She makes the drive all the way from Hesperia just for their prime rib, so I figured it had to be worth trying. I wasn't in the mood for prime rib--I was craving barbecue. It's the Fourth of July, after all! I ordered the ribs, and they absolutely delivered. I'm typically not a barbecue sauce person, but whatever sauce they use is perfection. The ribs were tender, flavorful, and easily some of the best I've had. They came with baked beans, coleslaw, and corn. I'll be honest--the sides were just okay, but the ribs completely stole the show. My husband ordered the half chicken and half ribs, and that chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful. My aunt loved her salmon, and of course she's still convinced their prime rib is the best around. Even my toddler was happy with her bacon and fries, which made dinner that much easier. As an added bonus, we happened to visit on Friday when they were serving clam chowder, and it was absolutely delicious. The food was so good that we came back the very next day--and yes, I ordered the exact same ribs again. If you're visiting Las Vegas, don't overlook Ellis Island just because it's off the Strip. Sometimes getting away from the crowds is exactly what you need, especially when you're traveling with family.
