Ridiculous prices! 30 cents a minute to use the computer, $1.79 or $2.49 per page to fax...depending where you need to send it. Cheapest thing to do in there is probably the black and white copies....but of course there is a $5 hold on your card to copy or use the computer. You'll only be charged for what you use, so move quickly on the computer. One perk is that the computers internet is fast, but 30 cents a minute, is still a bit much to be charging. read more

I had the best experience today at Staples in their print shop. I had a DIY invitation kit I needed to set up the format for and have printed. I am not computer savvy, but was determined to do this on my own. Thankfully Andrew, held my hand, walked me through the process and I was able to format my invitations- mostly on my own! Andrew was patient in helping find tune them and the finished invites turned out better than I imagined. Thank you Andrew, my invites are gorgeous, within my budget and done in a timely manner. I'm sorry but I had to post this. I went to staples yesterday Tue morning. I needed it to use the ladies restroom before making my purchases. Someone opened the door for me since is a code access. I went in and smelled like there is a dead animal or something. Smelled very bad. And then both toilets are horrible. I'm sorry but Staples needs to take care of this. Is bad. Was my first time using the restroom at this place and I been in this location as customer many years. But never got to have to use the restroom till yesterday. Employee and a manager was not very helpful. I tried to return something that they had incorrectly charged me. However the manager said you'll have to return everything. I explained the rest of the items were charged correctly but he didn't seem to understand. Customer service: Lacking. Not much smiles. Not really willing to help. I saw a customer had asked about recycling ink and one of the employees said you have to get in line, but she asked how many could be recycled in a month, not where or what to do. Another employee at the register said "Good morning" just probably as a job requirement to a customer who walked in because she didn't even look at him. Not one of the six employees I saw in there ever smiled. Perhaps it was a Friday and they were just tired but they sure didn't show they wanted to be working at Staples. read more

NOT KOOL! Doesn't honor their own prices! I've been coming here for years. 80% of the time, I'm dissatisfied by one thing or another. Mostly it's just petty stuff like horrible product placement or store members that do little more than to say hi as you walk in the door. I continue to shop there because 1) Apparently, I'm a slow learner and love the challenge of anger control and 2) it is convenient in its location to me. My yelp reviews are either 5 star or 1 star. Here is the philosophy behind that. I don't give reviews for "mediocre" or "expected" service. I pay you, you give me service or a product or both...and that is the expectation..That is nothing to write about. In order for me to sit down and give my review for free, you either had to 1) Impress me with something unexpected or out of the ordinary in a positive way or 2) really piss me off... This Staples store is a #2. Now, I don't derive this poor opinion of this Staples store for any one single bad day, but rather an accumulation of bad days over the years with this year being the worst of all. The latest occurrence happened today when I was to purchase ink for my hp printer (that I bought there earlier this year..that horror story for another rant...Its a good one though..Nearly had to get the police involved with that one) ...But back to the ink...The sign in the ink area says they have a 110% price match guarantee..meaning that that if they are not the lowest price in ink, (and you can show proof), they will not only match the price but 10% more..When I showed them the price at Office Depot that was $5 less, the salesman offered to match the price. I said well what about the 110% offer..He says yes, we will do that too.. ....But it was a different story at check out...there, they only would match the price. nothing more. When I pushed for an explanation, the acting manager Tim says, "we don't offer 110% of other stores" ...WTF???? My GF who is standing next to me and has way more patience, couldn't help herself and asked "So you only offer 110% If I find it lower at your own store?" and believe it or not, they said "yes", that was their policy. UNFREEKING BELIEVABLE!!! We of course did not buy the $106 package of ink and I will try harder to avoid this store even if it means driving a few miles further. Literally, the time before this that I was in the store was for printing. We had 100 Christmas cards made..We ordered online (the website for doing this not user friendly. Very Horrible...but that is for another rant since it is not directly related to this store's service)...They sent me a proof that I ok'd...When I got the cards, one of the words had a big gap...the proof didn't...and the photo that was to be printed was super dark and our faces looked orange...I compared it to the proof and it is night and day...The proof looked fine. The finished product was a mess! I didn't complain but knew that that it would be the last time I used Staples printing. If I can upload a photo comparison, I will. Not sure if Yelp is going to let me. The previous time I used Staples printing was also a nightmare. It's a long story so just suffice to say that the original order was screwed up twice and it took a third party to get involved and make the corrections enough to where I could live with it. Was never what I paid for or expected to receive but in the end after much hassle, they got close enough...That is how I felt about the Christmas cards, that is was not what I paid for or expected but close enough that complaining would take more energy than it was worth. And then there was the time about a month ago when we went check out and they wanted to charge me twice as much as the shelf price. And get this, the cashier treated US like we were causing HER some inconvenience because we asked them to check..Of course I was correct and she gave me the difference (after much eye rolling and sighs of disgust from her)...as I'm completing the transaction, I noticed a big sign at the cashiers desk that says something to the effect that "if our stuff rings up a different price, will give you more than just the difference...blah blah blah"...Forget it! I was not about to deal any longer with a hostile cashier who blatantly refuses to honor their own story policy...My GF though, felt strongly enough to speak with the manager about this girls condescending attitude....and that was the first time I ever saw my GF complain about service anywhere. read more

