Grilled Chicken Grinder and French Fries

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. I used to go here twice a week during college, always getting a plain grilled chicken grinder, fries and a Mountain Dew. It got to the point where they saw my number, answered and just took my card info. The bread is so tasty, the seasoning on the food is delicious, and every time I visit (I moved to Texas years ago), I try to stop here at least twice to get my favorite sandwich. Can't recommend them enough!!!

Onion rings, French fries, chicken Cutlet club

I ordered the chicken cutlet Club and it was delicious. One mistake they made was that they put the mayonnaise on the bottom bread. This made the sandwich a bit soggy and on top of that they put some of the toppings on the bottom bread when in reality they should have put the toppings either in the middle of the sandwich like because it's made of three pieces of bread or towards the top. I ordered the food on GrubHub and they came right on time they came on the earlier side which I was surprised but another mistake they made was the delivery guy couldn't find my place I don't think he typed it correctly and the GPS. One other issue is that the onion rings tasted really weird they weren't horrible. It was just that some of the onion rings they made they used onion that you weren't supposed to use so they don't know how to peel an onion is another mistake. I also ordered apple juice but they gave me Snapple fruit punch I'm not mad cuz I like Snapple fruit punch but they messed up my order on that part too. I honestly think I'm being a bit generous with the three stars butt the sandwich was delicious the toppings are fresh they should have made the bread a little more crispier. I love the french fries the french fries were wedges and it tasted good.

Thier food is much better hot but I guess you can't get it delivered to have that. I had to recook my soggy scallops to enjoy my daughter ate wings but after waiting an hour and 10 mins to get food we were hungry.

This place uses spoiled seafood and pasta!! They are way over priced, and very unprofessional... when I received this pan of mush I tried to file a complaint and the owner hung up in my face!! That's no way to treat a paying customer!! Customers are what make you stay in business! If the customer isn't happy, well... that's not good!! I won't stop posting bad reviews about this terrible ass restaurant until they honor my complaint!! Be fair, be courteous and be professional... even more importantly, be a man!! Just admit that your establishment served me a bad product, and refund the $30 I spent!! It's only right! You wouldn't pay $30 for this shit!!!!!

I simply came here for the wings. I was extremely surprised at how good their lemon pepper wings were. The buffalo wings were tasty as well. No complaints over here except that you can not split the wing flavors. I had to get 2 separate orders of 12, instead of 24 in two different flavors. Ill be returning just for the lemon pepper!!!

Pleasantly surprised! Got the broccoli and chicken ziti. It was tasty and very hot and fresh when I picked it up. The chicken was sliced thin and crispy on the sides, just how I like it. I'll try them again.

And we sure found a good one in Hamden on Friday. We saw refrigerated cases full of pastas and raviolis, counters with trays of pizzas, showcases with trays of prepared foods like sausage and oeooers, eggplant rollatinis, and seafood marinara, a sandwich counter for cold cuts, and a baked goods counter. We narrowed our want list down to three very different items. We bought two slices of their sausage pizza, two garlic knots, and three eggplant rollatinis. The pizza was fantastic! Super thin crust, plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of cheese, a very good sauce and delicious sausage chunks. Oh, and the slices were enormous. We made a dinner out of the eggplant and garlic knots. The eggplant was sliced so thin, and was so soft and tender, it resembled lasagna noodles! The rollatinis were loaded with ricotta cheese and marinara sauce and it was a fantastic dish. We split the three rolls and let me tell ya, one and a half rolls were plenty for dinner. The garlic knots were ridiculously loaded with garlic, not teeny tiny shavings, but big hunks of garlic cloves. Needless to say, they were fantastic as well. Our total cost was $24.66, and Sapori threw in four complimentary slices of fresh Italian bread with our order. We really loved Sapori a lot.

