here regularly for a few weeks now. Food is great and service is even better! The servers are very kind and accommodating, our pup always gets special treatment from Gerardo.

Stacks food menu is large you will definitely have to make return visits . Our food was served hot and prepared fast and delicious. Portions are large my peeps so bring your appetite. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed 3 to 4 times before being seated so cool. Our waitress was super nice and accommodating. The vibe of the place reminded me of old school diner serving good ol fashion food hot and plentiful. Check this place out if your passing through it's definitely worth the stop. I apologize now because I started to eat my food before taking the pictures "hey I was hungry " . SYOYCVN

I came here on a dreary rainy day with a Groupon to use, and it was pretty full for a random weekday lunch. They have their own mini parking lot in the back, which was very convenient for these random Redwood City roads. Stacks is a bay area-based brunch restaurant with several locations around the bay, and open 7 days a week! Because of the egg crisis, there's a surcharge for menu items containing eggs. - Chicken Fried Steak The chicken fried steak patty was crusty and a little dry. Even with the house gravy that consisted of ground pork sausage and mushrooms (a rather thick and gloppy consistency), it needed more moisture. Taste-wise, it was fine. I do wish the gravy was more wet, and that it came with more scallions. It comes with potatoes, your choice of bread, and two eggs done in your preferred style. The way they cooked the sunny side up eggs was really odd; it looked more oven-baked than fried on a pan, and it was devoid of seasoning. The toast thankfully came toasted and buttered up well. I also liked the chopped up crispy potatoes that were like a hybrid of hash browns and house potatoes. - Seafood Benedict I wanted a benedict because I loved the way Stacks composes those plates - there's a ceramic skillet with the benedict, the potatoes, and a cup of fruit. The seafood benedict comes with crab meat, bay shrimp, baby spinach, swiss cheese, tomatoes, scallions, and bearnaise sauce oozing throughout the benedict. This made the benedict ultra creamy and eggy. The egg was delightfully runny. The seafood amount was ample, but I wasn't too fond of it because of a strong ocean taste. Yeah, the crab was real crab meat, but there was something about it that just made it taste more like ocean than the subtle sweetness of typical fresh crab. The shrimp was also tiny. I appreciated how there was more seafood than spinach in this mixture. The fruit cup it comes with is very small! I would recommend getting a different benedict flavor. It was an interesting experience and a good deal with the Groupon, as I don't typically enjoy brunch places. The plates are pretty big and filling, they have good options for plant based eaters, and it's a cozy place for some good old American brunch. I had half of my benedict plate as leftovers! With a lot of brunch competition in the bay area, it's hard to say whether something will bring me back here again especially with these prices (about $20 per plate).

Classic diner feel with tasty chicken fried steak and fries potatoes. There was an issue when we ordered a vegan burger with vegan cheese. They didn't write down the order correctly or there was some confusion because the burger came with dairy cheese instead. They tried to say we were wrong but then they checked the ticket and it had been entered incorrectly. Unfortunate, but they did remake the burger with vegan cheese. Nice that they have plant based options, but maybe they're not used to making them? The vibe was good, and they were pretty busy but had tables free on a Sunday at 1pm.

FYI the large mimosa is an entire bottle of champagne which the waitress won't tell you even if you're ordering for one person

Worst Bloody Mary of my whole life straight tomato juice from a can nasty no salt rim or olives like advertised 1/10 very disappointed

Reuben sandwich - thin, very little meat. Poor representation of what is normally a great sandwich.

We arrived at about 1:00-1:30 and the inside main dining area was already closed to patrons as staff prepared for the evening service. The host's tone did not encourage potential customers to dine there during the transition to dinner prep. Not a great first impression that gave off a late arrival so you'll get what's leftover vibe which was exacerbated by being forgotten for what seemed to be a half hour before our waitperson came to take our order. We chose to sit in the front sidewalk patio which was cold and windy not an alternate choice we will need to make again. We ended up sitting across from two loud, self-centered, immature, foul-mouthed college grad girls bragging about studying for their masters attempting to appear cultured were distracting everyone on that patio. After we placed our order, we finished up the app and hubbs was furious they forgot about his glass of pinot which arrived without an apology for the delay preceding our plate arrivals. I had the ny strip steak on the breakfast menu which came out perfectly med-well & added cilantro rice which was good although a little sticky not fluffy. Hubbs had the salmon which looked amazing and he enjoyed the mango sauce--the dish just didn't fill him up. Good thing we ordered fresh chips, salsa& guac.--which was very well prepared; the freshest guac I've ever had. It had fresh chopped tomatoes & green chiles all perfectly combined. Our wait person/food server made up for the less than stellar first impression of the host. And the food was flavorful. The ambiance was ruined by the diners across from us and the forgetfulness of taking our orders timely and serving the wine after the appetizer couldn't bring us back from what started out as negative experience. There are many restaurants up & down the bay that we aren't bothered. This wasn't the best reception nor dining experience and we are moving on. We hope it's a lesson and possibly could've just been a bad day for the crew, and unfortunately there is so much competition out there. We highly recommend the food for its freshness and flavor; recommend the salmon dish for its flavor and balance but not for its portion size. And wish this place nothing but the best and to improve where they dropped the ball.

It was not busy, we went for lunch on a Thursday and we had reservations, but still there were plenty of open tables so there wasn't an obvious reason for not tending to the table. The food looks fabulous, but the price and taste do not match up. The fish from the fish and chips was literally wet, like dripping. Not oily, wet like water. By day, it's warm, welcoming, and family-friendly. You'll see families enjoying dinner, friends catching up over drinks, and locals stopping in for great food and hospitality. But once Friday night hits, the entire atmosphere transforms. The lights dim, the music turns up, the dance floor fills, and the energy becomes something you'd expect to find in a much bigger city. Friday nights bring a fun mix of crowds; from younger groups looking for DJs, dancing, cocktails, and nightlife energy, to older guests enjoying the live music, atmosphere, and social vibe. Honestly, I'm a little older myself and still absolutely love the younger, high-energy scene here. It's fun, welcoming, and never feels out of place no matter your age. One weekend you'll hear young country performers getting the crowd singing along, and the next you'll find authentic Irish fiddlers creating that classic pub atmosphere everyone loves. That variety is what keeps people coming back..every weekend offers something different and memorable.
