    Galibi chicken Wings

My son was having a craving for their spicy wings. We ordered galibi sauced wings and a side of onion rings. Each item was flavorful and crunchy! This is our second visit and equally as delighted.

Bbq chicken does not miss - we love getting either the original spicy or gangnam style wings (when I'm craving a saucy wing). The chicken stays crispy for a good amount of time. Their tteokbokki is standard, but a nice side especially when you dip some chicken in the sauce. Service is fast and friendly. Our go-to korean fried chicken place when we want to spend a lovely night in.

We went by last night to get dinner for the fam. It was later than we normally order. I called first, but there was no answer. I decided to still drive by since they close at 9. Was able to find a park pretty quick. When I walked in, I immediately realized why she was unable to answer- they were swamped and it was one person working the front. This review isn't about the food- because it's always amazing. It's also not about the wait- because it's to be expected when the food is a 10/10. It is to remind folks to be kind!!! Even though she was overwhelmed, she still did her very best to serve ppl, take in-person orders, as well as, taking the online orders off for the kitchen. She was very apologetic to every customer that came in. Even to the rude man who showed up at 9:12 expecting to place his order knowing they stop taking orders at 9. Hats off to her because the disrespect was more than I could handle. I wasn't able to get her name, but to the woman working the front last night: THANK YOU!!!

"Whole chicken" portion was small and didnt expect chicken pieces to be cut up

Ordered the golden original whole chicken for $36. The chicken was crispy but the portion and the size of the chicken was not what I was expecting. The amount of chicken was more like a half chicken and I was expected the pieces to be whole (thigh, leg, breast etc) versus cut up. Not worth the price. The chicken itself was crispy but on the drier side. Kimchi fried rice was good. Not sure if I would order from here again

I didn't even know that there was a bbq chicken opened here in Oakland! I've been to the ones in socal many times, and was really happy to see there was one opened here. My friends and I came by and ordered to go! It was street parking, and during the time we went, parking wasn't too difficult. Service was quick. We waited for about 20 mins while our order was being prepared! The quality was the exact same as I remembered. Delicious and crunchy! Bbq chicken is one of my top favorite places for Korean fried chicken, so I was glad that the quality was just as good. We ordered the spicy original, soy garlic, and spicy Caribbean rice bowl (which was sweet). Overall, food was great and service was quick! Would recommend for people to try if you never tried bbq chicken before.

I've had bb.q chicken in SoCal before, but it's been several years. Found out there was one in Oakland, and decided I was in the mood for some sweet and spicy Korean chicken wings! Ordered online, and that process was straight forward. Parking sucked, but got there on time and my order was almost ready. Small front here, but they do pack a lot into this small chain. Friendly staff as well. Not much room to eat here, but it seems most are to go orders anyways. Tried the following- Wings of Fire - yes, I dare to eat Korea's spiciest wings. Omg they were really good! Packaged nicely as well. A lot of flavor plus the spice. Thought they'd be spicier, but they were really enjoyable to eat. Yes, I do have a pretty high spice tolerance. Gangnam Wings - love the variety of flavors they have here. These were nicely balanced as well. Even the breading and meat / size of wings were excellent. Mala Ddeok-Bokki - ahh the texture of these rice cakes were so nice and chewy! Can't wait to order more from here. Good to know there's a solid Korean chicken spot around the neighborhood!

Came on an evening that called for some chicken and decided to stop by here since we all now know in 2025 BBQ chicken makes the best fried chicken world wide! If you don't know ... I advise you to find out fast. I've eaten at other bbq spots but this by far has to be the best one thus far. For some reason there's come out even cleaner and crispier and juicer than others... and others are just as good, but this spot is just even better. It may be small but there's constantly a line of customers locally picking up orders. Extremely clean facility all the way from Outside tables to their bathroom! 5 without a doubt

I ordered the sando and fries combo and enjoyed them at the picnic tables nearby. 5/5 Chicken sandwich I'm no fried chicken connoisseur, but I really enjoyed this sandwich. My mild fried chicken sandwich was crispy and savory with a hint of sweetness. The coleslaw was a creamy tangy addition that paired well with the sandwich. It's nice they offer various spicy levels; the mild is flavorful without burning off your taste buds. 4/5 Fries were nicely spiced with cajun-esque flavors. Not spicy at all. They included a mysterious (aioli?) sauce that went well with the fries. Fries were crispy though without the pillowy insides I crave. The portion was huge, quite shareable. I also tried a few bites of the thick gravy seafood etouffee. Other folks in my party were impressed with the flavor and generally liked it, but I didn't care too much for it. You might enjoy it if you, too, enjoy curry-type food. I don't often eat fried or hot chicken, but I consider this to be one of the better spots locally.

Casual southern spot for fried chicken sandwiches. Don't be afraid to turn up the heat!…read more The menu offers flavorful versions of southern comfort foods. We ordered a chicken sando, the chicken and waffles, and a couple sides -- the greens and etouffee. The sandwich was the clear highlight: moist chicken thigh with a breaded crunch, covered by a thin layer of mayo coleslaw. The light, sweet crunch of the cabbage and carrots gave balance to the dark meat. The waffles were crispy but just soft enough you could wrap them around the chicken to make a sweet sandwich out of that dish too. The server was very friendly when we came. I expressed curiosity about the different heat levels, and he shared nuggets batter d in the medium and hot sauces. He shared our excitement at trying the hot stuff! For the record, the medium is hotter than your typical spicy chicken sandwich and probably a safe go-to. The hot level just cracks "painful" but not unmanageably so -- might be fun as a treat. TBH I was pleasantly surprised by how much flavor each sauce packed -- and how different they were. The medium is especially sweet. Go for the sando. Crank up the heat. It doesn't miss.

Quality/Quantity - You have been on my list to visit since you opened. I drink your beers in most (if not all) the local Korean Restaurants in the Bay. And at some non Korean restaurants. Today I enjoyed your Chuseok Porter, well a few of them... This by far was my favorite of all the beers I drank and tasted here. Also tasted the following: Dokkaebi IPA - Light and refreshing. Lemongrass Witbier - I can almost taste the lemongrass, another light and refreshing beer. K-Beer - Again, another light and refreshing beer. My daughter had the Calamansi & Tea Lager - This actually had more flavor then all the beers I drank except my porter. Lastly, my daughter noticed the Hazy IPA, Hazy Seoul. But I could not/did not want to drink any more. I guess I might have to rush over again before they close. For our snacks we got: KFC, Korean Fried Chicken - Not as authentic as I would have preferred. Gimmari - Wow, a home run. It helped that I have never had this before! My daughter says we will go to K-Town next time we are in LA and she will introduce me to Korean "street food." Looking forward to it. Atmosphere - Small local brewery.