We had the ricotta and honey on toast, meatballs, prosciutto/mozzarella to start, some white wine and of course PIZZA! The pizza was light and cooked perfectly. We had the Dolce Salato and the Diavolina. We loved the Dolce Salato! The Diavolina was good, but I think some more spicy salami or maybe an additional spicy component would have been a good addition to the pizza. It needed just a little bit more on the flavor side. But still everything here is high quality and I would recommend! Service was excellent. We were immediately seated and had the option to sit inside or outside. I first sat inside, then we moved to a larger table outside. What I really appreciated as a new mom, was their openness and flexibility for coming in with a stroller. I was nervous to be a burden to the restaurant, but they were super accommodating. Thank you On room for improvement, I think on a hot day, having the inside space being much much cooler, than the outdoor seating (especially for newborns/really young kids/elderly) would be beneficial. Yesterday it was cool inside to start (and remember I chose to move outside), but they started to leave the front door open to allow for easy movement of staff and guests between inside and outside, which made the indoor space get warmer over time. And I totally get that for the ease of movement for staff/guests, but maybe consider keeping it super cool on the inside, so that kiddos/elderly have a cool space on a really hot day to not overheat. The vibe here is great. Chill, warm and light! Come with family and/or friends and enjoy!

Of the two the clam casino was definitely the winner. The clam casino had a good amount of clams so that you really a taste of the clam and the fresh garlic pieces in the pizza really added a kick. The eggplant is very interesting if you want to eat meat but don't want to eat meat. The ricotta eventually got too heavy and the eggplant seems to have been fried before baking so it gets a little oily after a few slices. The bread of the pizza is bit more on the breadier side and the crust didn't really have a flavor. I am a big fan of the New Haven style crust where it is thinner and a bit more on the burnt(but not fully burned) side, but this has potential. It would be great if they seasoned the crust a bit more to give the pizza a more complete taste from start to finish. Overall the pizza is pretty decent. They came on time when I ordered for a timed delivery and they notified me when it was left at my door step. May try again.

The plain pies, mashed potato, and the mangia special were my favorites but really everything there was top notch. There is nothing that I wouldn't order again. The crust is nice and crunchy. Good char on it. Sauce was delicious - not sour like straight from a can. Toppings were better than I expected for a small pizza spot. Sausage was tasty. Mushrooms were fresh not tinned, fresh tomatoes and basil. Tons of clams on the pizza. Bacon was thick sliced and left almost whole. Eggplant was sliced thin. Generous with the toppings. I was promptly greeted at the door by a hostess who cashed me out and brought our food out (Medium tomato pie with mozzarella, small sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom and a slice of flourless chocolate cake: $50+). All-in-all, the takeout process was great. A bit pricy in my opinion, but somewhat expected given the area and hype around this place. Onto the food... I had the original tomato with mozzarella. My wife had the same but with mushrooms, sausage, and pepperoni. In my opinion, the medium is more like a typical large and a small was more like a typically medium. So, you do get your money's worth in quality and portion size. Definitely Neapolitan-style pizza done well. Light airy crust with a nice balanced sauce with a fresh taste. The cheese-sauce-crust ratio is just right. In conclusion, being the "pizza capital of the US" brings with it some VERY lofty expectations, in my opinion. However, I can honestly say I've had equally good Neapolitan-style pizza in southwest PA (and some equally overall good pizza in Pittsburgh, PA, Wildwood, NJ, Savannah, GA and Nashville, TN). Again, this is a solid pizza worth having but if this is an example of what earned New Haven, CT the "pizza capital" moniker, then whoever dubbed New Haven, CT with that moniker needs to travel more of the US.

This place is small, unapologetic, and full of character. Decorative firewood stacked with intention, walls filled with wine corks, and #10 tomato cans repurposed as pizza stands. Walk in and you immediately catch the vibe, exposed brick, distressed plaster, a slightly industrial, almost factory-style feel that somehow still feels warm and welcoming. The centerpiece of the room is the wood-fired oven, running hot and glowing with that perfect orange flame. The aroma of burning wood hits you right away and sets the tone. From that moment on, the culinary experience is in motion. We ordered The Mootz and Breaking My Meatballs. Both pies are built on a very thin, tender crust with beautiful leoparding. The dough is flavorful and clearly well-fermented. Sauce is applied with restraint, just enough to support the dough and cheese without overpowering them, and it delivers a clean, bright tomato flavor. Breaking My Meatballs was the standout. Homemade meatballs, herbed ricotta, cherry peppers, mozzarella, and that same balanced sauce. The cherry peppers bring a sharp vinegar tang that cuts perfectly through the richness of the ricotta and meatballs. Every bite hits a different note, and it all works together. Easily one of my favorites. The crust across the board was thin and tender with a delicate smoky char from the wood fire, exactly what you want from this style. Bottom line: Great spot. Excellent pizza. Super friendly staff
