They always mess something up in your order. Don't order a cold brew, they've never gotten it right (ordered 4 times). This time they handed me a drink, there was no writing on it, I asked if it was mine, they said yes so I took it. Later found out it belonged to the ONLY other patron in the store and they tried to give him mine. There's only two of us! It was crazy. They need better training or more coffee. read more

Pulled up exactly at 12pm, almost expecting a massive line for lunch rush hour. It was the total opposite, I was greeted with smiles, and they jot down my order and had it to me within minutes! Ok. So how the hell does Starbucks run out of sugar when there's a grocery store within walking distance in the same shopping center????? Ridiculous! Also, the mobile order gives u all kinds of clover options that they don't have so u have no coffee ready when u get there. Kinda defeats the purpose of ordering ahead and having it ready. Thank goodness there are awesome employees here at this location now! My drinks are always ready on time and the service is fantastic. Thanks to all the friendly professional employees here, I'll continue coming back regularly. LIVID right now with this place. I would be giving one star, if it weren't for the girl who's usually working in the mornings. I don't know her name but she used to work at the Starbucks on rosedale and Allen and she's great. She's nice and quick and makes the drinks right. However, the other times I've dealt with other employees here it's not been a decent experience, such as this morning. I recently moved and this location is on my way to work so I go here now. Today I went inside to order since the drive thru looked backed up and wasn't moving. Every morning I order a grande chai latte with almond milk, pretty simple order you'd think. Seems like every time I go inside they are slow even though it isn't busy inside. They're constantly making the mobile orders quickly and servicing the drive thru customers first. Which I think is ridiculous, I walked myself into the store and didn't sit in my car like a lazy person. I think customers who walk inside should be provided drinks quickly. So this morning I'm standing there waiting for my drink for much too long of a time that I had ordered up front. they finally call out my name for a "mobile order" so I asked is this my order that I just placed up front? Thinking maybe they made en error by calling it a mobile order. She said simply "no this is a mobile order"....doesn't even ask me what drink I ordered!! How rude and unprofessional! So I stand there patiently while the time ticks towards the time I have to be at work. STILL standing minutes later until she finally asks me what I ordered, I tell her and she hands me the initial "mobile order" she called out 5 minutes prior that I had asked her about. WTF?!??! Now I was late to work by 5 minutes because of this rude girl. She had an attitude about it and didn't even apologize. Thank you for making me late to work whoever you are, blonde girl working at Starbucks this morning! I'll make sure next time I come through I'll have 20 minutes of spare time to waste before I have to be at work at 7am unlike half of this unemployed community. Waiting to pick up my daughter at this Starbucks and my car battery dies. No one on the parking lot had jumper cables. So Baldo, the barista on duty, not only made a mean Iced Carmel Macchiato, but also let me use his jumper cables. Saved the day! Great service! read more

Starbucks had a promotion for a free reusable cup last week which could then be used for the remainder of the holiday season for a $.50 discount for each drink purchased in the reusable cup. I went to your store around 9:30 and was informed they did not have any. No mention was made in the promotion about limited supplies. They did not honor their promotion. I showed the online promotion to the person at the counter and they could not have cared less. If you have a promotion, please honor it. read more

Maybe I was a little harsh with my last review. I was there this morning and the coffee is still not great but I know that. I know its gonna be eh. I know the service isn't great but I still keep going so I tried to figure out why I keep going and its cause its so dang fast! No other Starbucks gets me in and out of the drive-thru in 5 minutes. I stop at this Starbucks location each day when I'm visiting Bakersfield. I typically use the drive through. The service is consistently friendly and quick! Of all the Startbucks I've been to, and I've been to my fair share, they are the friendliest. This is probably one of the worst Starbucks that i have been to in Bakersfield. First, Sunday morning and they have run out of decaf espresso?!! How can a coffee business run out of decaf? I did not order anything. No other options were offered and i got an insincere "sorry". If you order a standard drink and modify it to your liking, they cant handle it. My friend has problems with her drink every time at this location. They made it wrong the first time. Before they remade it, the barista was almost scolding my friend for not ordering her drink correctly. (The last time she ordered she took a picture of the order label so she could get the same drink in the future. That didnt even work. Made twice and both times made wrong). There was absolutely no customer service, no empathy, nothing. Won't be going back to this location, ever! read more

