There were a lot of choices, but a good compromise for me and the hubby was the hot honey chicken, and it did not disappoint! The chicken was nicely breaded, the hot honey had just the slightest kick, and a good balance of sweetness, plus the pickled slaw on top... party in my mouth! I have to say, although the bun was decent, it just didn't compare to the rest of the sandwich. I ordered through Ubereats for their 4 tenders Nashville chicken, and the fries were extremely soggy due to the fact that it was drenched in the chicken sauce. I'm not sure if it was just this location, but the one in the plaza by Brokaw is definitely much better. 1.) The Nashville tenders were not as crispy as how I remembered it previously. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this Starbird location. Firstly, they messed up my order. Since they only offered takeout at this time due to Covid 19, I tried to call in to get a replacement for the order, but we could not reach anyone at their restaurant. Secondly, the incorrect order that they did give us was close to inedible. The chicken was dry and cold; the sauce on the nashville hot chicken was clumped together in one area on the chicken. The bread of the sandwiches were extremely stale and untoasted. The fries were soggy and also cold. The only redeeming quality about the meal was the sauce, but what's the point of a good sauce if you can't eat it with anything? The wifey and I were at the Pruneyard Shopping Center in Campbell with the kids, and Starbird Chicken just happened to be having a soft opening today. (The official grand opening is 11/12/20.) A manager named Rick was friendly and helpful, and he gave us complimentary chopped salads. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are very fresh and from what I read they are locally grown and organic. The owner of Starbird Chicken sounds like he gives back to the community, and I appreciate his efforts to create healthier alternatives to the usual fast food chicken spots. A generous 3 stars for being gluten free, I give the actual flavor and quality 2 stars at best. Next time i want fast food chicken I will risk the gastric distress and go with the far superior Chick-Fil-A or drive an hour to Raising Cain's (totally worth the drive, BTW). Chicken tenders were gummy, the fries were forgettable, and even the much hyped sauce just wasn't all that... not too mention it was also poorly mixed with a wad of whiteness I avoided whole dipping. Years ago I went to Starbird on Brokaw and was extremely disappointed. The chicken was dry, the fries were cold, and the place was dead empty. The experience I had last night changed my mind. We ordered a Nashville hot sandwich, a Nashville hot tenders box, a Korean taco, and The Starbird sandwich. The first thing I was impressed with was the price; we've been getting Nashville sandwiches at food trucks for over $14! My boyfriend loved the sandwich. He said the spice was the perfect level. For the tenders, I can vouch that the spice was perfect. I Was also pleasantly surprised at how moist the tenders were on the inside. They came with fries and coleslaw for $11! A steal. The taco was not my favorite. The flavor was there but I don't care for breaded meat in tacos. Another awesome thing about Starbird is they give you unlimited extra sauce for FREE. Delicious chicken and excellent customer service! Gf and I were checking out the menu when an employee let us know that it was Friends and Family night. We stuck around and we're glad we did! We got a spicy chicken sandwich, regular chicken sandwich, fries, lemonade and cream soda. Spicy chicken sandwich had a nice kick to it and tasted juicy. Finally tried this spot! Was good if you need something quick. The register is at the front of the door and the lady was very friendly. Ordered the Korean style wings and they had a nice kick to them. On the smaller side, but they give a good amount so makes up for it. The chicken sandwich was really good, but the bread is way too large, so it makes it look pretty bare. Chicken tenders were really good. Almost like a cornmeal crust so they stay pretty crispy. Downside was that they didn't give us slaw or the requested sauces with our box. Went back and they said they ran out of slaw. Wish they would have told us prior and was surprising they were out since it was only 2pm. Fries had a nice salty fry seasoning. Lemonade definitely won me over. Altogether was about $36. My main concern with chicken is always if it's going to be dry... this was the perfect balance of crispy and tender. Passed the test there! It tasted slightly sweet, which I typically don't like for meats, but still good//tolerable. This was probably due to the Greek yogurt ranch already meshed in the sandwich. I also got a side of Star sauce - a softer version of BBQ sauce or very similar to the salad dressing used in Japanese restaurants. If you're a rookie looking to spice up your palate, this may be just up your alley. Biting the chicken alone, there is a subtle kick, but as a whole the spice is lost among the sauce flavors. I would opt for "make it blazin'" next time! Simple ordering and safe pickup process to accommodate Covid19 times. You could even order via their kiosks outside. I have now ordered twice from this location, once was through their app, and once was from a third party food delivery app Grubhub. Both times the chicken was very good, hot, juicy, tasty, I loved it! The fries were cold, hard, and tasted like paste, totally unedible. I think the coleslaw is fine, I don't care for it, but slaw is one of those items you either love or hate, and theirs is just ok to me. Overall I think you need to be desperate or have plenty of extra money to have this food delivered because a 4 piece box will set you back $28 with all the fees and taxes. If you want Starbird go grab it at the location and use the $15 dollars you save while you eat your hot fries (hopefully) and put 3 gallons of gas in your car. read more

Their coleslaw was amazing the first time I tried it but super bitter the next time. Fries and tots are really good. We did have to reheat, but I think that's to be expected in these times. I knew my family would be excited about this place. I did not realize the batter they use is gluten free!! This is a win for me. I have been dreaming of fried chicken for years. They are not a gf facility so cross-contamination is always a possible risk. I have been twice and not a single problem. I usually order the tender box because it ensures I will have leftovers. If you are a french fri addict, this place will satisfy that craving. I didn't love the kale slaw. I don't personally enjoy kale. The sauces are great, the service has been fantastic. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken tenders and it did not disappoint! It was packed with flavor and super crispy. I got the korean glazed tenders and was good but not great- there was too much sauce on top of my tenders which made it kind of soggy (the fries on the bottom also got soggy). Ordered boneless chicken wings ($12.95) and Nashville fries ($4.97) and a small lemonade ($2.97), prices that won't break the bank! The chicken wings were a tad dry, maybe due to double frying, but that can easily be remedied! The fries were slathered with sour cream, grated cheese and house dressing- yum!! Also ordered three sides of sauces (house (a little spicy), Greek and blue cheese). Loved the house- had a hint of horseradish & cayenne pepper.
