Their newest store is located in the Linda Mar Shopping Center in Pacifica. Now if you live in the Bay Area, most know the story of this small family-owned bakery that started in Vallejo in the late 80's and has spread all the way up north in Vacaville and Sacramento to their most recent location down south in Pacifica. They now have a total of 7 (seven) locations if memory serves me right. I used to frequent the one in South City on Gellert Boulevard, but I've been to this location several times now whenever we are returning from HMB. It's always a pit-stop shop for a box of 20, and most won't even make it all the way home, if you know what I mean. What more can I say? They are inexpensive, addictive, sweet, buttery and delicious. And if you order 'em, make sure to request a batch of freshly baked bread. It's gonna be pipin' hot and it might burn your mouth, but it's worth it. No, not the burning your mouth part, but the delicious taste of freshly baked rolls on your tongue. Had called the business at least 2 hours before closing time; we were told the business closes at 7p and had confirmed there would be fresh seniorita bread available (call was made around 5p). Frustrated after finding out upon arrival that there were only 10 pieces available and purchasing seniorita bread was only available for preorder. Please notify your customers of all the details if we call or have it posted somewhere on your website to prevent people from traveling afar and being disappointed. They're around fifty cents a piece, so definitely go ham and get more than you think you want. There's a small discount for ordering more. I tried a few other items last time too. At a recent family gathering up near Sacramento, a good friend brought treats from the StarBread located up there. Filled Malasadas, large lumpia and the Señorita pastries. Treats were very good. They mentioned Starbread being in the bay area as well. I'm mostly frustrated & disappointed to drive well down into Pacifica at 1:00 in the afternoon and they only had the Señorita's snd a couple dried lumpia the size of a #2 pencil. Everything was picked clean or they were sold out of. I inquired about the larger lumpia or Malasadas we had up in Sacramento. The kid behind the counter said it will take 20 to 30 minutes to make the lumpia. They were done making Malasadas for the day. 6 hrs before closing???!! OK, I saw an Instagram video where he was holding a Senorita bread and everyone in the comments were raving about it and then, I went on Yelp to check out the reviews and how phenomenal it was. Funny thing is that I always came to this plaza to eat dinner all the time, but it was a few stores down and never noticed it, but neither here nor there. I walked in and automatically asked for the 25 pieces box. I mean, I'm not just going to get 5 or 10 since everyone raved about it. I also purchased the Leche Flan because I LOVE flan. I walked out, got to my car, sanitized and picked one up. It was piping hot to the point, that I had to keep switching hands. I don't know what I was expecting, but as I bit into it, I was waiting for the buttery taste and sweet sensation to hit me. I waited and it was fluffy, but I guess I was expecting more but it never came. It tasted ordinary, and maybe that it's because I'm exposed to these types of bread from Chinese Bakeries which I grew up with. At least it was an experience and I tried it. I personally didn't think that it was that amazing or out of this world, but it was good. I suppose for other folks, they found it to be a delectable treat, but unfortunately, it wasn't all that for me. So, when I got home, I decided to try my flan. I was excited and again, I was a little let down. The texture was harder than I expected the flan to be. So, between the bread and flan, it wasn't worth the calories in my book, so I chucked it. Ordered 60 pieces for a party. You don't need to call ahead (I made sure in case I needed to) if you want to order a large amount. I even went 30 min before closing and the bread was still super hot and steamy! Very delicious. If there is a line you might have to wait a bit since there are only 3 people working there from what I saw last time. I'm assuming 2 in the kitchen and 1 up front.
