If you had asked me yesterday, I would have given this location 5 stars. My go to drink is a short, dry, soy cappuccino. Think a strong espresso with just some soy foam. Yesterday- perfection. Delicious. The staff even asked if I wanted to top off the foam. 5 stars. Today, I ordered the exact same thing and instead I was handed a tall, very heavy drink. Clearly wrong. I got it home and it is not at all what I ordered. This is a soy latte. Nothing like my usual strong espresso drink. 1 star. I would have been just as good making a coffee at this hotel with a Keurig because I wouldn't drink that either but it would have been free. The woman ahead of me also had her drink made wrong. She looked at me and said "Everytime. I try to avoid coming here because it's always wrong." Take home: maybe better training for the staff at this location? read more

My absolute favorite Starbucks. I've been asking for the Taylor Swift Latte (even though it's discontinued and Holly always seem to get it right! She is really nice. She always has my drink ready as soon as I walk in the door on sight. I try to order right before the high schoolers bum rush the store. As a Starbucks junkie I'd say it's a big one! There are multiple tables that seat 8+, a couple 4 tops, some two sweaters and some comfy chairs. There is also a lot of outdoor seating! The servers were quick to take my order and quick to serve it. Taste and presentation were great on my green tea frappachino. As a business who sells drinks, their customers should be allowed to use their bathrooms when needed. Many people go to Starbucks to read or work and drink multiple beverages, it is mind boggling to not be able to use their restroom, but be told to go to another place of business. Terrible service. The woman misunderstood my name , which I totally get because of masks, but when I asked the person helping to get drinks out (after 15min of waiting) she was absolutely awful. She asked the baristas if they had made my drink and they both said no. Then instead of trying to get my drink made she just moved on to her next task. I finally asked for my money back when the barista mentioned that my drink was actually sitting on the counter. Turns out that my drink was made and was under the name Peggy. I wasn't about to start rifling through people's beverages on the counter so how was I supposed to know there was no Peggy? Really annoying. Definitely going to try a different coffee place tomorrow. read more

Purchased a Hot Carmel Macchiato and it was made correctly. This location has indoor and outdoor seating, lots of customers and is clean. Parking is terrible, you can expect to park at least 3 blocks away. On the plus side you get to enjoy Coronado as you stroll to your coffee addiction. read more

This has always been one of my favorite places to come to in Coronado to study and do work. Recently this location went through a renovation and many more places to sit and work were added, which is nice, although the "standing" work tables were removed sadly. The make over is alright. It definitely aligns with the current look Starbucks is emulating. However it's no longer as cozy as it used to be with it's now harsh and bright lighting. It is much easier to see the process of your drink being made since the new counters have been dropped by almost a whole foot. More refrigeration space has also been added for cold snacks and drinks on the go. This location has also recently added many new employees who are not always so kind or patient, which makes me miss some of the prior employees. But this is understandable as the lines can sometimes go out of the door here, especially during the very busy tourist seasons in the Spring and Summer. Come before lunch and before usual work times let out of you don't want to stand in super long lines for coffee or the restroom or deal with grumpy agitated employees. *a small update: BEWARE: This Starbucks charges extra for pumps of sugar free sweetener and heavy cream which is not in line with most other Starbucks locations. read more

Definitely one of the worst experiences I've had at a Starbucks. The staff was friendly to begin. I placed my order for a cold brew and breakfast sandwich. I waited and received the wrong drink. I informed the barista that I had ordered a different drink and she had said that this is what I was charge for. I proceeded to show her the receipt and she said "fine I'll make you another. " I waited for the drink and breakfast sandwich. The sandwich 15min later was still not done. While others ordered and received their food. I inquired about my sandwich and the barista said " sir I'll look." With a lot of annoyance. She said it would be another 10-15 mins. Total waiting over 30 mins for my order. Today it was "Venti quad skinny latte please" followed by her grabbing a Grande cup (which I did not notice till after I got my drink), and then repeating "Quad what?", so I repeated it slower only to have her look at me like "Bitch I am too damn fine for you to think I am dumb first of all, and second everyone wants me".....now understand I only say this because every time she has taken my order it is something of this nature, usually her not paying attention because she is too busy grabassing with some guy who works there "who obviously wants her " too. There's a girl with blonde braided hair and a peach colored shirt this morning that I want to recognize. There was an older man asking about his order who was pretty upset. She politely asked him what he ordered and for his name. Instead he put his hand up as to ask her to be quiet or to stop asking. She was persistent, looked at the computer and asked if his name was ****. He said yes. She said she'd work on his order right away. He said nothing. As she worked on his drink he starting complaint about something else. She apologized and fixed it. He seemed bothered that she apologized and actually asked her not to. Even still she said nothing and gave him his drink. Soon after a woman in her uniform seeing exactly what I'm seeing goes up to him and tells him that he didn't have to be so rude. I surely didn't have the guts to do that but I wanted to acknowledge the barista who was so patient and kind to him. Know that your character is admired by many. Way to go! read more

Leaving yet another review after giving this store a second chances. Walked in saw a coffee sitting at the bar waited an additional 20 minutes or so for my second drink in my mobile order to come it did by that time all the cold foam on my first drink had melted. Brought them out to my husband and tasted mine it wasn't sweet at all and neither of them had the layers of cold brew and then coldfoam it was all mixed in together. VERY disappointed so I decided to take mine back in. I went to the cash wrap cause it there were so many people and covid, the lady rang me up for another one but marked it as "free" it's not free I paid for this... Now I had to wait in an order line to get my drink fixed. Not to mention the "fixed" drink was STILL all mixed together - NOT cold brew with the layer of cold foam on top like it should be. Very disappointed it doesn't matter how busy you are you should be making drinks right in the first place and if not then at least prioritize the ones you got wrong. read more
