I've been here so many times, the baristas know me by my name and order. I come here almost every day before work. For the most part, the baristas provide awesome service, my order is correct, and I get my drink in less than 5 mins. Lately, it's been quite slow. This is what I mean - I get there a little after 8:35, order my drink around 8:40ish and haven't been getting my drink until close to 8:50, sometimes 8:52. I start work at 9:00, so move aside while this crazy Asian driver hauls her butt to work! In their defense, mornings are their busiest, so plan accordingly, or take a late. You're decision. I always go inside when I'm in a hurry because the drive-thru is Crazy! Casey is the lady who normally takes my order and she is an absolute doll! The other baristas I know by their faces, but I can't remember their names right now (I'm sorry! You guys know I love you!). Overall great service and good coffee, what else can you ask for? If you're planning on taking the drive-thru, don't. The lines are among the worst. So unless you have time to kill, go inside and hope to God it's not busy in there too. read more

Wow absolutely unbelievable service this morning!!! So bad that I'm done with over priced coffee!! Usually 5:20 in the morning it's pretty slow, however this morning was different. There were about 4 cars in front of me and after literally 13 minutes of waiting in line I finally arrived to the drive thru window. The was a girl stocking plastic spoons a girl working the one person inside and one girl working the window. She finally brought my order over said sorry for the wait. I told her that I needed to get to work and her reply was I'm by myself. I told her that maybe the girl standing next to you should help and not stock spoons when theres all these cars in the drive thru. Got this eat crap look with a sarcastic have a good day!!! I used to visit this location daily when I worked down the street and went here way more than I really want to admit. I can only give it a 3* rating because of the horrible lines in the drive thru and the impossible parking lot. It has to be the smallest parking lot for how many great food places that this strip mall houses. You can NEVER get a parking spot unless it is on the other side of the lot and if you happen to score one they are incredibly small and I personably do not like parking in a small spot. I'm a freak about door dings. And the drive thru is in a really tough area if you happen to be there when it's long. Because if there is someone at one of the food establishments that face where you are waiting in the drive thru line and they are trying to get out of their parking spot, well it is just a big cluster muck. Their drive thru isn't particularly fast either but I usually get my drink right. I think once they forgot my sweetener out of the hundreds of times I've visited this location. I don't come to Starbucks often, but when I do, I usually go to this one. I don't have a staple order here but every drink and food that I got has been pretty good. Like all Starbucks, this place plays light music, free wifi and has plenty of seating. The staff here are always nice and provide good service. Five minute on line behind two people. Five, no make that six employees bumbling around behind the counter, store open for another few hours but almost empty. The five behind the counter seem busy in an abstract sort of way because they're moving around and yakking but not making or serving any food or coffee. Finally the tall blonde girl looks over at me (I'm #2 in line) and says "can I help you?" So I say "well I'm wondering why there's five employees doing nothing behind the counter and I can't get a cup of coffee?" to which she cheerily says "someone will be with you shortly!". Huh? Maybe one of the other 4 whoops FIVE employees next to you can help me or maybe help the girl on line in front of me? Short blonde girl senses a problem and steps up, pours my cup of coffee, I pay and and go, leaving 2 other folks behind me in line while the quiet girl in front of me was just ignored. Very strange. Oh, and no milk or cream containers on the milk and cream bar so I grabbed the milk gallon from the bumbling guy working the espresso machine although he was not actually making any coffee so I doubt he missed it. read more

This Starbucks location is great! They are super friendly and time efficient! I can literally order my drink at 7:35 AM and be at work at 7:45 AM. Yes, I work a few blocks down, but they are so fast! Parking is small, but I don't mind because I like the baristas here, and how fast they are! The girls here are so sweet, and always have a smile on their face. I also like that when I go through the drive thru they swipe my bank card in front of me, so that I can see where my card is at all times. This location usually always has people coming in and out, but they somehow manage to get everyone's drinks out quickly. read more

