Came in today on my way back from Lebec, fighting a speeding ticket. I won, so needed a celebratory latte... not to mention I was exhausted from waking at 5am to drive up there, and needed to stay awake for the drive back to LA. Pulled into the parking lot and saw the line in the drive-thru... it was massive. 10+ cars. No way I had the patience to wait that long. So I parked and went inside. No fewer than 20 people in line inside. Stood there about five minutes and didn't move an inch. What was really perturbing was that nobody working there seemed to be moving very fast at all. Seriously, their pace was a lazy Sunday afternoon pace, not a jammed up at 10am pace. Walked out and ended up grabbing McDonalds coffee instead. Irritated. read more

I was very surprised to see how nice this Starbucks was considering when I searched for any food spot in the area, NOTHING looked even half decent! We came by around 7am on a Sunday morning to a fairly busy place. I ordered a grande hot mocha and a blueberry scone. The mocha was regular, nothing spectacular but nothing bad, just a normal starbucks mocha so that was good and they warmed up my scone without having to ask! cool! i actually never ask to have my scone warmed just cus I don't usually think about it, but they did, and it was great! We actually had to return about an hour later to pick up more coffee for the rest of our group and the employees remembered our name . . . yes I know it was just an hour but hey they mentioned it and it was cool! read more

Standard Starbucks food and drink, but horrible customer service from the barista. I ordered a rather large order for my family (so did my duty as a patron), and wanted to grab some water as well. I said "excuse me" 4 times to the barista, and she ignored me (The woman next to me looked confused about it as well, so I know I was loud enough), and then finally I had to wave my hand in her face to get her attention (she was less than 2 feet away from me). When she did look at me, she gave me a smug look and simply said, "yes?" I asked if she could fill my water bottle up, and she said, "give me a minute," and turned and walked away. Another (very kind) man came over and then helped me. There was no one behind me, and it didn't appear busy. I don't know if I somehow offended this girl who is in a customer service position by my "excuse me's," but regardless, the mid-20's, dark haired girl with brown eyes, working the morning shift on Tuesday, 5/21, was extremely rude. If management is reading this please remind her that if a customer politely says "excuse me," she has chosen a position where she is obliged to acknowledge the customer and ask how she can assist. It took entirely too long for me to receive my drink. I ordered, and behind me was a large group of people who all received their drinks before me. After that group left I asked if my drink was being made and the barista said they were about to start it now. I ordered it 20 minutes ago, well before that group of people, so why are you just making it now?? My drink should've been given to me first since I ordered first, or, at the very least, start making my drink first! Seems like common sense but Starbucks seems to be lacking that. Having made the round-trip from LA to points north in Kern County MULTIPLE times and having stopped in or driven through this Starbucks EVERY SINGLE TIME, I consider myself practically an expert. And, as such, overall, it is AWESOME. Yes, at times, it gets really busy. It is right off the I-5, after all. But never have I been treated rudely. Never have they mixed up my drink. Whether over the mike at the drive-through menu or in person, the staff here is always courteous and polite. It makes a difference, folks! I like this location I stop often going to and from LA It's located in a "rest stop" type of area Today was not my usual experience I noticed the staff was different so I knew to be specific and patient But today the barista was terrible. When I asked a question because she screwed my order up. Not to mention over charged me. I noticed I was billed incorrectly and instead of correcting it. She tells me I owe them .50. Instead of acknowledging the error she says "we did you a favor by letting you leave without paying." No you didn't do me a favor Thankfully My wife spoke with the Manager on Duty Maribel and she did her best to fix the problem. You come to Starbucks for a certain experience. Smiles and correct orders. When they get it wrong. They fix it quickly. But today the staff wasn't on point. read more

The perfect stop for a latte and breakfast sandwich whenever on a road trip north on the 5 freeway. You don't have to get out of your car either since they have a drive thru. I've had only wonderful customer service here, both in the drive thru and inside. They are quick and get your order right. My starbucks go-tos are: Venti Latte w/coconut milk and reduced-fat turkey bacon and egg sandwich. I love coconut everything and that slight hint of coconut flavor in my latte makes it perfect. I always get venti to sip on it for much longer than a grande or tall could offer. The breakfast sandwich is so good and slightly guilt free. I would also recommend the matcha green tea latte with coconut milk, which comes unsweetened and I love it this way. Less sugar is the smarter choice. Sometimes I indulge with my son and get us some cake pops. They are soooooo good and probably full of sugar. The birthday cake and vanilla are our favorites. Plenty of parking here. Bathroom is a single and kept clean from my experiences. Not too much room to sit and lounge at this Starbucks, but it doesn't seem like this particular location was meant for that. Enjoy! read more

