    Seniorita bread
    Tiffany T.

I've had Starbread before in my hometown and was super excited to introduce my friends to it when we saw a spot in Pacifica. Came around 5:45pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty as expected. There weren't many pastries left (which is expected since this place is super yummy and we can late in the day). With that said, we ordered our 5pc of seniorita bread and it came out piping hot within a few minutes. This spot doesn't have any seating so it's just grab and go. We ate our bread in the car and finished within 5 minutes. I will note that I think the batch I got was a bit on the soggy side and didn't really hold its shape. Didn't impact taste, but I do wish it was a bit more "sturdy". Will come again when I'm in the area!

My coworker brought these into the office and they're so good! I'm not sure what it is but I downed 3 of them before I realized

Always a yummy soft treat when visiting Pacifica. Used to have better deals with the more you buy, but now it's all the same. Never tried anything else there except for the starbread, so hope they can stay in business just selling those.

Starbread's señorita bread is always amazing. Hot and fresh, buttery sweet gooey soft. Get a bigger box than you think because they go down fast, and then sit there like a fat warm lump of sticky regret in your carb coma after. I like showing up at potlucks and parties with a box - it'll be the first to go, especially because it's so good warm. This is a convenient location when going to the beach! Grab some coffee from starbucks and a box of starbread, and go enjoy the breezy Pacifica/HMB sand. They also sell various filipino snacks and desserts here. I tried the empanadas. The chicken/pork/beef seemed to have a similar savory seasoning and bits of carrot/corn/peas, and the ground meat. They were good, BUT they were insanely salty the day I tried them (all 3 fillings). Hoping it was just an off day because the flavors were good otherwise. The señorita bread takes a few minutes but it's totally worth the wait when they hand you that heavy warm box. Remember that the oily sugary filling seeps out a bit, so put your cardboard box in a bag or under something washable, rather than directly on the floor of your car or on the seat.

One of our favorite cheap eats - Starbread's Seniorita bread! There's really nothing like it - it's a simple little roll that's buttery and lightly sweetened. They're always fresh when I order them and they should be enjoyed right when you get them! The shop itself is small and organized, they had plenty of other traditional filipino sweets like pastilla de leche, malasadas, ube hopia, they even sell lumpia. But if you're only getting a few things to try - make sure you at least get a box of their seniorita bread as that's their specialty, and for good reason!

Been a fan for a long time. Still a fan! Those senorita breads are honestly a staple. Whether you come to buy them for potluck, treat, or just for your own pleasure, you know it's good for all occasion! Once you order they come out in literally two minutes and they come out hot! I ordered 30 pieces for $18, which is not a bad deal at all comparing to other places. Love that they still have other locations still open. Definitely try any of these locations you have not yet !

    The Senorita Bread!

10 years ago my youngest son played on a travel baseball team with a boy who lived near a Starbread Bakery. When we had early morning games, the boy's family would bring Seniorita Bread from Starbread. It was an amazing Summer. We won multiple championship trophies had the most Incredible coaches epic team swimming parties and our families bonded well, watching our kids thrive, doing what they loved the most. It still would have been a great Summer without the Senorita bread, but like the Carly Rae Jepsun song, "Call Me Maybe" these rbings take me back to the Halcyon Summer of 2012. Today I took my oldest son to the beach in Pacifica and we were both starving! In a fortuitous twist of fate, I looked up to see the Starbread sign. Could it be? It was the Senorita Bread Mecca! ..., or at least one of tge Starbread Bakeries... and they had a full menu of sweet and savory pastries and Alex's favorite food, lumpia. Alex was a little agitated and antsy, grabbing at a cardboard flower that was sticking out of a plant and ripped it up... The sweet girl behind the counter gave us such great service and when I commented on Alex's cut of his tbumb, she sweetly included two band aids with our order. This was patient and spectacular customer service! Our order was as follows: , five lumpia, 20 Seniorita Bread, a chicken and a beef empensda and a ham and cheese pastry. I got one bite of the chicken empenada, one lumpia and four glorious pillowy, yeasty, sweet and buttery Senioritas. Everything was fantastic, but Starbread is all about the Senorita Bread,. Alex was sooo happy and we drove him back home witb Seniorita Bread for his friends. They taste just as delicious without the championship baseball season. Sometimes, a smell or a song, or a taste can take you back. It turns out, sometimes, you can go home again. Go get yourself some Seniorita Bread, more than you tbink you and your group need, and create an amazing Summer memory for yourself!

Came about 25 minutes before closing and got lucky to still be able to get 40pcs of the senorita bread. Fresh out the oven is the best! We also got some pork and chicken lumpia. Very bland to me but drown it in sauce and it's good! Two people working and they had good customer service.

