    My drink

I used to love this Starbucks. My last 2 visits were not great experiences. The first one had my wait at almost 20min for a refresher while I watched the guy skip over my cup for a mobile order that came up after mine. Then the second I went back for a remake and the same guy stared at me. Then when he remade my drink they scribbled on it when I grabbed it i thought it was a joke but was stared at by him while i got my drink. I wish I was more welcome this was my favorite Starbucks

This is not metal grind like I asked for.

I've visited this location a few times, and unfortunately, I've had consistent issues. Twice I asked for Sumatra coffee bags and got decaf without knowing until I got home. More recently, I requested a 'metal' grind setting for my coffee maker, but it was ground far too coarse. At $15 a bag, I just expect a little more care with the details. Due to this, my coffee at home doesn't taste right! It's so simple to just grind it on the correct setting. I hope they can improve!

Was so excited to get my Starbucks today, the gentleman behind the counter was beyond sweet while ordering my tea. I had been sitting for a while and noticed that the girl who had come after me had already received her drink so I went to the counter to see if someone might have taken my drink by mistake. I asked the first girl I saw if a black tea had been made for the counter yet and was met with a rude retort of " I wouldn't know "eye roll" I just got here. I gave her a thumbs up and walked back to my seat. Moments later my drink was slid across the counter with the same attitude and my name was called. I grabbed my drink ( it was made wrong, unfortunate but it happens. I ordered a black tea with two Splendas and sweet cream, Farley simple) I directed my communication towards her letting her know it had been made wrong. The gentlemen asked what was wrong and I let him know it was just black tea. it was missing the sweet cream. He was kind and fixed it for me an apologized. She was annoyed, so I got annoyed and shared that I didn't know she had just gotten there and I didn't deserve how rude she was being to me as if I had bothered her by asking about my drink or correcting that it was made wrong. I wanted to leave 1 star because "Natalie" put salt in my koolaid today. But instead I'll leave 5 stars and just say be more considerate when you're serving others. We don't know when you clock in or out. The job is service, it's bad enough we get asked for tips before our drinks are made, so when we do leave a tip and get met with that kind of response, it really ruins the experience. To the other employees from today, thanks for your kindness. Give Natalie a hug. Hope she has a better day

this is the order, and for reference the name of the order was savannah, which she heard and put it down wrong purposely.

The barista was beyond disrespectful, and was on the phone with her other coworkers the entire time we were ordering. She was laughing and telling us to hold on while she talked to her coworkers. she kept having us repeat our order because she couldn't hear it over her phone. Then, after we got our first drink we overheard her talking bad about us saying she "messed up the name for the order on purpose" because we "ordered too many changes" and that we wouldn't wait for her. We ordered 2 ventis and one grande, and never even got one of the drinks. One of the WORST experiences i've ever had, and you can NOT catch me in there again.

I went twice to this location two days in a row because I enjoyed it so much. First with a friend and then I had to introduce it to my kids. The coffees and teas are delish and unique, as well as the smoothies and juices (I didn't try those but my kids loved them). We tried a variety of baked goods, the honeycomb bread is sooooo dang good! Filled with little pockets of cream cheese, drizzled with honey, and topped with toasted regular and black sesame seeds (I forgot to take a pic of this one, but I'll add it next time I go). We enjoyed all of the pastries we tried- not a crumb on our plates by the time we were finished! The decor is beautiful and unique. All of the employees super nice and helpful. You can ask them for descriptions or ask for a menu to see details and ingredients. They're open late too, so I think my next visit will be a GNO or a date with my hubby.

Upon entry I was taken aback by the beautiful art that appears hand painted on the wall. It is beautiful! I wanted to get a feel for what Yemeni coffee is and how it differs from other regional coffees and I did not get that. We ordered a coffee and a matcha and I was able to try and enjoy both. I think it's good coffee and matcha I just didn't understand how their product differed from anything else. It's not bad and I would get it again but I didn't get a feel for the region. I remember when I tried Turkish coffee for the first time and the richness of flavor and strength, Salvadoran coffee and its rich aromatics, Palestinian and its rich nutty textures via spice, but here I was left wondering. Yes, this is a pistachio coffee, but what makes it different? I don't know. Yes, this is a pistachio matcha, but what made it different. Don't know. Good sure, but I can't really describe how it is unique. The baklava, certainly, provided this rich information. Compared to other baklavas it was drier and crunchier in a way that was satisfying and light. I would prefer to eat this baklava if I was watching my sugar and calories, which coincidently I currently am. Other baklavas are more decadent and syrup/sugar heavy. I was left with a want for more out of how light and delicious they are. I hope to try their cake offerings soon! Would return to continue trying their menu and would love to see a no straw option for the lid along with a more sustainable cup!

The space is actually one of their biggest strengths there's a lot of seating, plenty of room to bring your laptop and work remotely, and areas where people can gather. It's also connected to a church, so it definitely leans into that community-centered atmosphere. Unfortunately, after going back 3-4 times hoping my experience would improve, the coffee has been consistently disappointing. It tastes burnt and weak at the same time like warm water with sugar. There barely seems to be any real espresso in the drinks. On more than one occasion, I've taken several sips hoping it would get better... and ended up throwing the whole drink away because it was just that bad. That's honestly frustrating, especially when you're paying for specialty coffee. The only drink I've actually enjoyed there is the pumpkin spice latte, that one was solid.

They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. Lots of options on the menu, the cashier was nice, customer service 4/5. Ordered Matcha Oreo Slush ($7.95), 2.5/5. It was sweet from the crushed oreos and chocolate drizzle on the side. Besides that, the slush itself didn't have too much of a taste, either too icy or milky. Costs $1 for water+ice cup. Ordered 3 piece Boong O Pang ($9.95 + $2 flavors), 2/5 . They were slightly crispy on the edges but mostly soft. I ordered the Oreo Nutella (+$1) which was my favorite though it didn't have too much Nutella filling. Next was regular custard which it appears they used a type of custard that's very sweet and more of a jello consistency. Last was Strawberry Custard (+$1), unfortunately it appears they used chunks of strawberries that either were out too long or stewed in something as the strawberries were very sour and soggy and tasted a bit fermented. It was these strawberry bits with the regular custard but the strawberries threw me off so I ended up not finishing. The underwhelming flavors on the inside and the lack of crisp on the outside made these soggy desserts that I would not order again.

They have a fairly large breakfast menu with multiple options (sandwiches and more). In terms of savory breakfast choices they have more variety than most other coffeeshop/order-at-the-counter places I've been too in Bakersfield (which seem to mostly just offer sweets). Bagels and Blenderz was really busy so seating was next to none. A New York-style bagel is a dense, chewy, and glossy bagel known for its distinct malty flavor, achieved by boiling in water with barley malt before baking. Key characteristics include a shiny, crisp crust and a soft, chewy interior. Bagel and Blenderz bagels: 2/10, no "chew" very dense and I can smell the yeast, definitely not a traditional bagel. Heck Panera has better bagels. These are more like very dense bread masquerading as bagels. I'm beyond disappointed. Additionally, no one in my house liked them. I don't recommend the bagels. Thumbprint cookies, I had high hopes for these, but they are rock hard. I expected a nice flaky cookie, similar to the thumbprint cookies from Smith Bakery.