I go to Starbucks everywhere and this one exceeds all of my expectations. The staff is always happy and friendly. They always take the time to greet you and strike up a conversation or just ask how is your day going. They have created a warm homelike atmosphere. I really enjoyed this Starbucks until today. Everyone has always been so friendly to me. I walked in at 7:25 am on 1/10/2022 to get drinks for my husband and I. As soon as I walked in I looked at the girl behind the register counter who was talking to another male with their backs toward me but she clearly saw me and looked at me and I smiled and said hi how are you? and she said nothing to me! No acknowledgment at all!! I was the one basically doing her job! She absolutely saw me and kept looking. She could've said "someone will be right with you!" She clearly worked at Starbucks even if she was just helping out for the day. After about a minute of me waiting there, another girl who was super friendly came to the register and took my order for me. The drinks were great and the girl who helped me was super friendly but I am still very upset by the way I was treated with no welcome from the other girl who just looked at me when I walked in the door. I spend a lot of money at Starbucks and I am all about customer service. I go above and beyond for customers in my own job and expect the same in return, especially if I am spending over $100 a month there. This girl who just looked at me and didn't say a word.. beyond terrible! I even say hi to complete strangers if they're standing right there waiting! It's common courtesy. I'm happy to say that the service here has changed for the better. You get your orders quick in your drinks quicker as well as getting them correct. This is definitely up to the standards of what a Starbucks should be. There's always room for improvement of course, I strongly believe that they should get the machine required to make nitro Brews. This is the 4th time I've been dissapointed in the drink quality. My favorite drink is the salted cream cold foam cold brew, and this location just can't make it correctly. There a Starbucks in the Ralphs up the street, I took my drink there and they fixed it the last time I got it. Today was another dissapointment. Well, I went through the drive through, a guy took our order, but when we got to the window (must be a new person) the girl asked me if my passion tea sweetened was hot. I said no, then she asked again what size I ordered. Then hands me my hot coffee with no sleeve just so I could burn my hands. My experience is that they should not be training people at the drive through. Maybe inside, but not at the drive through. Then she asked us if we wanted our receipt and told me the machine was broken and I'd have to wait. She then gave us our drinks and said here you go, no friendly comments, no polite, just gave us the drinks. read more

Sometimes I think my road trips are just sections of freeway driving separated by Starbucks stops. This particular location is a very convenient stop if you're driving North on the 5 just before heading North over the Grapevine. There is easy access on and off freeway at the Lake Hughes Castaic exit; I could throw a rock and hit it from the freeway. The bathrooms are clean, important if you're going to make room for a Venti coffee or espresso drink with the limited restroom options available in the Grapevine. There is plenty of seating at small tables with intimate groupings of chairs. There are even four comfy upholstered chairs to relax in. It looks like a fun place to hang out, but I really just needed a place to stop and stretch my legs before the long haul North. I did score a pound of their Casi Cielo coffee beans on this visit. I only just discovered these particular coffee beans in the last couple of weeks, but it is quickly replacing the Christmas blend as my favorite Starbucks coffee. Casi Cielo coffee beans come from Guatamala according to their packaging, which also claims it has lemon and dark cocoa notes. Yes, you just read that correctly, lemon and dark cocoa. It doesn't sound like that would be a great combination, but if you like the darker roasts as I do it is a smashing duo. This location has the same relaxing atmosphere as all the others in the chain with hip music and a natural color palette. And, of course, the free wifi that is standard at all Starbucks. read more

It may be a shocker but I have been getting away from Starbucks. Yes it is true however I had to stop for a much needed break from the road. Customer service was outstanding. The store was clean and organized. They did make a mistake in the order but the employees made up for the error with smile and a wink acknowledging the issue and immediately got the correct order. This Starbucks is a must stop spot if you are headed north over the Grapevine. We stop here at least 3 times a week. Its in a horribly run down strip mall where all the bigger businesses have left for higher ground but Starbucks is Starbucks. I have never seen a Starbucks as an anchor store for a strip mall but I guess there's a first for everything. read more
