1st visit today with my friend. 2nd person to review!!! Very good location, pleasant ambiance, peaceful and has a great view. Not busy at all since it's kind of hidden near office buildings. Great place to relax, chill and even work. They have nice seating areas, inside and out. No crowds to bother you at all. Think it'll be a regular rendezvous place to get my favorite Starbucks drinks and hang out at from now on. Definitely one of my favorite locations for Starbucks!!! Thanks to my friend for introducing me to this place. ----- Update as of 8/27/18 - Monday..... Now it's been like my 4th or 5th time to this Starbucks. Good service, nice place to sit inside or outside and the Baristas make the drinks perfectly.

Stopped in for an afternoon refresher. Ordered a cold beverage on the app and it was ready and waiting when I arrived.

There's a good selection of pastries and I ended up choosing a coconut cream cheese option that was pretty good and flaky. I wanted to try the pistachio croissant but to be honest it looks incredibly unappetizing. I wish the presentation was different. I did have their London fog and it comes with sweetened honey. So good! Service was really good. It's essentially self serve but staff are quick on the orders.

You pick your pastries from the self-serve shelves. Some items looked like they had been sitting out for a while and were a little dry, while others had just been restocked and looked much fresher. Most of the selection leans toward buttery, laminated pastries, such as croissants, Danishes, and croffles rather than baguettes or rolls. They also have fresh cakes displayed near the counter. The two pastries we had were both good and satisfying. The pain aux raisins had a moist texture with a gentle sweetness. The croffle itself was nicely buttery and delicious, although the cream on top was a bit too heavy for my taste. Prices felt reasonable for the quality and location. Service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the coffee was only lukewarm, which was a letdown. Parking really depends on the time and day. We were lucky to find a spot right in front, but the plaza gets busy since there are several popular stores/restaurants, so it can be competitive if you're aiming to park close by. Overall, I'm happy to have another French-inspired Asian bakery option in Rockville.

There was every kind of croissant you can imagine. I bought my favorite almond croissant. There were fruit and cream filled pastries. I bought a fruit and cream filled pastry too. There are cases filled with pastries. Service was great. I was waited on right away and they packed my box in a bag with a handle, to make it easier to carry. Au revoir, for now! There's seating inside, but the seating area is pretty small and some people were at tables looking like they weren't going anywhere anytime soon. It was a nice morning, so we were able to grab an outside picnic table. The service was decent. One disappointment was when the counter person asked me if I wanted room for cream in my coffee, I said yes and asked if they had nondairy products. She said they had almond and soy. I asked for soy and she returned with my drink. When I went to pay, I saw they charged 79 cents for almond, soy and oatmilk. Ok. Here's the thing. I assume it's on the board and I should have looked, but she also could have mentioned it. Also, charging for these items when they put a little in your coffee leaves me feeling like I'm being abused for not being a dairy person. I get it - it's a pastry shop and the items are buttery and rich from cream. But please - 79 cents for a little soy milk? (I know this isn't uncommon for coffee shops, but it doesn't make it right.). And the coffee ($4.25) was decent - not great. I expected better (richer, more flavorful) coffee from a nice pastry shop like this. Anyway, it's a nice neighborhood place and there's a lot of treats there.

Great place for a seafood dinner and to pick up fresh seafood if you're dining in the market…read more As others have said (thank you for helping other Yelpers out), do make a reservation if you want to dine in the market. I called and got the small bistro table for two in the back by the bar. I wasn't sure this little table was going to hold three plates of food but with some creative angling, we made it work. We walked in at 6:00 pm and there were plenty of staff in the back at the bar but no one said anything to us, not even a greeting. So we stood for a little bit by the door until we moved closer to the bar. Finally someone asked us if we needed help. We said we had a reservation. But it did take a while for them to come back to get our drinks and order our meal. A bumpy start but all is forgiven since we did very much enjoy the food. I got the crab norfolk with fries and broccolini on the side. If you love crab as much as I do, there's nothing not to like about the crab norfolk. Lots of tender and delicious crab cooked in butter and vinegar. I savored every bite. The other entree was a special request and we're grateful that they were able to accommodate. We asked for a fish and chips and without hesitation, we were told it was possible. The fish was the cod in a nice batter. Our server was helpful and friendly once we got served. I'm thinking of sitting at the bar next time which seems to have more room for all the plates we want to order. The desserts looked great but we will have to try them next time. Plenty of parking. Noise level was normal.

Tatte has a lot of seating, however, they are so popular it often feels small when waiting in line to order. A few times I have visited I could not find a table and had to take my latte to go. If I visit outside their busier hours or I get lucky I have snagged a table and had the luxury of drinking my latte at a table inside. Despite how crowded it is inside I can always hear my friends and carry on conversation indoors easily. Occasionally it has been hard to hear when your order is ready so I definitely recommend checking in at the pickup area to make sure you get your latte while it is hot. So far my favorite latte is the Black Sesame Latte with nondairy milk. It is not too sweet, a little nutty, and so smooth. I especially love visiting Tatte in the fall for their version of a pumpkin spice latte. The syrup they use is dairy free which is challenging to find. I do wish Tatte had more vegan options, and more clearly labeled on the menu what can be modified to be vegan. Part of the reason I have not tried any of the food is because navigating the menu as a vegan is challenging. I hope they can make some changes so I can have breakfast or lunch with my latte in the future. For now I love visiting Tatte for a treat yo self moment. The lattes are my favorite in Rockville and a wonderful pick me up if I need to brighten my day.