This Starbucks has messed up with my orders more than any other Starbucks I've been to. Granted that this location is fairly new compared to other places- so I understand that incorrect orders can happen more frequently with newer staff. My issue with this Starbucks is that I have experienced a lack of good customer service when it comes down to the incorrect orders. It would either be annoyance written on their faces, silence, and no apology or ownership. Today, I went into this Starbucks around 7:40 and came out at 7:58 AM... yea I was pretty much late to work. The drive through line was standard. There were 2 people ahead of me in the in-store line. My iced coffee out in 5 minutes (which is great and speedy!) but my egg bites were taking a long time. I've noticed how other people who ordered after me were getting their hot food items before I was. I managed to ask the brunette Starbucks barista who was calling out orders if my egg bites will be ready soon, and she literally paused gave a scowl on her face. Gave no apology, and proceeded to ask the other worker who was in charge of heating up the food. Wrong orders happen, food can take longer than usual... I get it, but PLEASE step up with your customer service. Thank you. read more

I've been into this store a handful of times. I'm always greeted and treated well by the employees and the coffee is usually spectacular however I've noticed that the manager is a real jerk to the employees. She is just very rude and demanding and she has such a harsh tone. I sure would not want to work for her. And to act like that in front of customers is just unprofessional. I won't be returning to that location because I don't want to support someone who treats their employees so poorly. read more

I find myself going to this newer Starbucks location a lot, and from my first visit when it opened, I loved the interior design and decor. It is very spacious, which makes it popular among fellow college students to hang out and study. The staff are also friendly, and the drive thru doesn't take too long. It's a convenient spot in a shopping center, down the street from CSUB, and not too far from home. read more

I target this place with my girlfriend almost everyday after our workout. I love the atmosphere and their drinks but I have been forever complaining because we both order a soy latte, and yet not one time we get our drinks at the same time. They make us one drink and 5 or 10 more bites later after they make three or four other orders they give us our second latte when the 1 st one is almost cold. read more

Not sure they have the morning routine down. Was in drive thru for 16 min. When I got to the window my 1 drink wasn't ready.

Word of advice, don't try walking in to get coffee in the mornings on a weekday unless you've done a mobile order or go through drive-thru. It took 25minutes to get one drink! The counter was full of mobile orders and those kept getting made before the walk-in's. My order was wrong again. Best Starbucks I've been too in Bakersfield and the newest location. I'll be honest, I'm a coffee snob. I'm the girl everyone hates with a complicated order; but they deliver great results and are not just a subpar coffee joint in my opinion. I'm happy to give them 5 stars. Had a meeting until 6:30 this morning and needed my caffeine boost so over to Starbucks I went! The girl (blonde) in the drive thru was very professional and quick. She had a great attitude and took and made my order with ease and did an amazing job and like I said I'm super picky about my coffee. If I'm paying $5 for a coffee, it should be great! I had to create a tag for them and review them to tell people if you live anywhere near Stockdale or are shopping over there, GO TO THIS STARBUCKS. They rule. read more

One of the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. I ordered 2 frapps I've been waiting for 20 minutes and counting while others who have ordered before me are still waiting as well. Went to get coffee this am at 6:00. Ordered our usual 2 Americanos with ALOT of room. I asked him to mark the cup which he said he would. The 1st was made no room. I sent it back to be remade. They then brought out two more both TOO full. I asked them to be remade correctly. They left us standing there for 20 minutes then handed us two original made cups of coffee at which point I left!!! Unacceptable! I will be calling corporate and reporting this behavior. And speaking to the manager. Their coffee is too expensive to have to put up with childish behavior.
