Ordered two drinks, the ones behind us ordered 5. 1 out of 2 was ready but the ones for the order behind us were ready so I understood they may have been quicker as cold drinks but then to top that the drink was wrong even though they wrote it out correctly, but was already gone so was not able to have it fixed and who knows how long it would've taken. This is my go to Starbucks as it's down the street from my employment. As I don't drink coffee anymore, I bought some drinks for the girls at my work while I was in the neighborhood after C3 church women's prayer. This parking lot in this area gets super congested especially at lunch time and it's not as big as I would like. Luckily, I came in right after 8:30 am so the morning rush was already over and plenty of parking spots right in front it. There was no one in line so I was able to get my order in right away but they had a few patrons at tables doing their thing. The wait was not long (it can if you go at lunch time). The person running the show was very fast and effective and didn't even have time to get comfortable at a table. *The only thing that was not cool was that it looked like someone came in the lobby and made a mess. It is early days, but I may have found my new Starbucks! The store at Melrose and Sycamore is less than one mile from my home, but it has been mysteriously closed temporarily. I hope they re-open, but if not, I will be buying and picking up my Starbucks and pastries from the Loker store. Wow!! Super staff greats patrons upon entry. I was there to collect a mobile order and when the sad news that my ham and cheese croissant was sold out the personable partner kindly offered other potential replacements. I made my selection and she popped my pastry into the oven immediately. It was ready within a few moments and I walked happily out the door after being told to have a nice day. so i just went in to buy a venti chocolate almond milk shaken espresso.. and this guy i fogot the name! but the tall one with long hair! i told him oatmilk instead of almondmilk i asked him how many espresso would include the drink he said 4 and i said can you do only one shot of decaf thats it! extra 1 scoop of the chocolate! and tadaaaah he made my drink with 4 shot of decaf.. and he said he's gonna do it again.. i clearly told him only 1 shot of the decaf and thats it i dont want the 4 blonde shot obviously!!! now he made 1 shot of of decaf and 3 of the blonde shot!! and when i told him its not what i wanted! he acted like he's pissed! so i just asked for a refund.. try to go more training so that you would know how to make your drink! i wouldnt made this is you havent acted like your pissed like its my fault! read more

I love this Starbucks! The employees are nice, and plentiful. There's a lot of seating, both inside and outside. Outside seating is behind the shop, with no view of the parking lot or strip mall. It's peaceful, sunny, and has several good umbrellas. Lots of different types of seating, too: couch types of chairs with end tables, normal cafe tables & chairs. The parking lot is a bit small and crowded, but I've never been unable to find a spot to park. read more

This will be a surprise review because the experience is so out of norm for a Starbucks. The store is large with a number of tables inside and out. On the patio you get a view of planes landing at Palomar Airport. However, the patio furniture is very worn, and the patio area very untidy and dirty. My review is mainly for the service I receive in the early morning! I am a loyal 4:40 AM customer and have been for the past two years. Like anyone else, there have been times my drink did not come out okay or an employee is EXTRA cranky. I have to take into consideration that it is very early. Other than that, my experience with the regular early morning crew has been close to perfect! The manager, Theresa, is wonderful and very customer service oriented. The best thing about this Starbucks location is the patio. Plenty of outdoor seating that overlooks the small local airport landing strip. It's fun and relaxing to watch the puddle jumping planes land while sitting in the sunshine, surrounded by birds of paradise! Customer service here has changed a lot! I think that with different management and newer staff, this place has made a major turn around. Had a lot of difficulties with awkward situations with staff at this place for a while, now they know me by name and try to make sure they try and guess my drink. If I called a Starbucks mine this would be the one. I frequent here most. They are always friendly. The cold coffee is usually stale or burnt but now since covid it's been great. I took a sip today and thought, damn this is the best coffee I've ever had here! No joke. The environment isn't the same. But everyone was still super friendly, always saying hi and bye. Sucks that we can't sit down there and that they are taking such extreme measures but at the same time I think I appreciate their efforts. You walk in one door and out the other. Nothing is available to touch, they hand you your drink and straw and whatever else you need. As a medical doctor, I do really appreciate that they are not wearing gloves! So important for everyone to stop cross contamination that comes with wearing gloves instead of washing hands. Thank you to my local Starbucks for starting my morning off great! read more

A great Starbucks but what makes this one stand out is the staff. They have very little turn over here so you expect to see the same peeps here time and time again. I think the regular patrons appreciate that the most. We used to take my father-in-law here where he'd meet his buddies to talk stocks and finance and the Starbucks crew would always take really good care of him. We always appreciated that. Times to avoid: early morning and lunch time. I'm in Carlsbad for a few hours today, so I wanted to find somewhere I could quietly work on my computer while sipping on a drink. So the number one need: WIFI. I found Starbucks as the closest location. I'm currently here right now writing this review and, like all other Starbucks locations, there's FREE WIFI. It's 1:18PM, so before I walked in, I expected there to be a line going out the door. And there wasn't! The line was long, but it moved so quickly. There are three very friendly and attentive baristas working, and they're making sure the line moves at a fast speed, drinks are being made as fast as they're ordered. And all the while, they're having a good time. I always order the shaken Passion iced tea, two pumps instead of four and with light ice. I like my teas with a subtle sweetness. And I know it's Tazo, a quality tea. The passion flavor is a syrup though, hence the "pumps" but most flavored teas are. No complaints there. All I look for in a quiet place to work is enough chairs and tables, free wifi and a quiet and friendly atmosphere. Found it. There's also plenty of seating outside so you can bring your puppy to hang out with you. And if you're just working and looking for some alone time, like me, there's a Subway and a few other restaurants down the strip.