This location of Staples makes me think about what a store in the Soviet Union would look like during Cold War. The store is haphazardly laid out, the store shelves are half full or empty and one can't help but get the feeling that either their supply chain is royally screwed up or that they're on the verge of bankruptcy. Came in to the copy and print center today and had an exceptional experience! Alejandra was thee best. Super helpful. I needed to make some prints of some invites and she came out onto the sales floor and brought me over a cut out invite so I could compare it to the envelopes. I needed to fax a document today, I called around and Staples was the only store open today that would allow to fax documents. I called in advance , I walked in faxed my documents. The employees were helpful and gave me the privacy needed to fax . Once I was done, employees promptly asked if they can further assist? The whole experience was great !! Pretty much always find what I need. Got a good deal on a really comfortable gaming chair and the employees are always friendly and helpful! Now for easy tech. In December I brought my laptop in because the hard drive was dying and had them install a solid state drive. They were quick and knowledgeable about everything, and also didn't talk down to me when I was explaining what was going on and what I needed. Then, a couple weeks later, my roommates laptop had the same issue. I ran the same tests and brought it in. They replaced it and everything, but unfortunately during the process, the network card got knocked around and broke. They were quick to order a new one, and replace that as well. They also gave us a temporary replacement for her to connect to the internet while we waited for the replacement to come in, all free of charge! Bought a Staples brand chair here and the backrest did not fit correctly. its tilted on one side and nothing lines up. I brought back same day and they would not exchange the chair and my only choice was a refund which takes up to 3 business days to show back in your account. But online says you can "return or exchange" when viewing that same product. Its a bummer because i liked the chair and color. All the chairs on the floor had defects and were deformed so its hard to get a good feel for what your purchasing. I had to drive pretty far so i'm not happy with my experience. The chair was obviously poorly made and showed other signs like the stitching coming loose in the arm rest. I dont know why they rather lose business then just give the customer what they paid for. They need to fix their exchange policy for faulty chairs. read more

I was in Rverside from out of town. I usually go to the Staples in my town because it's clean, has great service and always has what I need. Right when we walked in the store we were shocked by how dirty and cluttered this site was. We used the copy center and had other customers literally on top o of us. We had important documents on the tiny work space and a costumer set her Star Bucks mocha frappuccino frightfully close to our important papers! I just about had a heart attack worried she would spill her drink all over my paper work. The girl at the UPS counter was helpful but needed to learn how to spell properly. We were going to try to upgrade or phones but no one ever came to even see if we needed help iv the phone department! Wow what a huge disappointment. We won't be returning to this store again. As much as I love shopping for office supplies, I get upset when I can't find what I'm looking for. The employees here are friendly and helpful, but I've often walked out empty handed. Why? The store itself is just like any other Staples I have been to. The issue with this one was I went to purchase a new printer and I had some difficulty dealing with the staff and the "manager in training". I had a few questions about using my rewards coupon and the printer trade in policy. Nobody seemed to have any solid answers for me. I ended up buying the laser printer I wanted, a toner cartridge, and some ink for my ink jet. The bill was really low for what I was getting but I figured it was from the coupons and trade in and left. When I got to the office, I looked at the reciept and noticed they didn't charge me for the $100 dollar toner cartridge. I went back to the store and I showed the reciept and the toner to the manager while I explained that I didn't see where the cashier had charged me for the toner. His response was; "I don't either, well go ahead" and pat me on the back.... I was in shock...He wanted me to take it for free!!! I explained to him that I already had it for free and I was bringing it back to pay for it and show them their mistake...he seemed dumbfounded...he went ahead and had me pay and gave me $10 off for my troubles. To this day, I still can't believe that the guy wanted to give me $100 of company property free of charge...I appreciate a good deal but I won't support theft for any reason!!! read more

