I know this Starbuck's gets really busy during peak hours but I walked in at a very slow time. I was greeted and acknowledged right away, which is always appreciated. I just thought it looked dirty inside. The floors looked dirty and the bathroom area looked dirty. It just didn't have the usual home like Starbuck's feel to it. The part I actually loved about this location is that they had a lot of product on the shelf. It's hard to find a Starbuck's with products these days. The service was also fast and friendly. Starbucks here on Route 66 might be one of my favorites, due to the fact that they have an amazing view (see photo) looking out to the bustling highway. I went to this Starbucks for the purpose of doing some work, and sitting next to the wide, ceiling-to-floor window just made the stay more pleasant. This is consistently the worst Starbucks. I only come to this location because it is convenient. While 1/2 the staff is polite, the other 1/2 is rude. Unfortunately the rude ones stay and the polite ones keep leaving. I have to wonder if it is a management issue. When I say 1/2 are polite, I don't necessarily mean friendly. Never had a great experience here where I felt like any of the staff actually cared about the customer. Many times they don't even fill the drink to the top. This was a very nice Starbucks location. There was nobody in line when I went, but my drink took several minutes to make because there were multiple drive-thru orders and internet orders. There were several workers, but still the wait time was a little long. I'm not a regular Starbucks drinker, but someone gave me a gift card so I ordered a pumpkin spice Frappuccino which I loved. You know as a high school student who frequently visits this location after 0 period, I had no troubles during the beginning of this year. Having a coffee or a matcha latte before my long day of classes and after-school activities helps me calm down and have a little bit of energy. Maybe they hired some new people onto their team. A few weeks ago I placed my order and headed to go pick up my mobile order, but I saw that it wasn't ready yet. Not a problem at all, especially since everyone goes to this location. I kept standing around there for about 10 minutes or so and then a rude employee asks me if I had a mobile order, and she proceeds to roll her eyes at me. I was not being rude of any kind, I just said I had a mobile order. She proceeds to make my drink and when it was ready she had a mean tone of "here you go". I was utterly shocked but I didn't really care at this point, so I didn't really think of it that much. Fast-forwarding to a week later, I went to pick up my mobile order again, and I didn't see a bright green matcha latte waiting for me even though I placed it very early this time. I waited around but I checked the mobile order counter, and apparently they made me a chai latte for some reason but on the label it clearly said a Matcha Latte with one pump of chai? I explained to the employee that this was not my order, and she kind of gave me an attitude too. I just think that this location in general needs more positive people on their team and can problem-solve issues more smoothly than other employees. I do like the fact that they have a drive-thru & also some seating inside and out on patio. Employees are usually nice. Thank you baristas for working so hard to get our drinks to us! So the next morning, on my way out to the wineries in Temecula, a Starbucks glimmered and smiled at me and I was turning in to get that tea. The girl was friendly and helpful since I didn't see it on the menu and and had to ask about it. College or high school kids in the patio keeping to themselves. Clean. This is probably my favorite Starbuck's in the area (and believe me, I've been to all of them). The staff here is always SUPER friendly, and they seem to be rarely out of ingredients. They're pretty efficient, especially considering how busy they get. There's almost always seating inside or outside, and the way that they implemented the drive-thru is very convenient and not at all difficult to get through. I got 3 regular iced coffees and all 3 people that drank it said it tasted STRONG. soon after we finished the coffee all 3 people got HORRIBLE anxiety and racing heart which is synonymous with caffeine overdose. Not sure how this may have happened but maybe they ran out of cold Brew and substituted with a shot? Or cappuccino? Something was and IS STILL NOT RIGHT I feel anxiety 4 hours later and so do the others. I have been to Starbucks 1000s of times and always get the same item. Disappointed I have to even give them a star. I am a barista myself and the way these people operate at this store is beyond my comprehension. My drink was made wrong and I asked the lady politely if she could just "add more milk" a milk that I paid 1.25 extra for making my drink 9$. When I asked her she had another girl come to the window to inform me she'd have to charge me extra. I informed her I worked as a barista as well and I know the policy and how the drinks are made and that I had already paid the extra 1.25. Instead of argue with her I agreed to pay an additional $1.25x2 =2.50$ I asked her to scan my discount and she proceeds to say it's $2.50 with the 50% off. So I looked at her in disbelief because not only did she make my drink wrong now she is lying to my face. I asked her how it could be 2.50 with my discount if 1.25+1.25 is $2.50 regularly. And she just acted like she was annoyed like dude how about me I waited in this long line for a drink you couldn't even execute and then u proceed to ask me for more money since u didn't make it right then u look me in the face and lie to me and say my discount applied like I'm not a barista who KNOWS the prices.
