This place actually catered an event at my apartment building in Jack London, and the food was so good that my friends and I decided we had to visit the restaurant for lunch. I'm so glad we did! We ordered the Original, Spicy Original, Honey Garlic, Gangnam Style, potstickers, and the Rose Ddeok-bokki. The Honey Garlic wings were hands down my favorite--they were perfectly crispy, flavorful, and had just the right balance of sweet and savory. The Original and Spicy Original were also really good, and the Gangnam Style didn't disappoint either. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the Rose Ddeok-bokki. It just wasn't for me. The only downside is the price. An 8-piece order of wings is about $18.00 before tip, which is definitely on the expensive side. That said, the quality of the food makes it worth treating yourself every now and then. The restaurant itself is really cute, with a few outdoor tables and a small bar ledge inside if you want to dine in. The customer service has always been friendly whenever I've visited. Just keep in mind that the food is made fresh, so it usually takes about 20-30 minutes. Don't go in super hungry unless you're okay with waiting, or better yet, place your order ahead of time and take it to go. Tried two flavors based on the cashier's recommendation - gangnam and honey garlic. Between the chicken, I liked the gangnam one better because it had more flavor. I was told that honey garlic is their most popular flavor but it didn't stand out in my opinion, was good but not wow. The chicken comes out HOT HOT cause it's made to order so expect to wait 15-20 mins after ordering. The chicken had a nice crunch to it, I really enjoyed the texture. I think when the honey garlic chicken cooled, the flavor came through a bit more. The woman behind the counter was also really friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that you can't mix and match your flavors so it can be pricey if you want more than one flavor. Our total came out to about $70 for everything. The chicken here is done really well. It's probably been six months since my last visit. They fry their chicken really well where it's still crispy from pick up and the ride home until you're ready to sit down and eat. I noticed today that the wings have shrunken in size and that the wings were not as well coated in seasoning/sauce as they were before. One of my coworkers recommended this spot for lunch, so we decided to check it out. I will say the only thing I regret about going during lunch during the week (besides hunting for parking) is not being able to fully enjoy this wing adventure. This is one of those spots you get wings from and don't care about your t-shirt getting dripped on or fingers getting sticky because you've already put on gloves.
