This is by far my favorite Starbucks to visit! Dana the barista went above and beyond for me and my girlfriend. Our cold brew came up a little bit light for our taste and Dana fixed it immediately. I appreciate the dedication to customer service of this location.They have a sign outside with their phone number in the event that you mobile ordered and don't have time to park...they will bring your drink to your car! I live in Orange County and my girlfriend lives in San Diego and this is definitely my pit stop moving forward on the way up and back! read more

This is the second best Starbucks I went to. This is my first time going to this location and I want to come back. I go to Starbucks pretty much everyday, because I am a screenwriter and also I study. I like that it's close to the beach. A 12 minute walk and a 2-6 minute drive to the beach depending on traffic. It is on a main street and is not attach to any other business. There is not a drive through. The noise level is average although. Music plays in the background and it's not loud. I can still hear myself talk and I can't hear it over my earphones. There's a lot of natural lighting and the baristas are friendly. Its clean inside and outside and in the bathrooms. It's spacious with a lot of seatings that is spaced out. It feels almost like a loft. There's outlets for tables along the walls and they have a laptop bar; a long table with outlets underneath the tables. It is chilly inside like most Starbucks. Also there's a patio with multiple seating as well. Everyone here is either studying, working, relaxing after a long day, or meeting up with friends before they go hang out. Since I was here from 3-8 pm, I know the atmosphere stays the same which is friendly and relaxing. There's a mixture of teenagers and adults making it a great balanced vibe. Most people here are friendly and respectful. Two things I was personally looking for are gender neutral bathrooms, but since the woman's restroom has multiple stalls I don't have to wait. Even if I did , I would go into the men's restroom anyways. I am not sure if the man's restroom is a single stall. I was also looking for a recycling trash cans. But, it doesn't bring my rating down because it doesn't change the fact that this is a cool study lounge and hangout for everyone. read more

Waking in me, my bro, & sister in law actually exclaimed "OH MY GOSH WHAT IS THIS?" It's so spacious & open! The ambiance was very modern & inviting. Service was welcoming, prompt, & orders on point. I have been looking for a good study spot. And this has been my go to Starbucks for months now! I am there all the time and the environment is so amazing and the comfy seats to study in for hours... because I am there for 4-6 hours at a time! The manager Jeff is amazing and so sweet! It's a Starbucks. So the drinks food are what you would expect. But the minus three stars goes directly to the people who designed this location. The parking is ridiculous. Why do you need such a large inside when you can't even fill it. This space would have been good for a drive thru with a building half the size. I'm sure there will be fights in the parking lot in no time with grumpy non caffeinated customers struggling in the parking lot. Staff was good tho can knock them. read more

Parking is horrible. I did a mobile order - berry refresher w.o water. Took a while for them to make the order. My drink wasn't shaken up & I noticed the color was off . Sure enough, I was right. The girl made my drink with tea instead of refresher juice. It was too inconvenient to turn back & have her remake it. It was a better option to buy a new one in the next exit :( read more

I am a Carlsbad local and WAS a frequent patron. This Starbucks not only causes traffic complications on Tamarack Ave., but added frustration when it comes to the parking lot. Not a good way to start off the day or experience it at any time of day. Like most businesses they start off great. But, after time they become complacent when it comes to product and consistent customer service (including the management). This location has definitely followed that path. If Starbucks is necessary. Haha. I would definitely suggest going to any other store. Would rather have the old closed gas station still here. Awful. read more

Covid and everyone is closing their stores. Some of the Starbucks are able to put on their maps and yelp "temporarily closed" in red letters easy to read and accurate. For some reason this Starbucks reads open and has the times in which they are "open" today. I have an iPhone 11 and the year is 2020 and again other Starbucks managers or owners are smart enough to figure this feature out. What a waste of time to drive to this location and it's closed but not indicated as closed on the map. Please to whoever the manager is or the owner figure out how other locations are doing this and jump on board. I'm sure when you spent your million dollars to open this store that you intended to do everything to please the customers because that's what good restaurants do is cater to their customers. Worst parking ever. People parking in red zones and handicapped spots when they're not handicapped. Huge SUVs trying to do 50 point turns to get out of the parking lot that dead ends around the back of the building. Someone almost backed into our car as we were backing out and they were trying to park in the red zone. Seriously, how did Carlsbad approve the building of this place? Poorly designed parking lot, only one way in and out. Just about impossible to do so in the morning. Mobile Drink order was wrong which just made matters worse, took another 5 minutes to get the order right. Very stressful experience, will not be going back to this location again. read more

Do not go to this Starbucks in the morning. The parking lot was apparently designed by an idiot so you can actually get stuck there in a traffic jam. The entry is too small for two vehicles so as soon as some dip shit in an SUV or Mercedes blocks the entrance everyone is stuck. Mind boggling. read more
