Came here last minute for a quick dinner. Very cool location, outdoor and indoor seating (outdoor has enclosure and heating), as well as bar seating. Lots of cool aesthetics, and a nice vibe. Ordered the reuben with fries, and the spinach kale dip. The reuben was decent, but didn't care for the fries...little dry and flavorless. The spinach kale dip was amazing, I'd probably come back just for this. Overall just average, prices were definitely high for a casual dining spot. Although they have a very nice inside, and lots of games outdoors (pickle ball, cornholes, etc)...seems the food prices reflect the money invested into this place. The Standard is a great place to spend time with family and friends. The food is fantastic! This is my second visit and they did not disappoint. I can't wait to come back over and over again. Especially during football season. They have a projector screen outdoors which shows the games while the kids play on the different fields. We came for the beef stroganoff, which has been our favorite for a while. We were HIGHLY disappointed that it was removed off the menu. We were told it was replaced by Spicy Rigatoni, so we ordered it. We were told we could choose our protein, so we chose sweet and spicy Italian sausage. It was delicious HOWEVER we couldn't see the sausage, so we asked if there was a mistake. NOPE, no mistake...the sausage was very very fine like tiny pepper specs. In our minds, we were expecting at least 4oz of meat (1/4 lb), generous would have been 5-6 oz like what was served with the beef stroganoff. I think we got 2 tablespoons of sausage, we barely saw it. We saw a neighboring table order the same, but instead of sausage, they ordered crispy chicken. That was an entirely different and generous portion of protein. Although the food and drinks were delicious, the service was top notch, the protein portion was a major disappointment. Located in Heath, this location is amazingly large to even include tennis courts and other outdoor games along with a music stage outside. They have plenty of tables located around their patio and even a couple of cabanas that include fire pits along the gaming area. Lots of families enjoy this opportunity. Inside, the restaurant is also very spacious and organized. The bar are looks out into the game located out the back patio. The bar is very well stocked and has reasonably priced drinks. They have happy hours from 3-6pm M-F. The food is also delicious with a couple of weekend specials always changing. read more

Examples: vinyl bench seats in booths, panelling that belongs in a 1960's ranch home, kitschy wallpaper murals, and sheetrock walls instead of distressed brick details. The bar is a bit larger as well! . Now if they just stocked the bar w a broader array of liquor... *********** Cozy indoor seating under a soaring 20' ceiling, with central bar, over stained concrete floors. Plenty of parking. Nice outdoor seating area, with tons of space and nice wooden screens. If the weather is nice, sit outside! The appetizers are good enough to eat for a meal! Get the Bison Frito Pie even if you aren't hungry - it is sooo good!! Several good food choices, but we tried burgers today. My wife enjoyed the Remedy Burger, and I loved the Standard Deluxe Burger. The Standard has a sunny-side-up egg; runny and messy - but oh so tasty! Yumm! The side of chips was basic (didn't want the sweet potato fries), and they should come with Ranch Dressing - but some dressing was brought upon request. Cokes were poured from glass bottles. My Bloody Mary was perfect; not too spicy. They test several new cocktails each month; we tried one that needed a little work. Patty melt and Caesar salad Our party of 12 was quickly seated despite it being Saturday on a holiday weekend. Our waitress was attentive and very kind. We sat outside near the ping pong tables. I always laugh when I see "standard service" as the name. Not rockstar service. Kind of sets the bar low. But, with that being said - overall another pretty darn good experience. We ordered Ranch Water and shrimp lettuce wraps for appetizers. We also ordered the wedge to share. Ranch Water was fantastic and so was the shrimp. The wedge was so tasty. What a fun place to go and hang out with your family and friends. Truthfully the only thing that is keeping me from giving this a five star review is the service that we received on our visit. We were a party of 20 I did inquire about having more than one server but was told that the one server would be sufficient, that was not the truth. They were a little in flexible when it came to ordering from the dinner menu instead of the brunch menu which starts at three. So what ended up happening is a few of our friends ordered from the brunch menu but the majority of the folks had to wait 45 minutes to be able to order from the dinner menu. Not a complaint more of an observation as it gave us more time to fellowship while waiting for the dinner menu to become available. They have plenty of things to do to entertain both the young and the old with corn hole big patio etc. I think The star of the show was the short rib beef stroganoff which was a big hit and tasted even better the second day as we weren't able to eat all of it the day of. I would recommend this place on a nice clear sunny day I probably will never go back as a big party but a party of six or less should have a great time and have good service. read more