I had no idea there was a Starbread in Pacifica. I've been to the first one in Vallejo, and really enjoyed the treats there, so it's really exciting to see one all the way out by these beautiful beaches! This is located in the Del Mar shopping center. Got to visit on a weekday, and there was absolutely no wait, and no line. If you've never had the Señorita bread, you need to order some right now! They are small finger like rolls that are dusted with light breadcrumbs on the outside, and they are airy, sweet, and warm on the inside. And sometimes gooey! Always so fresh, like it's right out of the oven! Warning, these are highly addictive, and you will probably lick your fingers clean when you're done. Absolutely a home run with a group, and in a party, so order the big big box! But make sure to take a hike or walk in these beautiful hills and mountains while enjoying the view. These little bite sized goodies pack a lot of carbs and calories. Live life and enjoy!

If they're busy, they might forget to call your name and you'll need to go get the food yourself, which is frankly impossible to fathom when you come from San Francisco. But Pacifica is different, y'know?   Anyway.  ------------------------------ First, the turkey sandwich. 5/5 I'm guilty of expecting the meat to be the focus on a sandwich, but in this case the turkey was the filler, which, as a carnivore, is there a better meat filler? Bread, dijon, lettuce, turkey, queso. The dijon did for flavor what the lettuce did for texture, throwing in a twang that kept the sandwich interesting. Its creaminess tag-teamed with the cheese to keep the sandwich in one piece. Great sidekicks. The turkey was... Nothing special. Clean but mundane, for the star of the show was the bread.    Some of you might roll your eyes.  No shiet, Sherlock.  THIS. IS.  A bakery.   Cuz some of you might roll your eyes.  It's just bread.    But this isn't wonder-bread. It's dense. It's got a chew.   The sourdough is minimally sour, hearty, with a thick, hard crust, and made matrimony with the turkey. A lil bit of salt, the slightest tang, tango-ing into a single texture. Those of us who've had an egg sando in Japan understand how the softness of the egg salad made the softness of the bread fundamental. The turkey here wasn't slipping anywhere, though it complimented the meatiness of the bread. This, sandwich, needs, teeth.    I hope you weren't expecting to eat turkey without teeth. Perhaps that's tofurkey you're thinking about.   The crust was hard too. A well supported, almost crunchy hardness, and a far cry from the st-ale pork rind that the free bread in Mont-real would remind you of. I ended up turning the sandwich sideway as if I was enjoying a taco.   The best panera you'll get and a supreme sleeper.   ------------------------------ The second sandwich: 4/5 The sesame studded hoagie, on the other hand, was nothing short of Guns N' Roses. This sub had a KISS of intensity from the seared meats, a KISS of spice from the mayo and capocollo, a KISS of sharpness from the provolone, and a single leaf of romaine to give that little crunch and freshness, so you can tell your mom that you ate your veggies. There's going to be a rock concert in your mouth. With each element in a bit to prove their existence, it ended up being too intense for us. With these all being strong flavors, it's amazing that you could still taste everything. And they work well together. It's just that your taste buds will send an SOS, walking out of a Black Sabbath concert feeling a bit drained, like Spongebob breaking down after working the tables at Squidward's five star restaurant. The crustiness of the roll, the studded texture of the sesame, the meat escarpment slipping out, you will have no more desire for thee. Water. Something to cleanse the mouth.   If you're one of those among us who gets sweet emotions eating curry without naan or rice, this could be your bad medicine.   * Keep it simple, stupid.

FOOD: 9/10 COFFEE: 8/10 SERVICE: 8/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 FOOD: 9/10 I love getting an Avocado Toast from here. Their sourdough is thick and yummy. They lather the toast with a lot of Avocado, so you definitely get what you pay for. I love their generous sprinkle of everything but the bagel seasoning! I love their pastries as well. No notes. No comments. Honestly, just really good, no matter what you pick. Just know, they definitely sell out for sure! COFFEE: 8/10 I've tried 2 different crafted lattes from here and thought they were decent! I ordered a standard Iced Vanilla Oatmilk Latte, and it was okay! It was neither the best I've ever had. I do like how I can taste the espresso shot, and the drink wasn't too milky. I also tried their Seaside Shakerato (I think that's what it's called, I forgot) and that was yummy! I loved the salted caramel taste, but the drink was slightly too milky and sweet for me. I would still get it again, haha. SERVICE: 8/10 Service is pretty standard out here and straightforward. AMBIANCE: 8/10 The space is simple, but the view of the open kitchen, along with the display of freshly baked pastries and loaves of bread, really adds to the ambiance. There's a good amount of indoor seating, though it can fill up quickly in the mornings. Thankfully, they also have outdoor seating available.

Without hesitation, he remade it right away and even offered me the first one for free, which I thought was really kind and showed great customer service. The matcha itself was decent but it wasn't nothing mind blowing but definitely good enough to enjoy and sip on. It had a nice balance and wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. What really stood out more than anything was the service. The guy was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive, which made the experience better overall. The service is OK the staff there collect your money and get you on your way so really nothing to complain about there. The bake shop and ambience is that of a typical Chinese style bakery you walk in and you grab your tray along with the tongs and you pick out the specific pastries that you want, and you put it on the plate and give it to the staff person at the front near the counter.
