The spinach & four cheese dip with pita was excellent though, although I wish chips were served instead of soft pita. Cornbread with that maple butter was TO DIE FOR. Highly recommend that. Bison burger was juicy, massive, and the fries were nice and crispy. What's not to like?

We were seated upstairs on the balcony, which was a nice spot and had a great vibe. The service started off fine, but things quickly went downhill. It took over 20 minutes to receive our drinks after ordering. While bringing them out, our server accidentally spilled an iced tea all over the table and onto my white pants. Mistakes happen, but we were surprised that there was no apology, and the response felt very dismissive. Shortly after, while we were cleaning up, she came back and sprayed cleaner on the table but accidentally sprayed it onto me instead. Again, there was no acknowledgment or apology. A few minutes later, she brought out a replacement drink, but it was the wrong one. When we pointed it out, there was some confusion and we were initially told it was correct before another staff member came over and brought the right drink. Unfortunately, the food was also a letdown. The bison burgers were extremely dry, and the ribs were so tough and chewy that they were difficult to eat. We were really hoping the meal would make up for the service issues, but it left us disappointed. Given the issues, we expected the spilled drink would at least be removed from the bill. Instead, we noticed additional drink refills on our tab that we didn't order. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, especially because we had been looking forward to trying this place. Hopefully this was just an off night, but based on our visit, we wouldn't recommend it.

Our server was very friendly albeit a bit frazzled, but the vibes were great all around. One of the best things about Banff Ave Brewing is that all appetizers are half off on Fridays (at least during happy hour)! They also have a nice selection of beers. Their flights are neat in that they offer 6 options instead of the more typical 4, so you can try everything you want to try. We had the nachos, poutine, and several beers. The poutine was a bit salty but the nachos were excellent, definitely get the beer cheese sauce as an add-on. I also got to try a special dragonfruit kolsch they had on tap, which was really mild and easy drinking as well. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Banff again!

The day was perfect for outdoor dining and people/traffic watching on a Sunday afternoon. The beers were cold and refreshing! The Elk Burgers were juicy, tender and delicious! Highly recommend! I enjoyed just sitting there and watching the world go by and soaking up the mountain vibes while sipping my Hazy IPA. Our server was friendly and on top of things... Making sure we had refills as we wanted and that our waters were filled too cuz the Mountains tend to dry you out. Especially when drinking alcohol. Ha!

The…read morerestaurant is kind of tucked away in a mall, but there are signs advertising it on the main street. It was a particularly cold and windy day so some Korean soup sounded amazing. We came around 3PM so it wasn't too busy. The place looks a little dated and seems like it used to be a different type of restaurant but that doesn't really matter to me. The food is good which is the most important part. Then banchan came first and there weren't as many dishes as I'm usually used to. My favorite banchan is definitely fishcakes and they were missed here. The kimchi was good though and so was everything else. I ordered the Sokkoritang or Oxtail Soup. The broth was super flavorful and milky while the oxtail was super tender. This was so comforting after being in the cold for a few hours. I could sip on the broth all day. It wasn't overly salty, in fact it was under salted but they provide salt for you to salt the dish to your liking. My girlfriend got the Galbitang or Short Rib Soup and she seemed to really enjoy it. The short ribs were cooked well and came off the bones easily. The broth was nice and beefy. Service was good. I can definitely recommend Seoul Country.

Gamja Tang - Really nice and comforting. Its exceptionally delish. Meat is super fall off the bone tender. 9/10   Japchae - Noodles are a bit overdone, but the flavors to forgive the soggy noodles. 7.8/10   Hameul Pajoon - Pancake is pretty, a bit skimpish on the ingredients. Other than that its a pretty good pancake. 7.3/10   Assorted Banchan - Kimchi was pretty good, the spinach was ok, the bean spouts are tasty and the reddish was superb. 8/10   Bibimbap - Pretty Good,, a bit more flavor is needed but the Gochujang does take it home. 7.5/1]   Bulgogi - its a bit on the mid side. Some flavor needed, but over all not bad. 7/10   Galbi -  Actually nicely seasoned and marinated. It stands by itself. I adore a good galbi. 8.8/10 The setting is pretty nice. Service was on point and I would highly recommend for a proper sit down meal after a long day of looking around. My running group that I was traveling with brought our party to the Elk & Oarsman for a quick dinner. This place is a lodge-style sports bar that is located in the heart of the Town of Banff. There are TV screens all around that show live sports and a large fireplace. You can see the beautiful mountain scenery from the rooftop patio. It was nice of Elk & Oarsman to accommodate our large party. The service was great here. Elk & Oarsman is a sports bar that serves good food. The menu has a variety of pub fare favorites like bar snacks, sharables, salads, flatbreads, elk dishes and burgers. I was starving and ordered the Buck Hunter because I wanted to try something with elk in it. This elk & bacon burger patty comes loaded with condiments on a brioche bun. I really liked the tasted of the smoked mayo on my burger. I also got a Broccoli Cheddar Soup on the side. Banded Peak Brewing is a popular beer made in Alberta that is named after a mountain in the Canadian Rockies. I grabbed their Amber Lager to pair with my dinner. There is a fun lively atmosphere here at Elk & Oarsman. I was only here for brief time, but enjoyed it. This is a solid place to check out if you like sports and good food.