Went to celebrate my bday with a large group and had an evening reservation in a cabana. I will say food and drinks were great. Service was also pretty good. Mainly, my issue was the cabanas are directly facing the evening sunset with no shade from the sun. Seems likes a poor design and I know not a ton they can do about it but wish I knew that before reserving that area. Also, obviously a kid friendly place which is great but just felt like there were messes everywhere that were unattended. As a parent I would clean up after my child but there was just a large pile of wet napkins by a drain right in front of our cabana that sat there all day... Kind of gross. As a cornhole fan, wish that area had a little more order too as bean bags were just scattered and not enough to even have 2 games being played at once. All around good just a couple issues though. It saddens me to have to write this as I have been a loyal patron for YEARS. I even helped to open the every first Standard in Rockwall. But it has gone down hill with their franchising out and building multiple locations. First I called ti make a reservation for my birthday party dinner. Was told since it was over 15 people I had to go through the event coordinator and she will only communicate through email- not a single phone call. And was told we can only be accommodated outside. When I expressed my worry for storms the evening of the dinner I was told that can't guarantee anything for me. Unless it under 20 people. And I put my card on file for the $700 overhead fee. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous for a birthday dinner. I understand an actual event. But a dinner? Really?! So I said nope. We will just do something at the house, because that's BS. So we went last-night instead of the intended day. With just my family and kiddos (8 people) we got there at 9. And the website says hours of operation are until 10. We get there and they tell us it only says that online because the bar is open and they can't serve us. So we left because that's again ridiculous- don't put that online if your kitchen is not open until 10. So we went to rodeo goat at the harbor and had a great night and was served food and drinks until their actual closing time. Which is what is posted on the door. Unlike Standard. I won't be back for awhile- if ever. Their hospitality has seriously gone downhill which is a shame because that is what this restaurant and company used to care more about. And doesn't seem like that anymore. read more

The ambiance of this place is super cool! They have a large outside seating area with fire pits, outdoor games, pretty string lights. It's a nice place to hangout with your significant other and friends. And their food/ drinks are delicious! I got the maple bird and it was so good. My experience at Standard Service was nothing short of wonderful! Highly recommend getting the chips and queso and sitting outside when the weather is nice! My quirk when I go out to a restaurant is that I search through Yelp at their photos to help make my decision, but there wasn't a photo of the meal I was debating on. But I'm so glad Taylor recommended getting the pot pie because it was PERFECT for the super cold night. I also ordered the CASA Rosa cocktail which was so refreshing. I would've even loved it without the alcohol. It tasted that good. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Aviary Cabernet Sauvignon. But that's not really anyone's fault. From the outside you can tell there is a great vibe with the cute chair outside. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and decided to sit outdoors. The inside has more of a Dennys diner feel to it. Outside is a whole different experience. Lounge chairs, shade, large tv, huge grass area, pickle ball court, ping pong tables. You can rent the items needed with the hostess but you will need to trade you DL for them. The food....surprisingly good. We ordered a salad, kid's spaghetti, blt and mozzarella sticks. The salad was good for a salad lol the BLT had flavor and was tasty if you like BLTs order this one, the mozzarella sticks were perfect the cheeses was soft and gooey. They are a must order and the kid's spaghetti was spicy which was not normal for the restaurant but they had not problem exchanging it out for the burger which was excellent even my picky kid ate it.