On Friday 2/16 we went to staples around 830 pm. My husband tablet was getting a virus message and we weren't sure what to do. Donnie the tech supervisor ( sorry didn't get a last name)took his time to assess the issue and helped us fix the problem. He was friendly, professional and very helpful. We appreciate his help. The printers were out of paper and the employees were not helpful whatsoever when there were multiple employees not doing anything. The printer computers charge per minute so we were charged several dollars for having to wait for the useless employees. We ended up going and finding paper on our own. read more

I went in with my thumb drive to have a large document printed and I was greeted by several people. The person doing my printing was very helpful. Printed my items right then, no waiting. Then lended me the hole punch to put it in a binder. The self serve area provided me with paper clips and sticky notes. Very helpful! read more

When it comes to getting digital images printed, this place is absolutely ridiculous. I take in digital images saved to my email. Staples says great, just email then to us than we will email you back a conformation code, than we will print them here. Really? Isn't this supposed to be a full service printing business, cant we cut out the middleman? Nope, you have to go through this unnecessary process. So i send the two digital images i have to the address provided by the associate. 20 minutes have gone by, i still haven't received a code and no pictures in spite of all my time here, to have 2 8x10 pictures printed. If you need pictures printed, and your expecting the process to be as simple as any rationale person would think it to be, than whatever you do, do NOT go here. I go in to buy poster board and a marker. Simple enough right? Well, I get to the cash register and my posterboard doesn't have a skew. Honestly, that's my bad because everyone knows what happens when you show up to the register without a skew, haha. Anyway, there's a supervisor behind my checkout person who is listening to her ask someone for a skew. I look around the store and see two people stocking shelves and look back at the supervisor who has now noticed the line behind me has grown to 7 customers. The guy who came to help my checkout person was redirected by the supervisor standing behind her to start helping with the line. Another checker comes up and my checker asks her to get the skew before she starts taking customers in line. Supervisor says no and instructs my checker to go get it. My checker looks confused so I jump in and say "give it to me, I'll go." Supervisor looks at me and goes back to what she was doing. I get back with the skew only to have to stand in line again to pay. What should have happened was that the supervisor should have gone to get my skew once she saw that a long line was forming behind me. Don't make copies here! I went in and made 7 black and white copies on 81/2 by 11 paper. They post that each copy costs 9 cents, but don't provide a receipt when you run a card (debit or credit). I went to the customer service copy counter and asked for a receipt, which the employee printed after running my debit card again. The receipt showed a standard tax of an additional 6 cents, so the 7 copies were 69 cents (just under 10 cents per copy). Today my bank shows two charges at this Staples, 69 cents which I have a receipt for, and another $1. This means I paid $1.69 for 7 copies on a self-serve copier at the store, making each copy actually cost 24.1 cents! When I called to ask them to adjust it they said I needed to come in to the store so they could investigate. I imagine they would enjoy running my debit card yet again. Find a copy service elsewhere and avoid this store! read more

So earlier today I was at American Tires getting my aunt's car fixed how to cross the street to get some breakfast with my five year old son took my phone from him after he was playing with it so we could cross the street once we crossed I noticed I didn't have my phone in my pocket I turned around to my son screaming now watching an F250 run over it I decided to run over to Staples to see if I can get it fixed they quoted me cheaper than my own Sprint store they even Price matched for me because i was short on cash. The customer service is through the roof and it's good to know that there's good business being done by good people.
