Haven't used this company in a long time... Got so tired of them up selling me even when I had them put it on my records not to do it... But having dogs I did use them quite a bit. I did like the fact that they were able to get all the water out of your carpet unlike some of the smaller companies it was like soaking wet when they left. It's so deceptive how they offer low prices but when they get there going. Oh well, we gotta charge this for the protectant or oh now you need this or whatever. Plus the fact that when I had my master bathroom tile steam cleaned they ruined my mirrors to my closet... Still live there and have to look at that. I called them and they wouldn't do anything about it. And then in my hall bath they blasted all the grout out and then I had to pay to have somebody come back and redo it and all they gave me was a bottle of tile cleaner. Like I said, this is a long time ago, but we didn't use Yelp back then for some reason I saw some thing that triggered Me writing this. Horrible customer service! spent $400 for 1 room and a hallway added on carpet protector and enzyme for the floor. the tech was nice but only cleaned the carpets for 45 min i have video time stamp when he pulled the hose in and pulled it out. $400 for 45 min of carpet cleaning are you serious? 24 hours after the service was done the carpets looked worse the wife and I used our household carpet cleaner and did a hell of a lot better of a job. I called and made a complaint the " manager was rude and could care less" after I told him we already spent the time and redid what they were paid $400 to do he said all he can do i have a tech and come again. I stated we already did the work and we had the work done because we had a new couch scheduled to be put in. I asked for a refund he said we do not do refunds we can only come back again. I asked well are you gonna reimburse me 4 hours of lost work for you to come back he responded no. I offered to show all pictures of the carpet after the tech left and after we did it with all time stamps. Be careful using them as a service as they have 0 customer service and offer no help. I had a terrible experience. I just moved in to a home that sat for months before selling. I am only giving 1 star becuase this person showed up on time. He was straight out of bed, smelled and when he seen the bathroom (dirty for sure) he looked and responded with "shit". He told me "this tile" even cleaned will make no difference and he was just "being honest" and " it is what it is". He felt it was too old. I told him to leave and he was happy to do. They prode themselves on no job being to much- that was not the case. I have used Stanley Steemer for many years but just had the worst experience and I won't be using them again. First, they scheduled my window for my appointment between 9 and 12. I get a text message at 11:36 am they technician would arrive at 11:54 am. The technician didn't arrive until 12:05 pm. If you can't arrive within a 3 hour window, maybe a customer's time doesn't matter. The technician looked horrible to include having pants that didn't fit him and his zipper was half down! Next, I was scheduled for 1 room to be cleaned and deodorized ($50 for cleaning and $25 for deodorizing totaling $75) but there is a minimum service fee of $135. So I asked with I could add a second room because of the additional $60 minimum charge. The technician quoted me a $195 fee (another $60 for the additional room). It is simple math (if one room is $50 shouldn't a second room be an additional $50) so $50 for cleaning, $25 for deodorizing, plus $50 for an additional room equals $125 (understanding the minimum charge is $135). The technician didn't agree as his hand held devise gave him a different number. I called Stanley Steemer to discuss with a supervisor but only got the run around with the person answering the phone. Her price was $165 to complete the additional room. Maybe I need to go back to school to understand math. I did not have him do the work and will be looking for an new company to clean my carpets. BTW- I have never signed up for Yelp and I am so frustrated right now I actually signed up for Yelp just to rate Stanley Steemer. read more

Set up an appointment Monday for today (Thursday) between 12-2pm. Text 8am to confirm my appointment. Got a call 10 am saying a technician was in the area and could be here at 11 am, but I was at work. She said that was ok, and I would still get a call when the technician was on the way. At 1:40 pm, I hadn't received a call, so I called and left a message. At 2 pm, I got a text that they were sorry the technician wasn't going to make it. They could be here tomorrow. I left work early. Moved furniture. And sat waiting for them. I asked if there was any way they could come today and got no response back until I called again to see if they could reschedule me and was told they wouldn't have anyone in my area till next week. Unprofessional scammers! I was upcharged and upcharged by two unethical technicians who were lazy and put zero muscle into their cleaning. The corners and around the tile baseboards looked like they had been skipped. My couch didn't look any cleaner, zero muscle as I said. They came out a second time and said they only had 15 minutes and couldn't spend the time on the tile. They did one quick pass on the couch but again no muscle. After pleading, management pretty much told me that I signed the bill and was out of luck. Not even a partial refund. I could go on and on about the ridiculous things they said. They don't care about hard work or quality . Be careful, they quoted me $300 and ended up charging me over $600 for less rooms than originally agreed upon. Major bait-and-switch today. Stanley Steemer sent their estimator last Saturday. We wanted to clean about 500 square feet of Travertine tile and grout. The personable rep walked off the spaces, estimated ~ 500 square feet, discussed the special no-steam method for cleaning our natural stone Travertine and estimated the cost below $300 and a few hours work. And, he suggested we ask for a senior discount when the clean team arrived. We scheduled for this morning. All good, right? In came Luis and Prince around 8:45. We asked for the senior discount on the estimated price and immediately encountered stiff resistance. Luis measured with a tape, came up with ~ 500 square feet and quoted a price of ... wait for it ... $2 per square foot. That's more than$1,000+ for the job. Just imagine an all-tile 2,000 square foot home. Are you ready to write that $4,000 check to clean the tile? Although nice guys, Luis and Prince were gently shown the door. I debated writing a review, but I decided that I had to. Chris and Henry from the Rancho Cordova office came to my house this week to do an online scheduled cleaning. Upon arriving, they talked to my wife and tried to upsell a tile cleaning, and while we were somewhat interested, the test results were good, but my wife decided not to do it, and that decision seemed to doom things with Chris. My wife and I cleared the entire room of furniture except one piece. Stanley says they will move furniture, but we decided to just make it easier and move everything but one piece. So my wife asked them to move the piece and Chris refused and said they would clean around it, my wife balked at that and said no, we wanted it moved. Chris continued to say no and refused. The guys went outside, and this SO HEAVY piece was moved by my wife ALL BY HERSELF. Which is just unreal that two gentlemen would not move the piece yet have my wife move it herself. Next, Chris then disputed the cost of the cleaning with my wife, saying that she was wrong about the online quote. My wife basically argued with Chris because he would not listen to her. My wife called me at work upset, and I screenshot the cost of the service to her, and she then showed him to prove what she said. He finally said' "fine!" It was almost as if he had an incentive for the price to be more than the $35 online coupon gave us. Needless to say, all of this occurred before the cleaning, and the pictures show the quality we received. I hope somebody from Stanley contacts us about this experience and the way Chris treated my wife. My wife said that Henry was kind and even tried to reason with Chris regarding his inability to see that he was wrong about the price but to no avail. read more

This company does not have a business license listed and when asked for this while speaking with a representative of the branch AND their corporate office I am told they do not have this information and that I will have to wait a week for the owner to be back in town. All CA business must post this information and have this readily available, this is clearly an infraction with the state. I was unhappy with the results. The felt backing was bubbled and coming away from the rug. The stains and dirt had not been removed from either side as was guaranteed. Saturday, April 4, 2021 We had our carpets cleaned on our new house built only 9 months ago because we wanted to remove the dust and dirt. Aaron T. That cleaned our house was very nice and professional so we gave him a very good tip. Unfortunately after he left we noticed our brand new walls had some knicks and scuffs and marks. We tried to remove them and some came off but not where the paint was chipped. We immediately took pictures and emailed it within 30-minutes after the cleaning so they know it's fresh but no response so I called to bring it to their attention. Manager Randy L. said he would come by on Monday, April 12 but No Call No Show, so Friday we called back and asked if he forgot. It looked liked like he called back but didn't leave a message. We thought he wanted to see for proof that our walls were damaged(maybe he didn't believe us). All we were asking for was $27 to help cover the textured touch-up paint, etc. Sadly, he never called back or explained why he never showed up or called back. We liked Aaron but the company/Manager(s) is not responsive - that's why I'm giving only three stars. It's sad because we would have continued to be customers but not anymore - therefore, cannot recommend them. The company should look over the walls and bring to customer's attention any marks, scuffs, etc. so that we can acknowledge if they were there before or after the cleaning service. Aaron also recommended that we clean our carpet every 3-4 months the same time we change our air filters. I was an Outside Sales Rep. for a major flooring company and I sold over $500,000 in carpet and we recommended carpet cleaning once a year(of course depending on use). I am incredibly disappointed with the carpet cleaning service I purchased yesterday. The technician was obviously rushing, he only spent about 45 minutes cleaning 5 rooms and a hallway. While some areas do look better, no extra time or care was put into traffic areas or areas with stains. I expected better from a company who specializes in carpet cleaning. When he finished there was stains and dark spots that were still there, and when my boyfriend tried to mention it the technician became defensive. At that point We just wanted him to leave.
