This is my absolute favorite restaurant. I used to go here twice a week during college, always getting a plain grilled chicken grinder, fries and a Mountain Dew. It got to the point where they saw my number, answered and just took my card info. The bread is so tasty, the seasoning on the food is delicious, and every time I visit (I moved to Texas years ago), I try to stop here at least twice to get my favorite sandwich. I ordered the chicken cutlet Club and it was delicious. One mistake they made was that they put the mayonnaise on the bottom bread. This made the sandwich a bit soggy and on top of that they put some of the toppings on the bottom bread when in reality they should have put the toppings either in the middle of the sandwich like because it's made of three pieces of bread or towards the top. I ordered the food on GrubHub and they came right on time they came on the earlier side which I was surprised but another mistake they made was the delivery guy couldn't find my place I don't think he typed it correctly and the GPS. One other issue is that the onion rings tasted really weird they weren't horrible. It was just that some of the onion rings they made they used onion that you weren't supposed to use so they don't know how to peel an onion is another mistake. I also ordered apple juice but they gave me Snapple fruit punch I'm not mad cuz I like Snapple fruit punch but they messed up my order on that part too. I honestly think I'm being a bit generous with the three stars butt the sandwich was delicious the toppings are fresh they should have made the bread a little more crispier. First, I love their late delivery. I accidentally fell asleep and woke up starving. Try a Philly steak delivered to your door at 2am. It was quite tasty! When I lived in Hamden, this was my go-to local pizza place. The sauce on the pizza is sweet, which is so unique to the area and is not typical New Haven style pizza. I simply came here for the wings. I was extremely surprised at how good their lemon pepper wings were. The buffalo wings were tasty as well. No complaints over here except that you can not split the wing flavors. I had to get 2 separate orders of 12, instead of 24 in two different flavors. I've been their client, however this business relationship ended here. Food is just average, what make me write a review is the poor customer service and policy that they showed. I placed an order on January first online, and I got the email confirmation with a time frame for deliver (30 min) and a receipt of the money took out of my account. An hr and a half went by and with no response to my calls, I realized that they were closed (it said that it was open on line). They haven't call to apologize, neither refunded my money. I finally got to talk to them after few days and the lady who answered the call was extremely rude. When I expressed that I was frustrated on that day she said "so you need to go to a therapist for you frustración don't need to call us ". Order from here on an empty stomach. My boyfriend and I were in the mood to pig out this past Sunday and took a drive up to Hamden just to get some wings and garlic knots. (I've had them before at my aunts house- she regularly orders from there). I like my wings crispy with as little fat as possible. These wings make the cut and the flavor is outstanding. I ordered the lemon pepper and my boyfriend got the barbecue. We figured we'd get a small pepperoni that was good too. My only suggestion is that they leave more room for crust (that's my favorite part of pizza). We ate in because we wanted the food hot and fresh. I think the pizza here is something like Greek style, I'm not sure, it's a bit weird. Thin crust, sauce is too sweet, canned mushrooms on my pizza. That said, we ordered garlic knots and they were absolutely delicious. I don't know how they manage to get the bread so soft while still being garlicy and what not. I am highly disappointed in my order. 45 minutes turned into over an hour. My husband ordered pasta with meatballs and they were out of spaghetti. My mother-in-law and I both ordered shrimp scampi, I had the linguini and she ordered the ziti. Her came with three over cooked shrimp and no sauce. Mine had more shrimp, but they were also overcooked and tough plus there was almost no sauce. I'm not saying it should be drowning in scampi sauce, but enough to coat the pasta and shrimp! I have no clue how my husband's pasta and meatballs are, never mind the calzone. And when we called, they offered a credit on the next order, but we don't plan on ordering from them again. We were looking for a pizza place to go to and bring to her house we found Star Pizza. They're always good nice and oily just where I like it. They have a large menu to choose from which is wonderful we've been calling Star Pizza for an order I can't tell you how many years now. The guys or girls that bring your order to the house are always pleasant and not all are looking for a tip. I love the Star Pizza special everything's on it. But there's one thing is a butt. Sorry Star Pizza. Now that the townhouse diner is having pizza delivered to your house I must try them first I hope they're not like Domino's cardboard. If for some reason start Pizza they don't stand up to my qualities and my taste buds we will be back but I we really need to try Town House Pizza we've been going to Town House Pizza since day one. The pizza is edible in the same way that the cardboard box it comes in is technically edible. If you order from here, I'd recommend actually eating the box instead - it certainly has more flavor. Been ordering from here for the last 3 years. Just a small take out joint with a few tables inside. Was our go-to quick fix place since there isn't much that delivers on our side of Hamden. Until last week, I would have given an overall 3-4 stars. I have had many grinders from here that were delicious - toasty bread, fresh ingredients. But pizza has always been hit or miss. Unfortunately last week we ordered what had to be the worst pizza I have ever gotten from any pizza joint including the likes of Dominos. We ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and I swear, it tasted like it had been in deep freezer for 2 years. It was disgusting, the pizza was so dry you could snap a slice in half with your fingers. I could barely chew it, the crust was so hard I thought I might break a tooth. I get sometimes you freeze crusts in advance but this must have been sitting and drying out all day. The chicken was like dust. If I hadn't picked the pie up at 9:30 (they were closing at 10) I would have driven back over there to show them how awful this pie was. The wings were spicy but rubbery, not crispy at all. The steak and cheese grinder was small and had hardly any cheese. The onion rings were pretty good with real onion, they needed a bit of salt but other than that they were decent onion rings.