This Starbucks was horrible at customer service & making SIGNATURE drinks! Me and multiple family members are regulars at STARBUCKS just not this location & i will NEVER RETURN there again! Me and my family only went there that day because it was the closest location to the hospital we all were at! We had 2 separate BIG ORDERS. Both over $20. & they messed up on almost EVERY DRINK- we questioned a few drinks before we left the drive thru & not just the cashier at drive thru tried to LIE to us about why drinks looked they way they did....for example we ordered multiple teas...but one was strawberry acai with apple juice, i order this almost EVERY TIME i go to any Starbucks & never had the issue i did with 24th street location , it came out completely yellow with ZERO strawberrys in it & when I questioned why my tea was wrong, they lied to my face and said it was cuz i added apple juice! They didnt sweeten the passion teas, they didnt make our lemonade teas correctly && they didnt do the frappes correctly either!!!! We questioned them ALL & NONE out of 3 members working ever offered to make our orders right, they really all just plainly didnt care or have any explanation what so ever! IM BEYOND PISSED AT THIS POINT -& we leave , we went to a total different location Mt Vernon, just to get CONSUMABLE drinks, we were gonna end up paying for 2 separate orders for a 2nd time. & i asked the KIND lady working drive thru at mt vernon , about if i was wrong and showed her all our incorrect drinks &&& she apologized on behalf of a total different locations actions & reMade our drinks & gave them to us on the house! She did what 24th street should have done from the get go! -we were honest customers just wanting what we paid for to b correct! I appreciate her kindness! I came in & ordered an iced coffee during my lunch break. There was one other person in line ahead of me. I then proceeded to wait more than five minutes for my drink, while the baristas were busy making drinks for the drive thru line. I noticed an ice coffee sitting on the counter, close to where the drinks were being placed for the drive thru line. I knew it was mine, but I waited. A few more minutes pass, and I finally said something to the barista and asked if that was my drink. She said "Oh, yes it is." I don't know why it wasn't put out for me to take, especially considering it wasn't busy inside & they had 5-6 people working. Seems like it may be better to go through the drive thru line, as that's where the majority of the workers' attentions were. read more

The lack of morning motivation puts me in this Starbucks 2-4 times a week. Its a Starbucks, I'm sure you've been to plenty. The food and beverages are consistent with every other location. Notes: 1. Kasey is possibly the best barista in the state. She always has a smile and knew my name and order by the 3rd visit. If I was helped by her every time this would be a 5 star review even with the parking/busyness issues. 2. This is the busiest Starbucks in Bakersfield. 3. There are fewer parking spaces than businesses. This leads to some headaches between 8-9 and lunchtime. Parking on the east side during peak hours may cause you to play bumper cars with those waiting in the drive thru line. 4. The lobby is generally faster than the drive thru. 5. Brought my mom here while my dad was in surgery and she commented "What a cheery, nice place!" It was a great environment in which to wait and calm our nerves. My mom wasn't aware of the Starbucks reward program and the staff was very patient in trying to explain in to her. The best part? Angelenos, be aware....the fantastic pumpkin bread and lemon loaf are not gone forever! They have them in the Kern county Starbucks that weren't assimilated by the La Boulange take-over. The service is hit and miss here. Some of the employees are really great and remember your order and name; others will forget your food or drink when the line is long - and don't really care that they did so. Some understand timeliness is import, others seem to think you have all day to get a cup of coffee (first world problems right? But if I'm gonna pay for it, I expect a little bit more). The mornings get packed, especially the drive through. Lesson learned: 90% of the time it's quicker to go inside, and 100% of the time it's easier to not get a food item toasted or you'll be there forever and there's a good chance they forgot to even put your food in. read more

We were at this location around 6pm Saturday night and an employee named Tony assisted us with our order. I have met a lot of friendly baristas, and have met some not so friendly or professional at all esp since I go to a Starbucks daily but this young man was likely one of the best. Great personality, friendly demeanor and even though they seemed a little short handed in the drive thru he still went out of his way to be courteous and make us laugh while waiting for our drink. I managed to score quite a few gift cards to Starbucks over the holidays. What can I say...coffee never goes out of style and most people know it's my favorite meal... So, I've been making the rounds. Believe it or not, not all Starbucks are created equal. I take into account attitudes, as well as taste in reviewing, and there are chains that don't have as much flavor in their drinks. Anyway, at this particular location, the customer service was excellent. The gentleman taking the order was super friendly and had a great attitude, even though it was really busy, so I imagine it was a bit stressful as customers can get a little rude if they have to *gasp* (god forbid) ....wait for their order. I am not really in that location very often - so I won't say I will be back soon. But wanted to give a shout out for good service. read more

Your standard Starbucks, located in the northwest corner of a plaza on the southeast corner of a major intersection. You can only enter and exit from the west side of the shopping area, keep that in mind as you gauge your approach. I had a business meeting here and it definitely served i's purpose. I have had countless numerous amounts of negative experiences at this location and I beat myself up every time I go hoping that the service gets better. First of all there are some staff members specifically one who calls everybody ""friend, who are beyond rude and condescending. I will typically order my Starbucks drink through mobile and specifically at this location I will order at least 15 to 20 minutes in advance to still arrive at the location and wait 10 to 15 minutes longer for them to prep my drink. How absolutely ridiculous is that? I don't understand their system. Whatever method they are using it is flawed they need to change it and they need to get better staff members who are polite and who understand why us customers get so angry at that point. read more

The line progressed quick enough and I the barista greeted me very nicely BUT ... I ordered a mini Smores Frappuccino and a tall Flat White. Once he handed me my order I felt rushed, I asked for my receipt, he gave it to me quickly, I moved forward, and realized - he had not given me a straw for my Frappuccino and also it was missing the graham cracker topping. They were probably out of the topping, but it is nice when they tell you. The straw - that is a major inconvenience. I did not have time to double back through the drive-thru or park and run in for one as it is a crowded parking lot and difficult to find a parking space.
