This may be one of my new go to donut stops in Sac! They have a great selection to pick from--your traditional, standard flavors to some more eclectic tastes. :P I came on a Sunday morning around 0730 and there were still many donuts to choose from. I went with the dozen mix and got a variety of original glaze, maple bacon, lemon custard, cinnamon, oreo, and fritters. My fav was definitely the maple bacon! Staff were kind and efficient. The lady helping me was very sweet and threw in a few donut holes on the house. They also have breakfast croissants! I will be coming back to try one of those. The pastrami one sounds yummy.

The absolute best donuts in Sacramento, arguably the country. That's a bold statement I know but i've tried every donut I could get my hands on. The absolute freshest and they're made with low sugar. You don't feel like a million pounds after eating 5 donuts. The service is so friendly and quick. They sell out fast so get in there! The maple bar and glazed round are my favorite

Holy cow Stanley...err Stanely?!?! I left the shop in disbelief and awe. I'll tell you why after these descriptive basics. The nice lady behind the counter was great and the donuts were fresh & delicious. I got my favored buttermilk bars and fell for a new one, the butterfly blueberry (might've been another berry but it tasted like blue to me.) My mom really enjoyed her apple fritter and french cruller. Why was I in shock? I took the plunge using the app TooGoodToGo encouraged by Michelle L's review. The amount of donuts I got right before they closed astonished me. It was a large full size paper grocery bag filled to the brim with lovely donuts. I counted at least 37 of all varieties. There was no way our little fam could finish so I gave away most of them the care home across the street from my house.

updated review. I've been trying the donut shops when I'm in Sacramento to visit my daughter. First one we went was Stanley's. Stanley's ((and Marie's) have the best donuts. One tastes like a slice of cake, the custard one was filled generously with the custard. They were fresh and light. My 35 year old daughter still wants the one with sprinkles. There's a nice variety. And the owner was very sweet and patient while I was trying to make up my mind. The parking is typical for J street. Oh, and I was there after 10am, the donuts were fresh and a great selection.

I stopped in to try this donut shop on my way to the airport. I got a glazed old fashioned donut and some croissant bites and they were good. They may not have been made that day but they tasted as if they were made in house. The service and seating area were on par with most other donut shops.

Hubs had an appointment at the medical office around the corner and at 6AM Stanely's popped up on my Yelp app for a quick coffee and donut. I'm so glad I came here. The place is small but had all the necessities you'd want. Like for instance, drinks, they had good selection of juices, sodas, water, milk, etc. Oh, and coffees, they serve Olympia or maybe it was Olympus, too early for my memory? Anyhoo, it wasn't your typical donut shop bland coffee. There were four different self serve machines and that was a plus. I chose a dozen mixed and my favorite is the French crueler, also called tractor wheel, some raspberry filled, old fashioned, etc. It was $18 and the sweet girl behind the counter threw in some free donut holes. I have to say, these donuts were so fresh and tasty! My dog enjoyed her plain donut too! So glad I found this place!

I ordered a mixed dozen and they didn't disappoint. Doughnuts were soft and tasty and my coworkers devoured them. The parking lot sucks. Almost got hit pulling in and leaving.

I needed to drop a family member off at Mercy General at 5AM and was delighted to see an "on" sign at this family donut shop as I came down on J. This is a no frills place and yet it still has a lot of charm--warm and welcoming, even with a small dining area to enjoy a cup of coffee with your donut. At 5AM they were still getting the donuts out so they were as fresh as they could possibly be, and when I wanted something that was not quite ready for the case the kind lady at the front went back to get it for me. I loved their donut selection and was excited to see Vietnamese coffee on offer as well. For the quality of the donuts, I felt their prices were fair--and she threw in some donut holes as a bonus. I shouldn't go back too soon for my health, but I look forward to my next visit.

Warm friendly neighbourhood shop near 38th and J. Mercy Hospital and Sacred Heart Nearby. Lot's of off street parking. Stanley's offers a huge variety of quality doughnuts, maple bars, cinnamon rolls, popular apple fritters, and lemon and berry filled to name a few. On certain days they make specialty doughnuts. Update: Mochi Donuts now offered on Weekends! A refrigerated display is stocked with waters, milk, sodas, energy drinks etc. They brew quality coffee, French, Italian and House blend and have recently added "Vietnamese Coffee". Great place to pick up an affordable quality bagel or croissant sandwich. Any combination of egg, bacon, sausage, cheese. Pastrami. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

All of their ice creams are coconut milk based instead and the three I tasted were SO.DAMN.GOOD. My man ordered the salted caramel and it was delicious, but not what I was in the mood for that night. I was on the fence between the blueberry cheesecake and the peach cobbler. I really wanted a scoop of both, but I just wasn't that hungry. I decided on the peach cobbler, and I'm still dreaming about it. The sweet peaches, the essence of cream, and that buttery slightly salty crust. From the street front this place doesn't look like much but when you go in, there are a couple tables and a counter you can eat at and then there is a massive kitchen in the back. Both tasted very good but slightly different without dairy. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the flavor and textures. My friend ended up with the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie which was also great. I love a crunch or different texture mixed in. She did mention that the Rocky Road tasted a bit off because of the lack of dairy and the texture was a bit unusual. The staff were polite and patient and the place didn't seem that crowded for a Thursday around dinner time. I suppose with Ginger Elizabeth's and Rick's Dessert Diner all on the same strip, there is a lot of competition for dessert places here. We were happy to try something new. Everything was fairly clean and there was plenty of bar seating as well as a few tables. I believe there were also tables outside.

I ordered the taro latte with pudding, mango coconut pudding, spicy crab, and tator tots. Taro latte was 70% sweetness and was still kinda sweet. That was on me though. The spicy crab rice ball was delicious. It was hot when it came out and didn't have too much mayo. The tater tots were super hot and crunchy. Not too salty either. The place is called Tomo Tea House on N Freeway Blvd in Natomas. Their parking situation is pretty good as they have a huge lot that they share with many other popular businesses. It's the cutest little shop and they have the cutest interior with a few tables inside for customers. They have a kiosk one can order from but I ordered at the regular cashier. They have a pretty good display case which features many of their mochi donuts available that day. This particular visit was kind of unique in that I went there towards the end of business day,so I was able to pick up six donuts for only $1 each,so I ended up getting a lot more donuts than usual. I can 100% say that after eating all six donuts they do make a quality mochi donut and they really nailed the proper texture and sweetness level. Let's rank the donuts I picked up that day. 1. Chocolate With Fruity Pebbles-5/5-I really enjoyed the over the top sweetness of the toppings with the subdued sweetness of the donut. 2. Cookies N Cream-4/5-Im a pretty big fan of Cookies n Cream so this flavor combo really worked. 3. Churro-3.75/5-i think they pulled off the churro flavor pretty well and I really enjoyed this donut. 4. Funnel Cake-2.5/5- I'm not the biggest fan of Funnel Cake,so I'm probably the wrong audience but yeah just didn't enjoy it too much. 5. Ube-1.5/5- like the funnel cake, not a massive fan of Ube flavor so this flavor profile didn't work for me-sadly I had two of these. Overall I really enjoyed my visit to this shop and they currently are my go-to spot for mochi donuts in the Natomas area. They have a really high quality product here.
